i’m fine with gender roles and i’ve found my relationships work better when adhered to them than when “equalized” even if we both work, i do outside chores and inside repairs/maintenance, she keeps things pleasant inside.

why do people like to act like patterns are not real? men talk amounts ourselves. often we’ve had similar experiences. we can compare what we did and the results. from that we can determine what has worked multiple times for multiple men with multiple women. then we can adjust from what has never worked.

never ever beg. initiate. if she’s never or rarely into it then it’s time for a big, honest conversation. and it’s up to you to initiate that, too.

this is all true but i’d say in north america many women have a poor understanding of where they stand in the market. also women stopped passing down the skills of how to keep a man women may initiate more divorces but, in my experience and from what i’ve seen from others, men kinda check out because we aren’t getting anything from marriage.

makes sense but someone with self awareness and relationship skills would observe that feeling within themself, experience it, allow the charge to dissipate and have a calm conversation with their partner about it. maybe it really bothers you. you’re allowed to have your preferences. it’s how you deal with those feelings that matters.

I’m electrician. Among working class men, I’d say making enough to let wife stay home is the ultimate goal. I see them work themselves to the bone to accomplish this. None say they really want wife to work. I don’t know who told op that but it’s pretty insane.

If a man can travel across the world and spend enough time there to build a relationship he has plenty of resources.
