They didn't have social media back then, so the more extreme parts of their platforms were probably not so well known while they were getting popular. As for the double standard, there are tons of examples across this sub of people calling for free speech. Especially when other mras or mra affiliates are involved. I certainly don't agree with her, but I'm a firm believer that everybody should be given their right to speak. And beside that it takes away from our credibility if we have this double standard moving forward. The best thing to do for "dangerous" speakers is to let everybody hear how dumb their ideas are.
