I feel an emotional connection must be present. If there's no emotional connection, you will look for other reasons like attraction to be the downfall. A married couple must have an emotional connection to be successful. Theres alot of research on emotional connections you can learn from google. A lot of people lose their emotional connection when they don't feel supported or if one feels like the effort put into the relationship isn't being matched by their spouse. This happens often after bein…

It shows that you actually loved her. It's painful to learn when the ex-wife can move on so quickly. Better your body. Better your mind. Better your life.

She doesn't give a fuck about those dogs if she is able to throw your relationship out so easily. She is toying with you. She wants to see you upset, angry, hurt, depressed. She wants to feel like the winner. If she really cared about the dogs... she wouldn't only see them for 5 mins.

Never enter a contract with someone who receives a prize for breaking it. I could understand the 50k if there is proof of you cheating or if you abandon the marriage. In 10 years, she can cheat on you and leave you with cash prizes. If you want to have kids one day, find someone younger. 35 year old women are not great at making babies. However, love is love, so if you want to marry her, whatever assets you bring into the marriage should be yours. This screams red flags, bro.

What did she tell you to expect if you pull the trigger?

I tell myself it's for the better and I know it will be. For some reason, I can not follow through. I guess it will have to take time.

Thank you for helping this stranger in pain. I'm just having a really hard time getting motivated to do any of that. In my mind, I know that I have to do all of that. It's just I can't get out of this little bitch mode. My mind literally races in circles. I make food for the kids and just the smell of food makes me even more nauseous. I can't stop simping over my wife. It's a constant battle. I tried today to find a therapist and 5 minutes in, I got overwhelmed. I have been watching motivation v…

I have plans to, but I can't bring myself to get out of this pathetic state of mind. I know everything I should be doing but I can't even get myself to consume food.

I hope it gets easier. 3 days in. Never felt grief like this. 3 days without eating. Can't stomach eating. My mind can't stop racing. 23 years couldn't buy one more chance with her. Now I'm just trauma dumping on reddit.

The coworker did just break up with his girlfriend. However I'm friends with the coworker and my wife isn't what he is looking for in a woman. Her mom left her marriage for another man. It wouldn't shock me if the apple falls right under that tree.

Just thought we could get through it all.

Thank you for your post. Apparently, I was already putting all my effort into my children and none to my wife

I can't see that yet. Everything I worked for and built for this family is just going away.

I really hope that's not true. I feel it's her therapist and coworker telling her to go make herself happy by getting freedom.

I honestly do believe that. She was diagnosed with it as a teenager but never got treatment for it. Completely forgot about that.

She isn't that bad. I painted myself better than her out of frustration. She has her faults just like myself. I just don't understand why she wants to quit so fast after 23 years of being together.

It is giving her power. I'm done begging and making promises. Thank you.

Thank you for the post. Loved the advice of treating her like a coworker.

Thank you for all the advice. It's crazy how strangers will help random people like myself. Thank you again.

Thank you for your post. Sad thing is I still love her. I believe she had people at her work convincing her to do this. I can't see them giving me over 50% custody just because she has issues with over spending. I really appreciate it

I put my kids ahead of my marriage it seems. Didn't have a good balance. All I want is them to be happy. Thank you for your post

I couldn't imagine 4 years of this. I really hope this is a gift. Just the idea of going days without seeing my girls is destroying me. Thank you for your post.

I hope it is beautiful. It just seems so far away. The hurt is unlike anything I have ever felt. Thank you for your post. I appreciate it

Never thought I could be inspired so much by a post. Thank you. Your post hit the nail on the head. I was basically simping over her even though I'm the only donkey struggling to haul this cart called family while my wife just put rocks infront of the wheels. I guess I just didn't want this change in my life. Fucking hate change. Thank you again. That message has got deep into me.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
