I don’t agree with everything he says or how he adress some things, but he talk about issues that need to be adressed and he’s one of the very few that does. All thing considered he made and hopefully will still be able to make a positive impact. With all the talk of the "manosphere" and the "rise of misoginy" and stuck between the unadressed rise of toxic feminism and open misandry, keeping advocates like him is our only hope for a better future for boys, men and everyone.

Took me years to realise… decades even. The first barrier is realising, then it’s convincing others (police, therapist or whomever you encounter while asking for help!) it is at this stage that you realise that there are structural (and rhetorical) obstacles. It’s crazy how much I’ve heard common feminist slogans and ideas when I denounced such acts. That’s how I realised the extant of how feminisn is paradoxically very patriarcal in it’s assumptions.

I’ve been called a misogynist a few times for pointing to ex colleagues that equality is men and women being paid the same for the same work when they used expectations and stereotypes to manipulate me into doing more work or doing the tasks they don’t like doing. "You’re a man you should be the one doing it." One of them even told another that I should be doing anything that they don’t like since I’m a man.

My current and last girlfriend said explicitly that they are not feminists. I feel it’s kind of a requirement for them to show they understand men’s issues or at least recognize that society is misandrist for me to consider having a relationship with them. Of course, nobody is perfectly egalitarian but as men we need to start expecting a much higher standard of equality from women and stop tolerating blatant misandry and upholding of constraining gender roles toward us. Having a relationship wit…

There were plenty of feminists justifiying her action and for a well-known feminist with a large following from a group who are quick to scrutinize and amplify any minor incidents (like a simple phrase they don't like) as examples of misogyny, her blatant sexism was given pretty much a free pass. No outrage at all like any man would have gotten (and rightfully so) for harrassing women and filming it, let alone passing it as activism. I didn't get much time to look at the comments before the post…

She’s from Montreal and pretty popular in the province of Quebec. She was invited to womansplain masculinity on a very popular talk show. She brand herself as "the feminist who love men" yet is full of misandry and contempt including for young boys (just read the first chapter of her book "For the love of men").

I understand your point perfectly and even somewhat agree with it. However, my issue lies with her intent. From her perspective, men touching women in that way is, at best, inappropriate and, at worst, sexual assault. By that logic, she is deliberately engaging in behavior that could be considered assaulting men—just to “teach them a lesson.” The bottom line is this: she acknowledges that the act itself is wrong but feels justified in doing it to men solely because of their gender. She is commit…

Her point was that it’s wrong to do that to women therefore it’s ok to do it to men to "teach them".

She’s touching strangers and making the point that most men do this (and not women) and shouldn’t since it’s sexually harrasing women. Somehow she can’t extend the same logic to men.

She removed it from her instagram and story. She seems to have blocked me for having commented that I feel disgusted as a male victim of multiple sexual assaults at work (healthcare sector). Her message is clear : male can’t be victims and have no right to speak up against sexual abuse. Here’s the link : https://lizplank.substack.com/p/men-touch-my-lower-back-why-cant

If men would pay more for more masculine brands it would be simply branded as toxic masculinity. Why the lack of accountability when women make bad financial choices?

Not the first instance of feminists being violent against a man. There was a video posted where a man got stuck with his scooter surrounded by feminist doing a rally. There were a few women hitting him viciously and after a while of getting hit from all directions he got fed up and defended himself, the crowd immediatly started hitting him and stepping on him. He ended up dead from brain injuries. No accusations and no media coverage. There’s plenty of stories like this that aren’t covered by me…

I am! I recovered and I am actually glad this relationship happened because it made so much trauma come to the surface (which she used against me) and made it possible to start the healing process. I wouldn’t recommend it though.

Feminism in India worries me alot, especially when I saw a man who got stuck in a feminist crowd (his scooter was there), feminists where hitting him and he did nothing… until he could take it no more and hit back… the women started hitting him until he died of a traumatic brain injury. I saw a compilation of videos going virals of women sexually assaulting men (lots of childrend and elderly men) after they decided men can’t be victims.

What a coincidence, I litterally just had a conversation about this with a female colleague who brought the subject. She acknowledged the hypocrisy of women and mentionned how toxic female dominated workplaces can be. I work in healthcare so it’s a very common complaint. I hear about it almost everyday.

Recently got into a debate with a feminist friend and told him "I care too much about equality to not criticize feminism, unless you think that feminism has got all the answers and can’t be improved you should welcome criticism ». To be clear, I think feminism should be abandoned. It has gone too far and is litteraly a hate movement or very close to being one.

For me, masculinity is about a way of being (a set of attitudes, behaviors, and beliefs). It’s just a concept about what we see as an aggregate of what most men are like. Those attitudes, behaviors, and beliefs aren’t limited to men and are not biological in nature. Therefore, why attribute them to masculinity? I’ve known plenty of feminine men and women who had « toxic » beliefs, behaviors, and attitudes generally attributed to men. My point is that « toxic masculinity » is being used to confla…

I found this to be true also. How I see it is that feminism has become an "ideology first" movement where orthodoxy is more important than concrete results. Kind of like a cult to be honest. I could write a whole book on the contradictions found within the feminist discourse. While there is some diversity of opinion in feminist circles it always resolve around the same concepts and start from the conclusion instead of building theories based on facts and evidences. Feminism often seems to protec…

This is true I found. This may sound contradictory but I see alot of misogyny from feminists (male or female) who hate men. In the end, hating one gender will always lead to more hate on the other side and is never useful and certainly not conductive to positive change in society.

Doesn’t the idea of a hyper version of male gender roles contradict the idea that it is common? Most feminists will affirm that toxic masculinity is widespread and not a special kind of masculinity. Also I think it’s important to understand that we need to stop conflating masculinity and "toxicity". Doing so is falling right into the trap of why the term is used by feminists. It’s a linguistic tactic with the goal of blaming and fostering hate toward a group by associating a negative quality to …

The term toxic masculinity is not and never was about the so-called "toxic" behaviors of some men. It always was about demonizing men, otherwise it would have been given a gender-neutral name like "normative gender roles". Notice how the term toxic feminity is seldom used and described in a way totally different from toxic masculinity (basically as internalized misoginy instead of as a group of behaviors and attitudes associated with feminity).

I work in healthcare, and I pretty much receive inappropriate and sexist comments (including blatant sexual harassment) almost daily in every place I’ve worked. I’ve been sexually assaulted by multiple colleagues (my union and employer in public healthcare don’t punish women who sexually assault men). As most have commented there is a right-wing bias in most subreddit related to men’s issues. I would add that a left-wing approach is needed because feminism, the dominant discourse on gendered issues is very left-leaning in it’s approach. Having a left-wing approach to male issues is useful to adress both the political left (and right) bias against men and feminism because it bypass the dismissal of men’s issues as a right-wing reaction to feminism. It is less polarizing and more useful to work…

Thank you for sharing this. I can relate 100%. You are not alone, I shared your perspective for a long time. It’s good to see we’re not alone thinking and caring about those issues. This subs also helped me when I became suicidal during my last relationship with a violent feminist. Her feminist discourse was instrumental in leading me toward suicidal toughts. This fits my experience very well. I asked for help so many times to different people (my union at work, HR and other similar department at work, immediate superiors, etc) when I took a leave from work because of daily sexism, sexual harassment and sexual assault and suicidal thoughts I never received any, the female doctor who saw me told me my problems were just personnal conflicts and blamed me for not asking for help earlier (I did ask for help for years) and that it was the reason she refus…

We know that men are less likely to recognize when they have been raped or sexually assaulted, and they are less likely to report the assault. When they do come forward, they are less likely to be believed, and if they are believed, they are often not taken seriously. This issue is especially true when the perpetrators are women as I believe most of the time it is. After coming to terms with my own experiences, this is what I concluded. When reflecting about the past and reliving my traumas, I h…

"Men should stop thinking they have to be strong all the time and learn to be vulnerable." "You’re not as entiltled to feeling vulnerable at night as women are!" Feminists are often the ones promoting what they label themselves as toxic masculinity.

Today no woman would be expected to stay in a relationship with someone who blame every problems on her gender and see no nuances to gender issues. You should uphold the same standard for yourself. I’m not telling you what to do but having been in the same situation I confronted her about her feminism. Pretty much every work setting I had in healthcare, and I had multiple, I was groped and treated like a sexual object. I’ve had multiple women while dating or even in long term relationships who didn’t get that the idea of consent apply equally to men also. Without going into details… I’ve even been violated while sleeping by a feminist who was soon going to court to testify against her presumed rapist. Her excuse was simply "you’re just too hot I couldn’t resist".

I had a long talk the other day with a so called old school feminist (she’s actually young) who work in a women shelter and she says that she and a few other feminists who are for actual equality (for all not just for women) are hated for trying to bring men’s issues instead of just hating on them. I think gen z boys see feminism as modern feminism while boomers think of feminism as the old version that was much milder and had legitimate concerns.

I think we’re just taught from childhood to shut up and accept how really is and just deal with it. Unlike women, asking for help or asking for compassion toward ourselves as men is rarely an effective tactic. We’re left with a lose-lose situation. Most men choose to just take the abuse and injustice and shut up because otherwise you’re seen as weak. There is also a backlash when men issues are dicussed especially when the person speaking is male. You’re automatically labelled a mysognist or som…

Sometimes the root cause can’t be resolved, maybe only managed. Diabetes can lower testosterone, also hemochromatosis from which the damage can be permanent. It really depends but of course if you’re healthy with no specific medical condition the basics which everyone should do anyway have to be dealt with first. I’m talking about eating right, exercise, sleep, stress and THEN the right supplements (zinc, D3, magnesium, some herbs...) if needed.
