She was knocked up 3 months after the divorce was finalized? Divorces don't finalize all that quickly. That was likely a year or more removed from their official separation. There's no grounds for assuming the guy is even the father AND he contested it right away. You say the man is liable for up to a year but then is order to 21 years of child support. You can go to their website and it'll break down exactly how the child support is calculated. It varies based on both parents income and the amount of time spent with each parent.
