Learn to social dance. Something like Lindy Hop, Salsa, or Argentine Tango. There are usually a lot more women then men wanting to dance. As mentioned previously, hitting the gym will help your social dancing immensely by teaching you good body mechanics and increasing core and grip strength.

Sounds like it could have been a shame tactic in order to knock you down some notches. Additionally, who knows what metric she is using by which to judge your confidence. That said, you do you. You will end up chasing yourself in circles trying to live your life by anothers standards. Standards that could change on a daily or hourly basis. You do you.

Malcolm Gladwell mentioned something like this in his book "Blink". He references speed dating and the qualities a girl looks for in a partner on a conscious level, when asked, don't match with who she may actually date.

If I write an inflammatory comment, or a blog, or article, and a man questions anything in it, all I need to do to shut the conversation down is call him a bully, or say he’s a privileged male. Maybe I am missing something but I don't see how making oneself the victim is supposed to be empowering. Feigning hypersensitivity "wins" the day?

We men just make bad decisions. We can't help it. We’re men. I can't think of enough bad things to say about this.

You may have to do some general research. Muscle cars, on the surface, aren't horribly difficult to figure out. ESPN sports center gives general wrap-ups of a variety of sporting events. Perhaps just enough information to start a conversation with. You are a nerd, as you claim, then continue to be one. Nerdism doesn't have to be limited to the internet/tech. Be a nerd! Acquire information! Get to know your target audience.

"My only option was to walk through hell or to live in hell." This sort of applies to everything, not just dating.

Oh, I go out. I partner dance so I am out at least a couple of times a week. Sometimes I stay in during the weekend just because I get tired with work, school, exercise and dance. What I meant is that I don't go out specifically to sarge.

I am just glad it isn't all my fault. Feels that way sometimes...

I liked this. I don't technically go sarging nor do I have any FR's of any relevance, but I enjoy the positive qualities of MaysoNSS's statements and they tend to agree with how I feel about interacting with people in general.

I agree. My fantasy of the situation is possibly far more disabling than being blown off. My problem has been that the fantasy is my safe zone. Without knowing the truth, whether a good truth or bad truth, I can create whatever I want and am not threatened one way or another. The obvious fallacy to this logic is that not only is this unreal, it never gets me anywhere, with anything, not just women.

Funny you mention this. I have decided, somewhat recently, to ditch the majority of the text game for many of the reasons you mention. My biggest reason for ditching said game is that it is too difficult to convey emotions accurately. I either sound wildly enthusiastic, or superbly uninspired, which can send mixed signals in any number of directions. Another reason is that it is way to easy to read into text messages. the wrong things get implied, while the real context of the conversation goes …

This how you learn though. You get bits and pieces of different subjects, hobbies, lifestyles, and stories from other people. With the experience you gain from the abundance of interactions with these other people you learn to adapt to the situation as it unfolds and are able to be receptive, cordial, attentive, assertive, and diplomatic to the people at hand.

Leykis 101... He doesn't bring his phone with him either last I heard from his show. I believe he claims he either leaves it in his car or turns it off.

Awesome post. More specifically, I especially enjoy the parallels that are being drawn to illustrate that his art of seduction spans beyond that of "scoring." it is more or less a lifestyle.

This article called me out on so many levels. Thank you for this. Some of these things I was more or less aware of but when I say it in my own head it sounds like a conspiracy theory. It is abundantly affirming to see other people see these too and put it into much better words than I have been. Mind = blown... Simply awesome.
