Haven't you heard of the '4B' movement? Women are choosing to be single, because men take more than they give and create more work for women. Whereas men are terrified of being single because they need a mummy to look after them into old age. A lot of single old men alone with no family or friends because generally they don't really care about what others want. But they still expect to be looked after by someone. Look at statistics of men leaving women who are unwell etc. Hypocrites.

I'm not raising anyone's child.

She shares real statistics, well done for trying to be funny though. You literally didn't watch the video. It's about unclaimed bodies. Like bodies found in homes that were left there to rot for days. It's data from states in america of bodies waiting to be claimed by family or friends as no-one has. A massive majorityol of them are men. It's sad but refutes the belief in my country.

Don't get so defensive over statistics. Men need to think about this and the importance of treating others kindly and putting effort into making good friendships. They also need to realise the truth.

I will share it with any man who feels like they need to insult women for wanting to be independent. In reality it's sad that so many people die without any friends or family to claim them. Though I know that not everyone cares and could have lived a great life.

I'm just refuting the old, long standing insult and presumption that women need a man or they're doomed to be alone with noone. Which isn't true and is actually the opposite. It's a common phrase where I live and it's used against single women all the time.

But if you looked at the link, way more unclaimed bodies of people who have passed are male. Because women have meaningful friendships and better relationships with family etc. Women are not as alone as you think if they don't have a man.

My argument stems more from being independent. Men die lonely more than women in that sense and as seen in the video which uses official data there are over 50% more unclaimed male bodies than women when they die. I agree with you about the statistic around women being more likely to be left alone to die when needing care due to terminal or serious illness. These are different topics though I'm talking about men dying lonely with no one to claim them more than women. Which goes against the insul…

1 + 1 = 2 (2 times the work)

It's happening though, look at the reduced birth rates.

Ok, say that the many people on the 'I regret having children' facebook page. Or look at the stats.

But women aren't controlled by that as much as men. Women can be happy on their own, surely biology should say otherwise if you follow it like a rule book It's like me saying 'a lot of women get post-partum depression, this must mean birth is bad.' Because a body can do something doesn't mean it's better to do it. Males rape all the time, there are other animals that rape too. But we view that as bad (well hopefully a majority of men do).

I thought I mentioned the premium but I can see I didn't. Premium doesn't matter either. The free ones are full of creeps, it's impossible to filter the messages without wasting time to find a decent person. The premium usually have less creepy men and more serious people. It's easier for women to find a man who is more mature on a paid dating site because they usually have limits and you have to spend more to message more people. So the men are more restrained and thoughtful. The one desperate …

Women aren't depressed and lonely for being single. They're considered the happiest demographic. Really weird to use men killing women as a point to say men need women more. Men can't control their emotions as well as women. I love my cats and they're soo cute and make me so happy that I want to squeeze them. But I've never wanted to kill one for avoiding my touch.

Being on a dating site doesn't mean as much as you think. I know women who are on them just to see if there is anyone interesting enough but aren't too bothered anyway. It's like leaving a fishing rod out while having a picnic, the rod might get a bite but you're not really bothered either way. Women aren't as desperate as men seem to be. A series of relationships sounds like 'just having fun'. Women can like casual sex too and just having fun.

No, it's most likely that the men caused the women to have more work. Because most men really are like children and don't lift a finger to clean their own messes. Why would a woman want that? When she can have a good career, less chores to do and a social life with hobbies. What does a man bring? Women are happier single. Men need to realise they can be happy too if they focus on what makes them happy and learn new skills etc.

This argument bases itself on the idea that 'women know they can just get someone else', like it's no big deal. This ignores the massive societal pressure put on girls and women not to be 'slags' or 'sluts' and the ridiculous importance placed on virginity and the precious hymen 🤮. Men definitely have the unfair power, look at how many women are murdered by men. You say no to a man, it's reasonable to think you might be murdered or raped. It's not easy and it's certainly not how most women feel …

Is this a well studied idea, does it change depending on the country or culture? There are a lot of questions but I genuinely find it interesting. I will be honest, my partner is 'well-to-do' but I didn't know this before. When I met him, we always paid half and half and he had an old banger as a car. I still do pay for my half! But it would be interesting if I subconsciously stayed with him due to the 'resources'. Not that I think that's the case! But it's a possibility whether I like it or not…

I could never have sex with a man I find unattractive, even with a lot of money and a good job or whatever. Yet average looks and personality and job is great. I think this is too black and white. I do admit that I've seen your scenarios and agree that they do happen but life really isn't that simple.

Feminist here. My long term boyfriend is 6 years older that me, we've been together 8 years. I can quiet honestly say that I have always liked older men. I find most younger men to be immature, have no focus and a bit annoying. Great as friends, I have a lot of male friends, but not for a relationship. Even the same age is difficult for me to comprehend but this might change when I'm in my 30s, as I like that age in men!

I have but I have no where to go and can't afford to. Plus there are good qualities, not that it's outweighing this situation. I have told his mother 'to cut the apron strings', she knows how I feel. See, that's where I feel uneasy. I hate not paying my way and I always feel guilty for him paying for the house etc. I've said this to him and he says not to feel bad but he has said (and his mum) that this isn't my house.

I would say it was his reaction, plus it's practically every decorating discussion that she's involved in (wether she's there or not). I will take into account not to worry about petty issues, it is something I worry about doing.

I have had discussions with him, explaining how it makes me feel but he gets defensive. I don't mind her help in regards to 'this plant is dying as it has x disease' or 'I think there's a damp issue, you might need to peel of the wallpaper there to check'. But when it's 'remove that wall and make it open plan' when she knows she's taking about removing my favourite room in the house and he's probably gonna do it. Then I'm not happy.

I have had a few discussions, explaining that it doesn't feel like our home when his mum has so much input and he listens to her more than me. He thinks I'm attacking his relationship with his mother when I talk about this subject. I've explained that we're meant to make this a home but he says 'his mum has similar tastes as him' or 'she feels like she's being pushed out of my life'. I was very unhappy with the house cleaning issue, he knows I don't like it when she's over for 4 hours and snoopi…
