At the end of the day I respect and appreciate your point even if I don’t fully agree. I’m not treating these men like monsters or actively berating them, it’s more of a personal assessment when I’m aware of the behavior. I hope they do get the help they need. So we probably agree more than we disagree I suppose.

They’re welcome to stop and I’ll change the assessment. I really disagree with this philosophy that just because behavior can be explained it’s improper to ever use a potentially insulting word to describe them or their behavior. Plenty of serial killers and pedophiles have very well documented and studied cases of a compulsion they’re unable to contain. Many of them feel horrendously about their actions. Obviously men who punch walls aren’t serial killers or pedophiles but the logic transfers, …

Look, my best friend used to have rage issues. He was also a teenager who worked through it and learned to cope. You can be pathetic and need help. Most people who have serious personality defects can be helped if they want to be helped or help themselves. I’m not saying they’re irredeemable monster people. I’m saying the behavior is pathetic and if we are what we do repeatedly, they’re behaving in a pathetic manner. Which being pathetic is short for.

You can be angry without destruction or abuse. If it’s not childish it’s a mental illness or brain tumor or something because a respectable adult doesn’t rage and smash things. Met plenty of men like that. They’re pathetic

I only disagree because things aren’t equal. If a person starts hitting you I think you’re morally correct to blast them in the face immediately and try and get away or keep fighting if you have to. Realistically... if it’s a woman you’re probably best off enduring what you can and running. Legally and other people attacking you wise.

Bathing is literally a health benefit for society and yourself, it stops disease from spreading. Jesus.

Was clearly referring more to your second instance of women with the actually negative comment following it. I’m concerned that isn’t obvious to you.

Exactly. Just hate seeing horrific statements following the phrase “women” on this sub upvoted so much, it’s easily one of the biggest reasons people make fun of any men’s rights conversation. Puts them hardcore on the defensive to the point they’re making fun of it. Just like any sort of all men are potential rapists phrases.

Using the phrase “women” without any qualifier in connection to such a horrific accusation is probably one of the worst possible things for any sort of men’s rights argument.

What're you talking about? Who the fuck upvoted you? Lol.

You described all of society. Didn't downvote you, but you certainly were sitting on the line of saying "all women" when you describe society like that.

Oh, cool, this again. Dead on ammo for people to dismiss everyone who bring up mens rights as sexists. They use the term survivor because for many it's a deeply traumatic event, and for many who go through it they feel the entire time that if they struggle hard the person raping them will murder them. Which adds to the trauma and the feeling of "surviving" the trauma and assault. Your sentiment isn't helpful.

Starting a conversation about an issue with a cultural mentality, talking about how widespread it is, “now wait a minute let’s talk about this specific real issue and not the cultural mentality.” Love the cycle.

If you're the only one bitching and moaning in a company with many other folks doing the same thing, maybe get a little bitter grip on things is all. Yeah work sucks. I'm not bitching about it unless I'm laughing about a shitty situation for a second. And I'm not even holding folks to my standard or my boss's standard. Just anyone elses standard that's also standing there.

Prenups are nice but don't hold up as solidly as reddit loves to jerk themselves off about.

Honestly the last line is the shit part. Anyone who isn’t 100% on MRA side of things with their biases isn’t going to read that the right way. And it’s not even that they’re reading it wrong, it’s written horribly. Objectively it’s terrible.
