Can't view youtube atm but this description sounds like Jocko Willink. I watched his 3-4 hour podcast on Joe Rogan's show and it was fucking incredible, learned so much.

Your older self will thank you for the dedication you're putting in now.

I couldn't agree more. Learning to play the political "game" is so important. It's amazing how far you can go if you show up on time, don't call in (too often), and are well-liked by your superiors.

Sounds like you have a pretty solid foundation at age 15/16. You should be proud of yourself and work in continuing to improve. You're already miles ahead of most of your competition though.

Back in high school when I transitioned from football to wrestling I laughed at the three 2 minute rounds. I was not laughing after those first 2 minutes. You need serious cardio to last. It's hard to imagine the MMA title fights that go the full five 5 minute rounds.

Best thing I ever learned in sales was once you ask someone to buy you shut the hell up and let them talk first.

Work in the mortgage servicing industry myself and started out in collections. It's amazing how people tend to run out of excuses once you tell them their foreclosure sale date.

Hi, do you have a moment to discuss our lord and savior Jesus Christ?

Couldn't agree more on your point about seating arrangements. Was recently at this girl's place where she had one of those couches with individual seats and a console dividing it. Made it very difficult to get close for escalation.

Haven't laughed out loud like that in a long time. Thank you.

I second this. If your game is halfway decent then you should be able to sell. You will also always have value to a company if you can sell.

Gambling addict checking in. I've been good lately but I always end up fooling myself I can control it when I walk into the casino. Me wanting to just play for a couple hours equates to the alcoholic who just wants to have a few drinks and leave. Our brains just don't work like that, I have to stay until I lose it all.

My last job was retail sales and we sold everything from appliances, to TVs, to furniture. Commission sales is a tough environment but I learned some valuable things during my time there but the most important thing. Ask for the sale. Seriously, this is the biggest thing that people screw up. I would watch a co-worker wine n dine someone for 30 minutes and let them walk out the door without asking them to buy. You're there to make money, customers walk in the store because they are interested in…

I agree with you. Happiness is whatever you want it to be. As long as you aren't causing harm to others to bring yourself that happiness, then by all means, you do you.

100% agree. Really one of the few things we can do to compensate for being under-dressed is a sport-coat or blazer. I remember hearing Tim Gunn say one time on his tv show to always have a sport coat in your office. Works wonders when you have impromptu meetings with higher ups in your company.

I'm 30 and I've been wearing Cool Water ever since I was a teenager, for whatever reason my body chemistry just mixes really well with it. I think it might be time for me to try some new scents though and get out of the 90's.

Keep going brother. I took a very small step yesterday in buying a Nalgene, cutting out soft drinks and going with mainly water. Will mix in some unsweet tea or black coffee but trying to stick to just water. Next comes overhauling my diet and getting off my ass.

I think their point was more in long-term investment strategies that involve putting all if not most of your eggs in the precious metal basket.
