Evolutionary psychology is a very controversial in academia too. Also the people here depicting rp as a misunderstanding of evolutionary psychology, but it's not like the conclusions of evolutionary psychology match blue pill concepts either.

Ok I am not sure this is true, I thought what they were advocating was legal prostitution. Regardless, that is fucked up and insane to will.

Forcing young women to be sexual tools to serve young men won’t make men any less violent Who the fuck is suggesting that? The point is however that this issue needs to be somehow addressed, but no sane person would want women to become sex slaves.

In a sense this is correct. Take your example about height, women love tall men, but by definition half of men aren't tall so there is naturally going to be an asymmetry between men and women (in favour of women)

You would have to be millionaire to overcome that, something that is realistically impossible for 99% of men.

So how would a 5'2'' guy become a top tier man?

So you're saying that to become Chad you have to have game? Do you realise that Chads are just people who won the genetic lottery?

Not a woman, but hypergamy is simply the behaviour that women exhibit in dating. A lot of people are saying that it is a vague concept without a clear definition, but I think that doesn't mean it is observed in reality. Just because concepts can't be precisely defined doesn't mean that they don't represent something real (Sorites Paradox). The way I would define hypergamy is that it is the tendency of women to look for partners that are better or equal than themselves in terms of status, money a…

Ok this is a lot of rubbish. While there might be some men that like to punch way too high, the vast majority of men recognize that they will never be with a supermodel. We have studies that show that men are often much less pickier about their female counterparts. Also where did you get this idea that men don't work to improve themselves? As an example, I have been to countless gyms and in all of them 80% people were always guys. Guys work much harder than the average girl to improve and mainta…

Supposing that people's height preferences change in real life (you will still have to address the problem of online dating which is the prevalent mode of meeting romantic partners), it clearly disproves your point of "just taller than me". Clearly we see that women don't want that (because online dating must reflect the preference of real users to a certain extent).
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/20 01:15 PM

Clearly you haven't read the study properly. Look at this graph preferred height difference A 5'2'' woman wants a minum of 5 inches of difference while a 5' woman wants at least 8 inches of difference.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/20 12:22 PM

Not really true. For example, this study https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0191886907002814 shows that for a 5'2'' girl the minimum height requirement is 5'7". The average preferred height difference goes up as the height of women decreases, so clearly is not just a "taller than me" preference.

When you refuse to date someone because of their height is not a preference, it's a requirement. I prefer brunettes to blondes, but I am not going to reject a blonde simply because of their hair colour.

Yep, I think it will happen more and more in the future. I personally would rather die alone than going through such a painful surgery like limb lengthening (which is also a threat to your life). I understand men who do it, women (especially younger ones) are obsessed with height and the reality is that they have the power to choose so they will end up getting what they want (from a purely physical point of view) in the vast majority of cases.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/20 03:02 AM

Except that women are much pickier and the ideal male body type pretty much rules 80% of the population based on a genetic factor alone like height. Then you add further immutable traits like penis size and that percentage increases even further. The ideal female body on the other hand is much easier to achieve.

Brad Pitt is still considered universally attractive by women. Just because you don't think he is not attractive, doesn't mean the majority doesn't.

Short guys don't hit on you because 95% of girls who are taller than them will reject them. And short guys are not looking to date 6 footers.

It's obviously not 100% biological, there is a considerable social element to it. I think there was a blog post where they compared height preferences in different countries and they found for example that in Russia preferences for height were not as strong as in the USA. Also the media is fixated with this idea short men = weak, tall men = leader. Furthermore, and this might sound silly, but HEELS make a huge difference. Girls who like to wear them often have a even stronger preference for tall…

A 40% increase in a 5'2" guy's height is not equivalent to growing 3 inches (mathematically it would be 24 inches, but obviously that's impossible biologically). But to answer your question, yes a guy who 5'2" is going to have a MUCH harder time than a guy who is 5'5" (the latter having a much bigger dating pool)
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/20 05:48 PM
2

Of course it matters, if I can something so influential solely through exercise and diet then I definitely have it easier than someone who can't change those features no matter what. And "40%" is the opposite of negligible. Do you realise that nearly half of something isn't the equivalent of "growing 2 inches"?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/20 05:38 PM
1

That wasn't my point. My point is that height is immutable and waist to hip ratio is not. Guys would kill for they could influence their height by 40% solely through exercise and diet.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/20 05:32 PM

As a guy who had a flat ass and is now in very good shape, my butt is now significantly bigger and rounder (been training for 1.5 years) . I have already acknowledged that there is a large genetic component to it, but exercise can greatly improve your butt and waist. It's true that losing fat might make your butt smaller, but it also make your waist smaller. However diet and exercise can greatly influence waist to hip ratio. https://www.nhs.uk/news/genetics-and-stem-cells/genes-for-pear-shape-fo…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/20 05:18 PM

It's true to that one cannot change their bone structure, but what you said is demonstrably false. Women can improve their proportions by building up the muscles around their hips, while keeping their waist slim. You can exercise to increase the size of your butt and build muscle around your hips. There are many workout routines that are specifically aimed at this.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/20 05:05 PM
2

That's a false equivalence. Height and penis size are normally distributed, I am pretty sure "working vagina" (whatever that means) is not. Waist to hip ratio is a trait than can be greatly "improved" through exercise, nothing you can do about height and penis size. Also waist to hip ratio is a definitely not a requirement in the same way height is for women.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/20 04:30 PM

It's the most important physical trait.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/20 04:27 PM

Yep, to be fair though I think it was around 47% of women expressed that preference. Other women (I think around 30% further went for 180 as their ideal)

Studies about height preferences in women. It matters because it shows the effect of height on a men's attractiveness by objective measures rather than opinions (which is what you are stating). If you are short your best option is to compensate in every other department and hope for the best.

But the criteria they will use to judge those partners will be the same (pictures) regardless of the platform.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/20 01:54 PM

But you are assuming that women go for taller guys than themselves, when in reality they go for taller than average male height men (indeed studies show that the preferred height difference increases as the height of a woman decreases).
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/20 01:53 PM

But they all like tall guys and guys with a not-small penis.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/20 01:28 PM

Yes women's standards are very narrow and most men will not fit this standards. Just look at height, there was a recent study in Old in Italy, that women think that the ideal height for a man is between 183-185 cm. That's basically less than 5% and unlike most physical features in women, height is a an uncomprising requirement for women. The vast majority of men will never achieve that standard.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/20 01:26 PM
1

I am tired hearing this about old. Online dating is the Most common way for people to get in relationship (i think studies show nearly half of the couples meet up online). And more people will use in the future, so it will get worse. You can't tell people to just not use old when the majority of people are going to be there.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/20 12:29 PM

Your point is simply invalid, e.g. Height is the most important trait in the attractive value of a man and it cannot be changed.

wear elevator shoes. This will only work for first impressions, but eventually you will have to take them off.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/20 06:16 PM

No it's obviously not possible. Suppose you are a man with a small penis and you are 5'4''. How are you suppose to transform yourself into Chad? The ideal male body is largely based on genetic traits, while this is considerably less true of the ideal female body.

You see the point of my post is not to have a discussion about me. The point was to convey that height, because is one of the most important factors for a men's attractiveness, is a source of assymetry in the success of dating. It puts 50% of men at a significant disadvantage. Now you can tell me about all the things that makes women unattractive, I am not denying that they don't exist, but it's clear as water to me that they either aren't as important as height or they aren't as relevant to the…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/20 12:20 PM

Yes but there is no equivalent of height and it is an immutable trait, largely determined by things outside your control. You mentioned race, but racial preferences exist in both men and women. Also non of these things you mentioned are as important as height for women (which affect 50% of below average height men) and men don't have strict requirements about those things unlike women do. Furthermore, the only women who struggle in the race department are black women and I am not sure that the p…

Sure, just type "Conditional mating height preference" on Google for example (there are others as well that have drawn the same results). BTW I started thinking about the height asymmetry quite recently because I live in the UK and we have a reality tv show called Love Island and there is a contestant that's around 5'7'' and literally all of the girls mentioned how this guy is not tall enough for them (one of the contestant who's barely taller than him in heels mentioned: "he's shorter than me")…
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/20 06:46 PM

Simply not true. Guys a few inches below average are far less attractive to women than tall men. There are studies that show when women were asked for their minimum acceptable height, the difference in height turned to increase as girl got shorter. A girl who was 5'2 required her partner to be at least 6 inches taller than her, while a girl who's 5'3 wanted the guy to be at least 4 inches taller than her. And this a minimum requirement, in practice they probably guys who even taller.

Yes, I suppose I am wrong in that sense. However, I will say that when women reject short guys, I have seen it plenty of times addressed as "not manly", "you are like a little kid" or one time I even heard "disgusting" (I think there is a video on youtube made by popular channel where this happened), so it always feels like they are rejecting you questioning your worth as a person. This is why I think it's ironic because when I can't imagine them thinking that of their own sons.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/20 04:43 PM

Nothing wrong per say, but it's ironic because it seems like a form of self-hate.

Height means the same to women as it does to the men who care about it. It's the man's confidence and charisma that will attract. Not true, we have COUNTLESS studies that show it's just not about confidence. Women with small tits, flat butts, weird shaped bodies aren't attracting the men they want either and it's probably worse for them. Again not true. There is no height equivalent for women (for women height isn't a preference but a requirement)
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/20 04:22 PM

I get it bro, but the best bet you got is focus on other things. I am short as well and been rejected several times for my height, there is nothing I can do about that. I will just have to go through life like this, but don't tell me that girls are the only thing worth living for, that's just not true. You said you've done those things, then do more. It's fine to complain (you SHOULD) and I am doing that clearly as well, but I think my life has some value to myself independently of the fact that…

What I meant was that height creates an asymmetry in the success of dating as man vs a woman. There is no equivalent of height for women.

Not really, the study showed that taller women are fine with a men who is a few cm taller than themselves, but they still have a requirement
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/20 09:57 AM
3

Yep, the only difference was that young women weren't financially independent and hence needed someone. Now women are more than free to choose their partners based whatever they want without constraint and because men will always play an active role in that regards, women will always be picky.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/20 09:52 AM

Honestly it is what it is bro. Look women aren't everything in life. I recommend you to go outside and volunteer, it won't give you sex and relationships, but trust me it will make you happier and give you some purpose, helping others is a great feeling. I know it sucks, but kind of like Camus said, life doesn't make any sense but we should live despite that.

Do you think short gymnasts are just as successful?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/20 09:32 AM

I think you are right that for most women there is someone too tall, but I think men women find those men attractive they just don't date them for practical reasons. Like kissing, hugging and sex are probably just too awkward. So for the general population, you are right about that range.

I am pretty sure that NBA players do very well with women.

Yeah I think you are spot on, but then sometimes I wonder: are girl more attracted to guys with guns? Like are policemen more attractive because they are technically able to protect you more? Or do you think this doesn't register in women's brains since it obviously came only in recent time and hence it is not encoded in genes.

I think that's because people don't usually think of dating as a "system", they just kind of go with the flow and they think "individually". They don't think dating "collectively" and don't bother too much with the trends of modern dating. We are told that there is someone for everyone and that our personality is the most important thing. Most people are completely unaware (and will remain unaware) of the all the studies and statistics about physical attraction, but in my opinion it's clear as w…

That statement is empty without knowing her face, hair, body etc. I mean I think it's quite obvious that is without factoring other things. And how many women even are 6'5 for you to make a fair comparison? This is exactly what I wrote, you have to be a "freak" height to be unattractive to guys, I don't think we disagree here. You are absolutely right about women disqualifying a guy just because he is slightly below average and that's exactly what I said.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/20 12:53 AM
4

I disagree, I think a 6'5'' girl is definitely less attractive to guys than a 5'5'' girl.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/20 12:45 AM
6

What are you trying to say? And 6'1 is not "extreme" at all. Being below 5'7 however makes you quite short, and generally women look for a man that is at least 5'11 (maybe slightly shorter if the average height in the country is shorter) or at least taller than her. I meant for girls height becomes a problem if they are in those extreme ranges.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/20 12:36 AM
15

I remember there was one study that showed that desired height difference increases as women gets shorter, so I think you are correct. Women don't simply want someone taller than them, but tall men.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/20 12:15 AM
