Update: turns out she is now talking to the guy that was flirting with her about a year ago.

Yeah thats what she told me and she told me she was good enough to fool everyone but deep down inside she knew for a long time. The love just slowly ran out until it reduced to nothing. Sorry you're going through this man.

This is so common it's crazy that the same exact thing is happening to me. See my post. My advice man is just to focus on yourself. It's been about 5 days for me and I already feel so much better man. Truthfully if she's admitting she does not love you, deep down inside you must have known and felt it over the years. Time to accept it and let go. If you really want to get her back, focusing on yourself is the only way anyway so its a win win.

One thing I've learned is that being the best person you can be and treating someone very well, does not make them love you or want you. It's sad but that's just what it is.

Dude I am in a very similar boat, see my top post. Women are incredibly good at wearing a mask, my wife even told me this herself. They wear the mask because many times they are dependent on you for something, whether that be money, resources, comfort, etc. The signs are always there but they are subtle enough for you not to notice it or change anything. Really reflect on your relationship (in this case sex life) and ask yourself of those signs. If there were truly none, chances are she was just…

Honestly man we share a lot of similarities and I can tell you all the things I was doing for my wife just made her take me for granted and see me as weak over the years. Women don’t process these things logically like “wow he’s so awesome look at all the things he does”. They process these things more along the lines of “he’s weak and he’ll do whatever I say”. This causes them to lose attraction and respect over the years. I’d say your marriage is over. The verbal abuse is the icing on the cake…

Nah nothing like that and I’ve logged in on her social medias and phone many times over the years and have never found anything.

Should I take any steps to try to prove infidelity? I’ve looked through her phones many times over the years and it’s always been spotless.

I’m worried that she’s gonna pull a fast one on me when I leave for work. I travel out of state once a month or so. That’s my biggest concern.

Appreciate your help. It’s been so tough but I’m trying to be tougher.

That was not me that replied. I am the OP. I don’t disagree. She’ll never admit it though.

Should I see about getting some sort of STD screening? We did have intercourse right after she returned the day before all this happened.

The problem is the child custody is still jurisdiction in my home state which we moved away from 4 months ago. Jurisdiction doesn’t start here until the kids are here for 6 months. I’m in a tough spot with that.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
