Anything that makes you dance.

Do something. Sitting and talking isn't fun. At least, not at first. Break the tension and nerves with activities. Go to pong night and be a team. Ice skating. Bike rides. Bowling. Mini golf. These things are practically designed for dates. You associate that fun with each other, and subsequent talks will have less pressure because now you're comfortable with each other. Even just walking around helps. You don't feel "trapped."

People tend to listen to their friends. The quicker you win over their whole group, the better. Easiest way to do that is to approach the one you like while she's with all of her friends. As soon as you walk away they might laugg oe giggle amongst themselves bur it's not at you. It's excitement.

If its about stds then no. That's called being responsible.

Till your garden. Butterflies will come. Schools not forever, but you're improving yourself there which in of itself is attractive. It's evidence of ambition, which I'd put at the second most attractive trait after confidence (for both sexes). I always count self improvement as success.

Well i think your sense is wrong. That sounds like you're attributing to yourself. You need to get in the mindset that you're not under as much scrutiny as you believe you are (passively) and that it doesn't matter what they think.

Are they directly saying you're unattractive or is that just how you label yourself? I have yet to meet someone rude enough to outright say "fuck off, you're ugly." Do you groom yourself? Do you shave? Have a decent haircut? Brush your teeth/clean fingernails? Do you slouch when you stand? There's a lot to do to build attractiveness.

It really doesn't matter what you say, just so long as you actually talk to them. Be direct. "Hi. I think you're cute and wantes to introduce myself. Im so and so." Smile. Have good positive body language.

Do an activity. Coffee is fine to start, but get up and move. It can be as simple as a little walk around town. Ice skate, bike ride. I find activities break any awkwardness because what you're doing is already inherently fun.

Cats work too. If you have a cool one.

The most important thing I've learned - and this is solid lifestyle advice too - is that you're under far less scrutiny than you think. People are pretty preoccupied with their own business to really care too much about people in passing. The sooner you realize this, the sooner you can start being yourself and comfortable in social settings.

Don't be rigid with your dates. If you and her have fun, then the rest is cake. Don't be analytical and calculated. Go with the flow and be spontaneous. Its called romance, and chicks dig it. Do something you both enjoy. None of this drinks or dinner busniess. Thats for after you go for a bike ride or ice skate or a round of mini golf or what have you.

Word. Be straightforward. It makes things easier for everyone. If you're not into it, there's no sense stringing someone along for the sake of being 'polite.'

Most people here just want to overcome the hurdle of talking to a woman. They see them as an alien species to be dissected and analyzed when they're just people too. Personally it's been easier now that one of my roommates is a woman (and probably my favorite person in the house) and that all of my interactions with her are the same as my interactions with my other (male) roommates. Like. I have no problem hanging around the house in my underwear and watching cartoons with her, which has somehow…

Not to sound callous, bit asking an individual woman for dating advice is like asking a fish how to catch fish (when you should be asking a fiaherman) Not that I reject advice, but I recognize that the lady giving advice might not be the type of lady I'm hoping to attract. Everybody wants something different and no advice is universal. It's why we all stress that getting used to failure is the first step to success (which is really the only good universal advice).

In leading or taking care of women, to me it's "Let's go ice skating" or something. Not 'asking' what she wants to do, but rather throwing out an activity that I find fun and want to introduce to her. To me, a partner is a friend that you also smootch and have sex with exclusively.

People here talk about negging like they should be backhanded comments. I disagree. Negging to me is playful banter - playing devil's advocate for a not-so-controversial conversation. Like how Willy Wonka kind of absentmindedly fucks with people. (That's absurd! That tube doesn't lead to the marshmallow room, it goes to the fudge room! ) Women approaching is fine. Just do more than "hey." Because I usually need to say more than "hey."

Purple Monkey Dishwasher and I think Stacy's Mom were both pretty incredible (Evil Genious). Played it safe with some 60 minute (Dogfish Head), and something from a local micro (Funk)

Only if they are actually boring. Some people know how to make a story or smalltalk with clarity and detail, making an interesting conversation. Others don't.

Went to karaoke night at one of my regular haunts. A girl begged me to sing with her after I sang. I sang with her (her boyfriend wasn't too friendly with me) and sang another by mysef. Two girls came up after and said they liked my taste in music. Chatted them up. Got numbers. After leaving another woman stuck her head out the window and said I sounded great. Overall a nice evening of leveling up. Went to the bar where my work buddies and I go every night. I guess I didn't get the memo, but non…

Practice humility and perspective. A little bit of altruistic thought goes a long way. Yes, pride is good. You should be proud of who you are, what you do, of your skills, etc. But the weakness is when you believe yourself to be above people. "Being the prize" doesn't mean "you need to work to win my affection or approval." Being the prize means you are confident that people want to be in your company. Not just 'hot girls,' but men and women of all levels of attractiveness. Just don't be a pompo…

I agree. I've purposefully have avoided romantic involvement with a few girls because they were too cool to jeopardize the friendships.

I noticed you were A) going out JUST to meet girls B) very nervous Don't "go out to meet girls." That puts pressure on yourself and doesn't help those nerves. Go out for a beer or two. Go somewhere popular (I go to a bar in a college town). Sit somewhere with a lot of traffic (I sit directly in front of the taps). Go there once a week or so. People will notice you. Go on pong night. Or karaoke night. Befriend the bartenders, other people see it and it gives you a bit of status. If the staff both…

I agree. "Yes" is a fickle word. If a girl asks me to sing karaoke with her, it's pretty much "yes." If it's to drive her and her boyfriend to the airport... no. It's okay to say yes to fun things slightly out of your comfort zone. But if a girl says "do this heroin with me and we'll fuck" the answer is "no." But I would go to dance classes. Shits fun.

It's just a little performance anxiety. It happens to everyone, myself included. Once you get more comfortable with what you're doing (and comfortable with your partner), it'll go away. So don't worry about it and try to enjoy yourself. Way to go!

OPEN YOUR MOUTH! I've told this to dozens of people. The results are immediate. I mean REALLY open your mouth exaggerate the vowels and consonants. Practice. Know your range. I don't go up there and sing Queen. I'm no Tenor. I'm a bass/baritone. If you have a keyboard (or anything electronic that has perfect pitch like a guitar tuner) find out how high and low you can (comfortably) sing. It's okay to push your limits a bit But ultimately you're a victim of genetics here. Learn songs you're comfo…

First off, don't expect or put pressure on yourself to have sex That being said. Sit close. Doesn't matter what kind of movie it is. Just get comfortable. If she's cuddling up on you right away, great. If not, initiate a bit of it. Whisper something like 'come here' or just put your arm around her shoulder or tuck it behind the small of her back. She likes you, so you're in good shape to begin with. Just initiate things slowly. After she's in close with you, give her a little peck of a kiss on t…

On top of that, the only thing that separates a friend from a romantic partner is sex. That's pretty much it. You both trust each other, spend time together, all that crap that couples do and regardless if you eventually get with her or not, that's still something valuable.

Hone your piano skills and learn to overcome stage fright. The reason you're afraid to do it in public is because you're not confident in your playing skills. But it's not about how good you are: its about how fun you are. I frequently play guitar at an open mic at a hookah lounge near my place. It's also located near a pretty big college, so during the semester the place is jumping. Now I know that I'm not the best guitarist there, but I don't care. For a few minutes, all eyes are on me and I d…
