It is very wise to seek alignment on values and morals, and past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior. That is why background checks exist. A relationship founded on fakery and deception is no relationship at all, and doomed to failure. Therefore, it's obviously wrong to misrepresent one's past. Especially when it comes to dating and relationships.

It's not just you and your generation. It is vast technological and societal change in an incredibly short period of time. I think, social engineering. I'm thankfully long married, because if I had to deal with such long odds for romantic companionship like young men today, I doubt I would've achieved a fraction of what I have in life. Because without hope of family and legacy there is little motivation to work hard. In other words you all got a raw deal. Women have such high expectations now th…

Well said. The proliferation of porn has been extremely damaging to men, and social media has been just as damaging to women. I believe heavy controls will eventually be placed on both, else too many people will remain stuck.

BS. Build yourself up in the ways that matter most to you and you will become more desirable. Because confidence is what is most attractive of all. You don't need validation through toxic crap like hookups and FWB to know you're wanted. When you are getting there you will know and feel it. Including energy from others. No need to bang forgettable bimbos, potentially getting the gift that keeps on giving. Stay clean and pure. Save your attention, value and virility for someone deserving, rather t…

There are men who abhor casual sex because it is terrible for all parties involved, as well as society at large. Or it may be against their values and/or religious beliefs. In other words, these men are against casual sex on principle. Then there are men who may want casual sex but cannot get it, for one reason or another. For many of those men, a committed relationship provides the only access to women. But, casual sex tends to ruin women for relationships. Both of these groups have a valid bee…

Someone who fucks around to "relieve sexual energy" isn't someone to be taken seriously. Period. What a silly scenario.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/02/26 05:37 AM

It's unfortunate that you've had bad experiences with men, but what's the point of projecting that onto random people that you disagree with on here. You can't possibly know them well enough to make a judgement like that.

They don't really think men are insecure for holding their sexual past against them. I mean, how absurd is that. Rather, they use the label as a shaming tactic simply for having preferences. Like their own preferences for status, resources, etc. They know that men equate insecurity with weakness, and nobody wants to be called weak. Unfortunately for them, more men are wising up to their manipulation tactics.

Whether realized or not, all men are essentially programmed (instinct) to have the following strong preferences in a romantic partner, and relationship: Committed over casual Cooperation over competition Softness over hardness Peace over conflict Submissiveness over assertiveness Love over transaction Innocence over baggage Wholesomeness over hotness ...etc. Between traditional and modern, it should be pretty obvious what type is more appealing to most men for commitment, relationships and marri…

70% of men aren't in anyone's league? What an absurd statement. It just goes to show how warped many womens' perceptions have become. Watch those perceptions change with the economy taking a dump and benefits cut, directly or indirectly (inflation).

Well, women these days appear to be trending towards preferring short term casual relations over relationships that are deep, lasting and intimate. The former is simply not accessible to a majority of men, until they're much older and probably jaded. This is a massive shift in dating, relationships and family dynamics. It will have huge consequences for society, and yes civilization.

We live in an era of rage baiting and doom scrolling. For profit and control. Much of this supposed gender war is completely artificial. AI and tech enables the complex social engineering we see today. Just look at the toxic soup that is X and social media feeds.

It's probably a key societal concept for advancement, the expectation that most men will have access to a mate. Not only does this raise production, it increases the security of a society. Fewer idle men. More men with purpose. I believe it is self correcting. As we fall into economic hard times, security will decrease. More women will seek a mate.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/25 06:03 PM

Relationships don't have to be stressful. At least, not very often. With the right person and learning how to co-exist over time.

If you see yourself as the "applicant" in a potential relationship, you've already lost. Relationships are based on mutual respect, equality, and fairness. A business partnership would be a far better analogy than employee and employer. Now, the modern selection process is something entirely different. All I can say on that is, I'm grateful my marriage predates OLD. Lol

Easy to say that as a woman. It's a good question why women generally have more platonic relationships than men. Why do so many men seem to struggle with friendships. Google's AI Overview's take: " Why do women tend to have more platonic relationships than men? Women often report having more emotionally intimate friendships, a practice supported by their willingness to share vulnerable feelings and seek mutual support, which can be hindered in men due to societal expectations or a tendency to pr…

You should consider looking into 'Karezza sex', which is basically a slow, sensual type of lovemaking focused on relaxing into a blissful state and bonding with your partner. Rather than the goal being simply to power to orgasm. Excepting procreation, of course. I believe the main idea being reducing the frequency of orgasm. Because it has costs as well as benefits. Literally, it's called 'the little death' in French. Karezza is sort of like a minmaxer's approach to intimacy. I've started readin…

Players and other predatory men have been around since the dawn of time. Of course they seem good because it's part of the strat to get what they want. E.g. manipulation. The way to deal with their deceit is simply making them wait for sex. How long? At a minimum long enough to see their full personality and properly gauge their intent. Most will have other options and no patience for waiting. Like most highly impulsive people.

Interesting. My wife and I married right after college. We had a modest wedding with a handful of close friends and family. We did splurge a bit on the honeymoon to Bali, though. 30 yrs later we're closer than ever, and well off financially. Maybe there's something to that inverse correlation between wedding cost and marriage duration. Hah

Women's love is just as conditional as men's. Just watch what happens to a woman's respect and attraction towards a mate that lets himself go mentally, emotionally or physically. I don't know if there's a greater 'ick' within a relationship than loss of confidence, motivation and energy. My own wife has fluctuated over the years in several of the marital 'challenges' on the OP's list, yet I love her more than ever after 30+ yrs together. Why? Mainly because of our shared history, deep connection…

Times can change with economics and personal safety becoming important factors again. Especially as the economy is continuing to worsen, and more people fall into de facto poverty. Research shows that poverty, unemployment and income inequality are significantly linked to higher crime rates, particularly violent crime. I think one issue is, women don't seem to factor in a man's future potential like they used to. They want the attractive traits up front. The end product. I meet the 3 E's that women seek in a partner, but I've also been married 30 yrs and owe much of my development, and motivation, to being married. When my wife and I got together (early 20s), I really only had Education. I was a work in progress Economically and Emotionally. Like most young men. I suspect another issue is, many "good men" are …

Interesting post and comments. As someone long married, I have to ask whatever happened to dating and trust between men and women. It sounds very different from only a couple of decades ago. It's like some sophisticated social engineering is going on behind the scenes to encourage animosity, pitting men vs women to weaken from within and ultimately collapse Western society. It's working masterfully. Collapse will happen on the current trajectory. Such social engineering is too easy in today's Wi…

First of all, anyone who needs online videos to tell them how to act and how to treat women, has lots of work to do. On themselves. If a woman truly desires immature douchebags, she isn't GF material. Period. So why waste time with someone like that? How is waiting (more than a couple dates) for sex being hung up on sex? Maybe some would like to wait a bit to see if there is alignment on values and morals. Sex is still intimacy for lots of folks, rather than just some passing recreational activity. If that loses her interest then good riddance. She probably bores easily in that case. That's sort of the point of waiting. There's lots of fish in the sea.

Then I realized what males are and why they have all these problems. Wow, what a bizarre thing to read, even by reddit standards. What are males supposed to be in your view, expendable? Do you think nature intends things to be any easier for women? As someone 50+ I can verify that, for men, a higher level of testosterone improves quality of life.

How is that an issue? I'm just telling you how I think a lot of men feel about it. Like they're missing out. Hint: they're not But, how can you compare being born into, or earning your way into, a tiny elite with being born into half the population. Lousy comparison. The main issue for many men: casual sex is an option for nearly all women, but is only accessible by a small subset of men. One can argue that most men have access to it later on, but by then most are jaded and the available options are unappealing. I think casual sex is terrible for both sexes, and I'm hoping it falls out of favor soon. That pendulum may already be swinging.

Because women aren't men. " Men tend to be more visually stimulated and experience more spontaneous arousal, while women's desire is often influenced by emotional connection and relationship dynamics. " That's a short summation by Google's AI. Therefore, women trying to have sex like (some) men is not natural. Emotionless sex is even strange and unnatural for lots of men, too. Many believe that women accustomed to recreational sex, that is with feelings detached, have lost capacity for intimacy.…

Those men were likely open to the possibility of a relationship. It's quite unnatural and jarring to meet a woman only interested in casual. I doubt anyone seeking a booty call would care how you felt about the possibility of anything deeper. Or how you felt about anything, really.

FYI - that sense of 'ownership' goes both ways. Although that isn't the best term for it, since we're not property. Rather, more like caretakers for each others' heart. The result of years of commitment, trust, and vulnerability. Don't you desire a sense of permanence in your long-term relationship? As opposed to a temporary rental? (another lousy term lol)

Lots of men apparently like the fake bimbo look, and many other men prefer clean, natural beauty. Different strokes. All that plastic fakeness won't age well. It boggles the mind that they don't consider that when they get the work done.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/25 05:24 PM

All I can say is g'luck when one gets older with that mindset. With age and maturity most people start thinking about deeper meaning and purpose in life. Career, superficial experiences and material things are all transitory compared to family and close relationships. A sense of fulfillment becomes more important.

Well, society can also change back in a hurry, such as when hard times come and people prioritize necessities, stability, relationships and family again. That time may be coming soon, if the economy worsens into something more severe than a typical recession.

I guess in that sense I'm glad I didn't accumulate a bunch of sexual encounters pre-marriage. Because comparison sucks eg the thief of joy. By the way, becoming/being exceptionally physically fit gets noticed by others, including women. In addition to keeping your libido primed, it makes you more of a prize in her eyes and ignites desire. Assuming your marriage is already healthy, of course. I'm sorry, but I just don't understand this mindset. If you truly love your long-term partner, why would you ever want to hurt her by going outside the marriage for your sexual needs? I have a hard time believing that she wouldn't care. Maybe I just have a completely different experience, as neither my wife nor I were ever promiscuous in our pasts.

Definitely not everyone. Of course those with more experience with a range of partners will lose the interest sooner, or burn out altogether. Especially relationship sex. Also, casual or recreational sex is completely different from actual intimacy, and can permanently blunt capacity for closeness and bonding (incl. intimacy).

As someone who has been married 30+ yrs I can report the opposite. As we are now empty nesters winding down our careers, we have much more time and energy to explore our libidos together. Probably because we're both less experienced (me n==5, her n==1) this is all new ground for us, with no points of reference/comparison nor expectations. I think the commentary about marital unhappiness in those days is overstated, or possibly propaganda. I'm now in my 50s, and I had the sense when I was young that most marriages were happy, if a bit mundane. My own marriage of 30+ years is amazing and not mundane, especially lately. But, we took our lumps and worked for it. It hurts my heart that people feel so cut off from relationships and marriage. People giving up only compounds the problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 01:15 AM

Sadly, that thinking is a departure from what was the norm only a few decades ago. The majority of men and women would get into relationships and marriage. That's a major shift in a short period of time.

Although I'm not sure there are zero men that can turn most women on purely visually, we must acknowledge that their attraction mechanism is far more complicated than for men. That's why for men, if confidence doesn't come naturally, it's highly advised to work towards becoming exceptional in some way, to become more confident. Physical fitness is fantastic because it also signals certain positive traits to women, in addition to building confidence. Like you said, it's just a matter of taking a …

Absolutely true, as past promiscuity (partner count) is positively correlated to increased cheating and divorce. Backed up by statistics and common sense. This is why transparency with potential romantic partners is so important when it comes to our values and morals, as well as our histories. Life goes by too quickly to waste time and resources, and potentially accumulate baggage, trusting the wrong people.

Aside from prostitution, sex is either intimacy and more meaningful, or it is recreation and by definition less meaningful. It cannot be both or alternate back and forth. For the vast majority of men, sex is inherently scarce which increases its value, hence more meaningful. Therefore, when a woman treats it as something of little value and essentially gives it away, eg promiscuity, that's a fundamental difference in values with the majority of men, which automatically makes her less appealing. …

It's quite simple really. Sex is nothing more than a fun recreational activity for that type of woman (and men who do the same). Pretty soon even the govt won't be able to help take care of them, because it is flat broke and will have no choice but to inflate away the currency. Then we will all be completely on our own. That's when we will see a return of the family unit. Those left out will suffer the most.

Trying to explain how male attraction works to women, is like trying to explain what the sky looks like to a blind person. We're just too different in that regard. Women simply cannot separate sex and feelings like men can. It's one reason why the construct of marriage is vital for women, providing external forces for commitment. Once feelings have been divorced from sex, those women are left with little anchoring them to any partner. A major reason why promiscuity destroys pair bonding in women…

How would you describe having sex through a hole in the wall, with people you cannot even see? It's safe to say that attraction isn't at all a prerequisite for sex, for many men (and some women). Mental imagery and fantasy can make up for a lack of attraction.Especially for sex addicts. Lol

Well I'm sorry you're apparently so jaded? Such sentiment was actually fairly common back in the day. At least among people I knew. A man's love is far more than lust, else how can you explain the deepening of love whilst lust may be decreasing, or fluctuating with typical career, family and other stressors. Meaningful and meaningless intimate encounters are completely different experiences, obviously. For the latter, any "connection" is completely superficial and fleeting, and it can be difficult to even remember after some time has passed. Thus, cheapening what intimacy is (perceived to be). Meaningful intimacy on the other hand, especially within a relationship, only deepens connection with time as feelings, trust, vulnerability, and pair bonding are established and grow. I can agree with this. I'm pretty sure that all of us, or almost all, have that animalistic part of ourselves that wants to fuck like beasts with the nearest hot girl/guy. But then things like values and morals are what stops us. Or, we're committed already and think of the long term consequences, and effect on our loved one. I'm not sure about that. Pre dating apps, the vast majority of men got into relationships and marriage. Yes, that included most introverted men as well. I don't believe that's the case anymore. The thing is, just a decade or two ago women could and would be attracted to many of today's undesirable men. If you don't believe self improvement affects mindset in a positive way, if you don't think improved mindset increases the odds of finding and sustaining a relationship, well then I don't think we have anything else to discuss. We are who we are. We may as well make the best of it, continuously working towards becoming a better version of ourselves. I have 2 nephews who are close to what you are describing. Both in their late 20s with the odds stacked completely against them. Both having zero ex…

For sure if they feel it is hopeless, then it will be. I will maintain that it is because they give up, or get lazy. A self fulfilling prophecy. Feel free to disagree. Anyone can improve on themselves if they put in the work. That leads to confidence which is attractive. The sooner one stops comparing themselves to others, the better. Unplug from social media if it gets you down.

I do not believe there are people who are truly hopeless in the romantic sense. For sure, there are many for whom it will be very difficult. But not impossible unless they convince themselves that it is, and fail to put in the work.

I agree that dating around on the apps (and hooking up) is basically sex addiction, which is extremely similar to substance abuse. With dopamine as the drug. I think very few have the discipline and willpower to manage excess choice on dating apps, and end up self sabotaging themselves (in the long run) as well as hurting others (baggage, STD risk, etc). I agree with the concept of SMV and RMV but talking about it on forums like this is counterproductive. The experience in dating simply too diff…

This post basically summarizes why dating apps are counterproductive for most women, and also the small subset of "top men" (that is, "top" in superficial qualities conveyed through photos) Too much choice, perceived or real, has a tendency to cause inaction. In the case of dating and relationships this manifests as a lack of commitment, as well as thinking someone better is always just around the corner. This form of “choice paralysis” results in anxiety and stress from overanalysis, and made w…

Yes, that's exactly what I've done for my 21 yo daughter. Now I cross my fingers and hope for the best. Wait, are we talking about children or potential partners? This is a big reason why age gap relations are weird and kinda pervy. Whether the man or woman is older.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/25 09:24 PM

That may be sexual fantasy for lots of men, but the vast majority of marriages end up being close in age. Relationships are much more than sex, and age gaps typically bring insurmountable differences in maturity, world views, etc.

... few men are capable of having hookups that mean nothing to them, and acting on it ... Fixed that for you. For one group (women) it's literally the easiest thing to do. For the other (men), it is very difficult. Therein lies the difference. Hooking up is unhealthy and self sabotage behavior for both genders. Usually not realized until the damage is done. There are many men that are able to hook up like that, but choose not to. They understand that it's a colossal waste of time and energy. The…

Age gap relations are weird and creepy, regardless of whether the man or woman is the older one. No one thinks of whores as some "trophy" to be won, whether gen z or not. Lol. More like a booby prize, or bit of fun. For guys who are desperate, or degenerates who don't mind a dirty dick. Red pillers and feminists are 2 sides of the same coin, influenced by grifters.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/24 07:53 PM

It may seem hypocritical to someone who cannot distinguish sex from relationships. Of course men want sex, but traditionally that's always been within the context of a relationship, for most men. Because sex used to require some sort of commitment. Women have always been able to get sex whenever they wanted. Now with dating apps many women are acting on it, having non-committal sex with what ends up being a subset of men. No one wants leftovers (especially well used), for many reasons. So there'…

Many "formerly" promiscuous people who suddenly value monogamy and commitment to one person will become dissatisfied with the same old, same old of marriage will find a reason to divorce later on. Due to affairs, boredom, irreconcilable differences or whatever reason. It's just a matter of time. People instinctively know this, which is why promiscuity is a huge red flag for so many people. Being driven by libido isn't healthy nor good for longterm stability.

Lol I'm not religious at all, but nice try. Also, I'm fairly certain PPD skews younger and thus more liberal compared to the general population. I'm very sorry you were treated like that. There are many men who treat their women far better than that. I wish there were more caring elder figures willing to offer advice on what to look for, and what to avoid in romantic interests. Like back in the day. There were times I didn't treat my wife very well, especially early on. But we mature over time. Fortunately she gave me a few second chances, and things are better than ever for us 30+ yrs later as empty nesters. It really is incredible.

In my opinion, the 20s are the best time to get in, and stay in a relationship. For both men and women. The odds of a new relationship turning into long-term appears to plummet with age.

That's what the RP'ers refer to as Alpha Widow. But it doesn't have to be a single Ex from their past. Many intending to have fun, casual encounters actually end up with repeated heartbreak and a hardened heart. Beware those types, as they're usually incapable of true closeness, e.g. pair bonding

I'm with you on sluts of either gender being gross and degenerate. They're sex addicts after all, which are similar to drug addicts in always seeking dopamine hits. Overriding better judgement, and stunting development in other areas. The difference is while any woman could be a slut, only a tiny minority of men have the ability to sleep around like that. They either have natural genetic gifts, or hard-earned attractive qualities developed over time.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/11/24 11:24 PM

Yet, the apparent consensus on those datingover* subs is that most women's libido is higher after menopause. At the same time lamenting how most men their age suffer from ED. So, they must seek out younger men. Yeah, right. Are women qualified to discuss ED issues in men? Do they know what it's like to be in a man's body? We should at least have consistency.

Well, many of those dudes who are so good at pleasuring women have had lots of practice with many women, which is why they're so adept at reading and adjusting their sexual techniques. Are you sure that's what you really want. With that logic porn stars are the best lovers. Be warned that many of these men are effectively disease super spreaders, given how rampant STDs are nowadays. I think men and women should be seeking to connect on a deeper level beyond just objectifying each other.

Well, it's pretty easy to filter out the dirtbags, PUA types, plate spinners and other deceivers. Simply make them wait for sex. See if they want to engage, spend time and get to know as a person in the meantime. There will be lots of tells in their behavior. I think pr0n use by married men is often a chicken and egg thing. Many unfortunately turn to it for relief when their wives withdraw sexually for whatever reason. Obviously not the best thing to do because it's a slippery slope into overuse and addiction. Good news is it is entirely reversible with effort. There's almost always shared responsibility in marriages or relationships that end up in a dead bedroom situation.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/24 08:26 AM

It appears that a good chunk of women get a renewed libido much later on after they have lost their marriage or relationship. Or, give up on ever finding one. So they sleep around using the apps. It's bizarre. Just check out the datingover* subs for some entertaining reading. They would have you believe that menopause doesn't blunt the female sex drive. Somehow I doubt that.

We live in an era of division and hostility towards opposing viewpoints. Sadly, this even extends to relationships and understanding between men and women. I think a lot of misogyny and misandry is reactive to distorted perceptions of the other side. Thus we get radical extremists on both sides. For example, red pill/trad vs radical feminism. How does he know what her "playbook" contains? Why does that even matter? Even thinking about such a thing is unpleasant. It's not fear, it's a turn off. We go through life being compared constantly. Who wants to bring that to the bedroom.

Interesting. So that's why women have such a strong tendency to compare past and current partners. To judge sexual competency, consciously or not. Comparison sucks. Who wants that kind of pressure. Assuming you meant delaying sex to weed out the deceivers, manipulators and cheaters, well that is the number one thing that can fix dating today. Simply withholding for a period of time will reveal true intent, guaranteed. Who is interested in you as a person, and who is just interested in your body. It must be consistent from the beginning to carry much weight with men, but they will value it extremely highly if they're interested in you.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/24 12:52 AM

Different strokes for different folks. We all have a right to our preferences. My point was to assure the OP that many men DO share her sentiment on that topic.

/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/24 08:29 PM

Most people with maturity and world experience know that morality is a slippery slope. At the micro (individual) and macro (societal) levels.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/24 08:15 PM

And? There are ancient works of art depicting lots of different things. No one said this was anything new. I personally think the (supposed) increasing prevalence of anal sex is a symptom, not the problem (general moral decay).
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/24 07:59 PM

Or, it could be that many of those women say they like it, but do it for more complicated reasons. It's harder for me to understand why men like it when there's a more suitable entry point nearby. Excepting gay men for obvious reasons.

Virgin young adult women are incredibly desirable to men. Always have been, always will be. For so many reasons. Besides, who wants to embark on an exciting new journey (relationship) with someone who has been there, done that with a boat load of other people. Virgins who are older do raise questions, but are still generally preferable for many men over burnt out promiscuous women bitter with trauma and baggage.

Then we shouldn't stop them from exchanging money for sex. As ugly as that is. Fair is fair.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/24 01:27 AM

That's very odd, for someone to do that after months of buildup. Did you two have any deeper discussions after the deed was done? Maybe he learned something about you or your past that he was uncomfortable with? Then he chose ghosting rather than hurting feelings. Perhaps he was just a jerk. But then most won't wait long at all without sex before moving on to the next one. Definitely not the players I know of.

Or, one can seek non-promiscuous women to invest time and energy in and possibly commit to. They do still exist, albeit much rarer. In Western countries. It's no accident that the more men a woman has been with, the more likely she will feel hostility towards all men. Who wants to deal with that. Undamaged women with morals and values still intact are absolutely worth holding out for. But they deserve to be appreciated and treated well.

Anyone in situationship(s) clearly does not know what they want, hence the ambiguity. Why in the world would you want to "compete" for let alone get involved with, someone like that. Are you desperate? Play with fire and you will probably get burned. Deservedly.

How am I supposed to know who the right man is for sex, if he's pushing me to have sex with him before he bothers to show me anything significant about him that makes him a real person Your answer is in your question, and that's how I advise my own daughter or anyone else who asks. Men trying to pressure and manipulate women into sex are precisely the men to avoid. This used to be common knowledge, since 'players' have been around forever and fathers look out for their daughters. Men seeking a r…

One could say, if women can "trade up" for a better option then why can't men do the same thing. Fair is fair. I think it's far better to date with intention, whether male or female.

Joke yes, but it suggests a rigidity of thinking that has been consistent with your replies thus far. Similar to the RP dudes who generalize all women. Good luck to you.

This forum is great for debating gender issues. But it's pointless arguing with someone who thinks men and women are somehow at war. Especially after you put words in my mouth regarding values, that I also disagree with. So call it a cop-out if you want. To me, it's a waste of time to argue with people who've already made up their mind, and who makes generalizations about an entire gender.

I'm not gonna get into a debate with a so-called "gender warrior" who apparently has an axe to grind with men. Those aren't my values either, so your reply is just plain silly. My wife happens to be a full time engineer like myself and laughed at your silly assertion. We aren't "dependent" on each other. Rather, we complement each other, and enhance and facilitate each others' lives. Especially financially and parenting our child. Children need a lot more than just financial support from fathers…

I think neither men nor women are maturing faster these days. Generally speaking, of course. Women just wanting to have fun or focus on career in their 20s is stunting interpersonal development. Many seem to be gaining baggage and trauma from (the wrong) men rather than valuable relationship skills. Men on the other hand seem to be languishing without purpose, which stunts their development and makes them even less attractive to women. Speaking as a man, nothing destroys purpose and steals passi…

Well. Back in the day, OK just a few short decades ago, a man's future potential was weighted very highly by women. As in priority #1 a lot of the time. They weren't competing with each other for established men to the degree they apparently are nowadays. I had nothing but student debt, a crap car, often couch surfing, back when I met my now wife. I also had much less confidence as a young man. She took a chance on me in my 20s, which gave me purpose and passion, and we built our lives together.…

Calling someone a "prude" for not wanting to hookup is a manipulation tactic, to get hookups. Historically, most slut shaming has come from other women.

Assuming that is her normal behavior, I wouldn't want her to change it just for me. That would be a strong indication of her values, and I would be impressed by her strength and security in herself. It would be a huge green flag for me personally. After all, that used to be common in women. My partner waited a long time to see if my commitment was genuine. One reason we're still together almost 30 yrs later.

What does casual sex have to do with parties? Are you a swinger? Lol

Well yeah, society is kinda done when the most intimate act between two people has been reduced to meaningless recreation or a glorified handshake, for much of the population. The societal backlash against degeneracy is coming. A hard swing towards conservatism will be no fun.

Well, those guys don't care what you call it and they certainly do not care if you think they have commitment issues, or whatever. In fact, that makes it easier for them when women think that. They're just there for a bit of fun before they move on. Ie., a booty call.

Because so many of them have had LOTS of previous partners, they get bored quickly and are used to moving on. Or, they are not over some Ex. They often mistake infatuation for love. Sex stopped being special or meaningful to them long ago, thus it's difficult if not impossible to bond or connect emotionally with such women. This used to be common knowledge in prior generations. Needless to say guard your heart against those types. Very easy to identify with experience.

Yup, too many people are chasing instant gratification and cheap thrills these days. Intimacy is greater than mere physical pleasure, and actually magnifies it.

I also believe that excessive porn ruins a man's ability to pair bond. Just as casual sex does for men and especially women. Good news is porn isn't remotely the same as real sex, so the negative effects are fully reversible after a short period of abstaining. Unlike the effects of excessive promiscuity which are permanent.

Most actual 'high value' men are long married, and fully committed to their women and family. A man who truly loves his woman, wouldn't want to hurt her by cheating. Period.

Ouch what a jaded viewpoint. I'm sorry you feel that way. There are so many men who aren't like that. Most of us in LTRs selected our partner precisely because of who she is in terms of personality, behavior and values. Of course we love and treasure our women and families. Everything else pales in comparison.

Yeah, I was thinking about that. It depends on how "bad men" are defined. Is it attitude, or actual violence (physical, mental) and crime. I think some women are seeking the former but can fall prey to the latter, which is a manifestation of it. Obviously, a terrible mistake.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/24 08:58 PM

Women who are attracted to bad men, are also bad. They're either mentally ill or have dark hearts like the men they desire. Nothing good comes from dealing with them. Being a "nice guy", as in pretending in the expectation of receiving something, is weak and lame. Just be yourself, and treat others as you want to be treated.

I think it's an honest question as to why some women would choose men like that. Clearly it's not all women, and if he implied that he's in the wrong. But there does seem to be an appeal for a large portion of women. If it's subconscious and is tied to childhood trauma/experience, that makes sense. Humans do seek out, and tend to feel secure in the familiar.

I'm no expert on manosphere talking points but I'm pretty sure "alpha widow" refers to her best sex partner, not the first. Someone she's basically hung up on and can't get over.

Life is all about choices and trade-offs. If you have people who rely on you, perhaps it's not an realistic option for you. But it's far more doable than you might think, and perhaps for many others reading this. It was great for honing his Spanish which he now utilizes every day as a mortgage broker. One of his friends spent 2 years in Latin America, m…

Women may be able to find better options, but they can rarely keep them. Hence, everyone loses in the long run. It's one of the major societal issues of our time. At least in the West.

Some people do exactly that, for years at a time. It's called being an expat. Learning languages and experiencing other cultures is fantastic for personal development. Potential romance is bonus. Or just stay miserable, and bitch and moan incessantly.

That median is either long outdated, or women have a different definition for what qualifies as bodycount++. As in creative mental gymnastics. It's hard to envision women who have participated in OLD to have a lifetime bodycount of only 4. Or those who've been single for an extended period of time. ROFL I'm advising my son to avoid women who have ever done OLD. For a variety of reasons. It's his choice, of course, but thankfully he respects my opinion.

While it's important to focus on oneself first and foremost in order to be a better person, husband, father, etc, the instinct is strong to protect the ones we love. With our lives if need be. Every man who truly loves his wife and children feels this. I don't know if it's biology, sociology, evolution or what, but it's very powerful and ingrained. I don't expect women to feel the same way, except towards her children and that's ok. It's just the way things are.

Disagree. Many guys are more the relationship type and only interested in getting with girls they actually like, and who like them. Also the health risks aren't worth it. Sharing fluids with strangers is sharing STDs. Especially hpv strains that are permanent and recurring. Doesn't anyone doing that shit care about hygiene? Gross.

Well, if I was single I would take a chance with that kind of mental illness over the other kind(s) that seems to be prominent among promiscuous women. But I already found mine and she's been far better than I ever expected. Sans mental illness of any kind.

I don't know where you get this concept of having to "guide her through sex". If she's a virgin and is comfortable with her partner, just doing what comes natural is far more enjoyable that practicing "techniques" on each other. That sounds more like mechanical sex, rather than making love. No thanks. Exploring new things together is much more exciting than same old, same old. As a data point, I've been with my n==1 wife for more than a decade plus children. She still has that innocence and twin…

If you're talking flings and/or pure sexual attraction, I don't know nor care how those guys perceive virgin women. But all else equal, virgins are highly attractive for relationships, and investing time and energy into. It is an instinct for men to attach value to high morals and purity. There are reasons for this, as well as plain common sense. My n=1 partner has been a phenomenal wife and mother. Mentally and emotionally stable without baggage. She still has that innocence and twinkle in her …
