You picked a 3-hour long movie? Haha Edit: props for leaving your comfort zone! Learn from the mistakes and move ahead, maybe try to set a second date with her.

This is something I struggle with a lot: keeping the fine balancing between giving a girl too much attention and seeming needy or too little and seeming uninterested and cold. How can a guy gauge his interest properly?

I made a new tinder account 8 days ago and got 18 matches throughout the week (6s to 8s, tbh but who cares). I downloaded bumble three days later to compare and only got 3 matches so far, despite having swiped more. None of the girls on bumble initiated conversation, which pretty much defeats the purpose of the app, while I got most of the tinder matches to at least reply. I’ll see if I can get their numbers soon.

My two cents: a picture with a gf will make you look like bf material (good) and no hookups should have any reason to haunt you unless they are crazy. You seem insecure from this post, though, superficially trying as much as possible to come across as attractive. Food for thought...

I am far from being an accomplished player, but thought your issue was easy to recognize because it's something I struggle with as well. One last thing to keep in mind that what often keeps us from escalating and demonstration attraction and intent is fear of rejection. This is hard to get over and everyone finds a different method for overcoming it. For me, something that resonated very well is to think of every rejection as a way to learn from your own mistakes and to accept that it might hurt…

Dude! First things first, actually make a proper move on her! Ask her out on a date. There’s no point giving up on her if you haven’t even asked her out yet. The likely reason why she deflected when you asked her to watch a movie is because you came off as insecure in how you hesitated to make a move on her during and after the party and when you later showed your attraction to her. The text invite builds on that impression. Right now you have her interest as well, but you’ll lose it if you are …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
