I wouldn’t necessarily say you flipped the power dynamic, I think it’s more that you’re not coming across as needy and showing that you have a life and your world doesn’t revolve around her. Which is attractive. Generally speaking, women like to be the “needy” ones in the m/f dynamic, they want to be the ones that ask for and receive your attention and affection - especially early in a relationship.
