Look for pubs that have the 'atmosphere' of a club, but with the volume down (so you can talk easily), and you might find people of your age more often in places like that. Or just a regular pub. Go somewhere familiar (knowing the bartenders might help you get at ease). I have really bad AA which I'm working on (I'm 21 and in my country you can legally drink at 16) but somehow I've never felt weird to go out alone.
