Having been on both sides of the spectrum (everyday to several weeks without) I have to agree with OP. Everyone I know that smokes weed normally is settling crazy. The people I know who quit are completely different now.

What's hard to understand? Most people drink and a lot of people drink socially.

Hey OP; I read this last night, enjoyed it and wanted to ask you a few questions. 1) I tried Xanax(I know it's not an opiate) for the first time last year and loved it. I tend to be in my head, but off a xan I couldn't believe how forward I was and the person that I was being. Example; a girl rejected me pretty harshly (laughed at me in front of her friends & a white knight laughed too) and I could honestly say I didn't care. Is the sheer not-give-a-fuckness what drew you to opiates or something…

Hey OP I wanna ask you something or anyone who sees this post. I started getting my shit together in like August of last year. So before I started to work on myself I had a friend group I was in from high school. I only really hung out with them cause I had no other circles; I didn't really like the put downs and underhanded comments and shit but whatever. Fast forward to now and I was in your exact same situation. However, instead of doing what you did I just dropped them all. Reason being beca…

"bro you're not the competition ur my friend" Been there man. Improving myself and having "friends" become totally hostile/jealous of me really opened my eyes. Had to completely sever contact with my old friend group after I heard one of them cockblocking his friend with almost a child-like glee in his voice.

Incredible post. I will correct you on one thing; Michael Jordan definitely wishes he had beaten the Pistons. That nigga is competitively petty.

What's up Mike. I read all your shit; D&P, podcasts, finished your book a couple weeks ago. Glad you're doing an AMA. One of your posts is about cutting off old friends and escaping from toxic people. I recently had the balls to finally quit my 7 year addiction to pot (yeah, i know) and as a result have lost a bunch of people I used to chill with at once. It's not a problem because I've slowly been realizing that they weren't the people I'd want to be hanging around anyway. So I've picked up rea…

I used to be a heavy pot smoker so that's the part I was laughing at specifically. The mental image of u scraping a bowl for 2-3 hits was hilarious

"She's standing in my fucking room and I stupidly tell her to go back to her car so we can smoke some resin I scraped" I know TRP embraces failures and shit to learn from them but I almost BUSTED out laughing right here. C'mon son.
