1	This guy wasn't playing Not quite how exercise works. Runners high is a real thing. When you exercise, your brain releases serotonin and endorphins, and eventually causes a euphoric feeling. As long as you remain active, you'll never quite see specifically exercise as a punishment because of this. The punishment part is just making them have to work and possibly a bit sore. 3	This guy wasn't playing It's certainly not as harmless as you think. You're using food (a necessity to them) as a punishment. To a young, immature, and underdeveloped mind, this could cause all kinds unnecessary stress and anxiety to them; and could develop into bigger problems further down the road if this starts to make them genuinely fear if they'll get fed. It's the adult responsible for legal actions and general well being regarding another person. Whether that be due to their age, or incompetency to do it themselves. Just living with the mother, the actual Legal Guardian, does not grant legal permissions to another person. And that can be tricky title to obtain unless you're the person that birthed the child. Saying "The father can obtain a paternity test" is true, but entirely nonsensical. Some men can get a paternity test without mother's consent, but not the majority of men that would need to in the first place. It is not possible for a male, who is not the legal parent or guardian, to obtain a paternity test without the mothers consent. If you look at the comments, there are multiple others saying she should have gotten a lesser sentence, the death of her child is punishment enough, etc. And as you said, a man would receive the punishment as she received here of 20 years. So why is it that so many other people believe that this woman should have a lesser sentence?
