And yet very few people in the comment are concerned with trans people, they are much more concerned with bashing feminists.

That's not what this sub is here for. Men's rights is supposedly for Men's Rights. Yes the feminists in this article are 100% wrong but this article A. has nothing to do with men's rights and B. does not represent feminists as a whole. It has no place in this sub and it gives it a bad name.

This is not r/antifemenism. Take your shit elsewhere, this is why the men's rights movement is looked down upon.

Stop posting petty bullshit and focus on actual issues. This is the EXACT same thing that so many on this sub bitch that feminists do.

SOME feminists are like that kjust like SOME MRA's are misogynistic assholes. Both subs have people that make redditt worse and both subs have what makes it great. I just commented on the safe place and "WAT ABOUT TEH MENZ" reaction and have plenty of upvotes. Get off your high horse because there's just as much bullshit in this sub but that doesn't make the sub itself bad.

This is a non issue. Do it because you are her friend, or don't because your bed is your space. It doesn't matter either way.

The piece may not be anti-feminist, but many men in this sub will jump on that bandwagon because there is so much hate towards that group. And as you said, the article is anti-racist and anti-classist, neither are things that are strictly men's issues which is why the article doesn't belong here.

This has nothing to do with men's rights. Posting this here just serves as an anti-feminist circlejerk.

This is not the kind of person we want to be defending. He was arrested for arson, not destroying his property. Also he seems unstable, just because a couple is going through a divorce doesn't mean the woman is at fault or going to take everything. This guy seems unstable and from just the information at hand I can't blame her for wanting to leave him.

You don't know anything about the situation. He obviously sounds unstable, maybe she left because of abuse. Stop giving MRA a bad name.

A huge step would be instead of attacking and generalizing all feminists as a single entity you educate them. The aren't wrong that they deal with inequalities either, but this bullshit fight between the two groups gets nothing accomplished. some guys are misogynist pricks and then women retaliate with their own sexist jokes, where does it end? An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. -Ghandi

Why are you even a part of this sub? This is supposed to be about equal rights, not that women are inferior.

Can we stop screen capping tired cliches? There are actual issues that need to be brought the public's attention, posting shit like this and then bashing on feminists just proves to them that we shouldn't be taken seriously.

What does fewer responsibilities have to do with rights? Should an 18 year old kid who is going to college and has everything paid for by their parents be denied the right to vote because all he has to do is worry about grades? Or to put in in MR perspective, what about a stay at home dad whose wife has a high paying job. Should he forfeit the right to vote because he is just taking care of the children?

But that doesn't make it right. We, as a society, are not responsible for the actions of our ancestors.

I'm not arguing about who had it worse. Just that feminism was needed at the time because they did have fewer rights.

That's an excellent way to promote progress. Let's all dwell on how shitty we had it 100 years ago instead of working on solutions for the problems plaguing us today.

Even if this was feminists, which it isn't, this was also nearly one hundred years ago. Should we still judge white Americans for being slave owners? Why don't we stick to issues that actually matter. Oh and feminists were needed at the time seeing as they had many fewer rights than women do today, starting with that whole not being able to vote thing.

Substitute Christian for Muslim then. After 9/11 all Muslims were viewed as terrorists by the masses and are still persecuted against by those who haven't educated themselves. The point is that EVERY large body of people cannot be summed up by the few outspoken in their group. Would you like to be judged by the loudest and most hateful men's right activists?

I said we as a fellow man, one who has been fucked by the divorce court. Do you mean that a problem arises when a rational discussion takes place about feminism? Your meaning is vague> What I mean is that instead of attacking any person who has identified as a feminist, find out what they believe and why. Most of the inequalities we, as men, face are from a lack of education about the double standard we are up against. Not a single person who I have talked to has denied that there are things tha…

Implying that defending feminists is inherently a bad thing. What they originally stood for, equal rights, is what most people who identify as feminists want. You can't judge an entire organization by a few outspoken individuals. How about instead of attacking feminists you bring up the actual inequalities between men and women. I stand by my statement that most people will concede there is something wrong if a rational argument is brought to bear. But attacking an entire group of people, with a…

You are what is wrong with this movement. Saying all feminists are the problem is like saying all Christians are represented by the Westboro Baptist Church. Most people aren't aware of what we have to put up with and even people who identify as feminists would concede that there is a problem with the system when a rational discussion takes place. Blindly attacking a group of people who are only loosely associated with each other is not doing you, or this movement any good.

Yes, let's stoop to childish antics to get back at people we disagree with. I'm sure that will convince people we should be taken seriously.

She's hasn't been convicted yet. Why don't we hold off on judging the justice system for this case until there's' actually a verdict.

As much as I would love to get behind this movement, posts like this make me ashamed of saying I support MR. Yeah, she's a bitch, now let's all jump on the woman bashing bandwagon. Watch one of girlrightswhat (spelling?) videos she said something that made a lot of sense. I don't know it verbatim but it was something along the lines of people join the feminist movement because they believe it's for equal rights. Men join MR because they were wronged by women which makes them angry and spiteful. …

I'm referring mostly to the replies. Yeah divorce fucking blows. I've done it. I was fortunate enough not to have any kids to deal with. But I've been dating the same woman for 2 years now and I definitely plan on marrying her. Someday. I told her up front I won't be pressured into it just because we hit the 2 1/2 year mark or some other arbitrary line and she said that was fine. Like I said, marriage isn't the problem, it was being a dumbass 19 year old rushing into things because I was joining…

This is the type of thread that gives the Men's Rights movement a bad name. There is nothing wrong with marriage. The problem is too many people rush into it without thinking of the consequences. Most of this thread sounds just as jaded about marriage and women as they say feminists are. There are plenty of legal and fiscal reason getting married makes life easier especially if you're going to raise children together.

I don't understand what you are trying to say. If I quit paying for dates, I won't go on any. I don't lose or gain any money. Are you equating a relationship to a dollar amount?
