The men that take their own lives because of this sort of thing don't affect the lives of those that ruined them at all. It doesn't come up during a performance review where they're graded on how families and individuals did after experiencing their 'justice'. It doesn't affect their pay, bonus, vacation, anything. While working in the Men Disassembly Line, nothing but reward is given to them for inflicting maximum unfair damage to men.

How dare you use the word 'man' in a non-derogatory or non-accusatory way?! If the phrasing is positive, then you have to use the word 'woman' (or 'people', I guess, but don't get used to it). You can only identify male representatives/groups negatively. I want to use an '/s' on this, but it seems too true to qualify.

I 'think' he means 'feel', cuz 'think'ing would involve the use of knowledge, and statistics show that men are always at greater danger of, well, everything dangerous. Dismissing the danger because 'the sodomites in prison' are men is gynocentric victim-olympics claptrap (pro tip: when dealing with an argument of this type, remind them who all those 'sodomites in prison' were raised by.)

It sounds like you're telling some old tale from the 70's. What weird kind of neighbourhood do you live in where 'none of (your) female friends can walk down a street at night and not get cat called or yelled at'? Or is this just happening outside of bars at closing time?

Where does your mom think you're going to find a 'lady'? It's a firing offence to even refer to someone as that in the workplace, but you should still covertly identify them and treat them special cuz why?

You keep saying that (harder time asking for help), but you're phrasing it ridiculously simplistically (kinda like a feminist). It's not that we have a harder time asking for help - it's that we know there's no help when we ask. I went to see my doctor about depression. I quote "Sometimes life just sucks.". Not an exaggeration. Not some random loony-tunes doctor that I ran across in my travels. He's been my GP for 30 years. There's no help to be provided TO men. Is being able to cry about it bet…

Can confirm. I believe my ex saw it as her last good chance to go on a vacation before she broke up with me. Like, it was so crafted that her attitude towards me was noticeably different on the way 'home' than the way there; she'd got what she wanted, so any attempt at congeniality she saw as a loss.

The don't WANT you to be a FATHER - that requires occasional compromise, and acceptance of someone else's beliefs entering into a child's mind. They want you to be a wallet that knows when to STFU (pro tip: it's 'always') and let them warp the kids minds into whatever's trendy, with you paying the fare.

I don't think it matters who birthed or adopted the kids; if he's there, acting parental, he's gonna be on the hook for support. I guess this all depends on the jurisdiction this is going down in, or where it's adjudicated, but where I live he'd definitely be on the hook for the adopted kids, and quite likely for the kids that aren't biologically his (depends on her mood and if she thinks to sue him for support). There is NO safe haven for him in this relationship.

If your relationship with this woman continues and the ex loses his job/life, you're likely to find out that you can be hit up for support for his biological children by acting as a parental figure, too (like, in addition to the support for the adopted kids, in case you thought you were going to 'protect yourself' in some way because of biological lineage or whatever)

I disagree with this statement entirely. Time in the house together will be all that is required to prove your responsibility, not paperwork or signatures. The only thing you can do now to ensure that won't happen is: don't live with her or her children.

Ad hominem (Latin for "to the person"),[1] short for argumentum ad hominem, typically refers to a fallacious argumentative strategy whereby genuine discussion of the topic at hand is avoided by instead attacking the character, motive, or other attribute of the person making the argument, or persons associated with the argument, rather than attacking the substance of the argument itself

Someone who is not of sound mind shouldn't be able to enter into a legally-binding contract. Someone who thinks their wife won't eventually pillage them for every cent and tear is obviously NOT of sound mind (and shouldn't be able to get married). It's only the ones who know they shouldn't get married that should be allowed to get married. XD

An inheritance is like the ONLY thing that a wife isn't entitled to half of. It's the sole thing that a man can say "not community property. this is mine." Everything else, from his favourite chair to his dog or toupee, she gets entitled to cuz of the ridiculous marriage 'contract'. If you think your wife is going to love you and treat you kindly and fairly for the rest of your life, do what you like with your money. The rest of us know better.

In many areas, common-law rules kick in after 3 months. Will be especially difficult to refute since they actually DID bang.

Why were you trying to avoid her? Were you trying to EXCLUDE her from your old boys' club? Making sure she doesn't get the mentoring she needs to keep from falling to jobs like plumbing or masonry? This is just another example of rape culture, everybody; him making more distance between her to signal that she was alone and ready for the taking from any of you rapists. /s

Document with dates/times/witnesses whatever you can. Report instances to authority figures when you can. If possible, ask someone who witnessed (preferably someone who's on your side or has your back) if they'll be a witness and accompany you to report the incident. (this does several things: it lets you know who in your group has your back. it may leak out that you're collecting evidence to nail her, which might be enough to get her to stop [OR to ramp things up and give you more evidence quic…
