I also think it is because boys don't really try at school. I never tried at all, I still passed but the girls in my class throughout the years were just more organized, they studied and i just didn't neither did the other boys in my school. Damn that's a tough situation. But I am in agreement with you. But in general when I get into debates at uni I can't use religion as not everyone believes in God. So I usually refer to evolution and science. And their counters are usually bring up rare accurences and use it as a factoid.
