The next non-FloJo-time is 10.64 from Carmelita Jeter and then comes Marion Jones, who was also doped (I'm not saying Jeter was, but do the math). Shelly Ann Fraser-Pryce who's competing today has managed 10.70. It's hard to see how women will ever get a new WR with FloJo's times still on the books.

Thanks for being open minded. Most Swedes rage when presented with this fact. The problem is that there's no real incentive to take "problematic" political views with you into that booth if you don't really a. want to vote for them or b. care about true secret voting. There are all sorts of social problems in this - and while it may "only" affect Sverigedemokraterna now, it may affect your own political view some day.

One can appreciate the irony, though: feminists are the loudest supporters of un-restricted immigration from the Middle East. These are people who (culturally, not saying every one person) treat their women like inferior citizens. I, personally, think it's the "love the bad boy"-syndrome at work. As a gay man, I understand them - Middle Eastern culture does favor the macho man, whereas Nordic societies have to some extent emasculated the men.

I'm from a country that has recently seen a high influx of Muslim immigrants. In Muslim culture, women can (apparently) not do sports with men present. The municipality solves this by spending tax dollars to close down swimming arenas for hours at a time to have women-only swimming. It's horrible public management and terribly enabling for the gender separation preached by backwards imams.

What if you get drunk and kill someone in a car crash? Then you've killed someone and will be punished for it. Also, the alcohol didn't kill that someone. You and the car did. It's a horrible argument for a drug ban as we already have legalized driving and legalized alcohol. What if someone is forced to inhale your excess smoke? I take it you are referring to drug laws. It's entirely insane that drugs are criminal. Abuse is a medical issue. And recreationally getting high should be my (goddamned) right - as should eating myself to death, drinking myself to death etc. etc. I don't personally care for drugs and especially not marijuana. But that doesn't mean I want to prevent you from getting high as a kite if it so pleases you.

Because sociology is the social science that basically discredits the other social sciences. It attracts a special type of people who - although there are many epistemological paths to follow - end up talking about gender as a social construct (etc.).
