I had this problem for a long time but if you’re not very self confident, confident behaviour almost always looks like arrogant/asshole behaviour (Negging is a perfect example of this). Most women don’t want a man who will just agree with everything she says and follow her every whim. They are people who use fake compassion and understanding solely for goal of fucking a woman. “Nice guys” are those who will parrot every interest and opinion a woman has, ask her out/try to sleep with her, she rejects him, and then he goes on to call her (example expletives). it’s not just women who don’t like “nice guys”, nobody likes them. I agree that some major sections like terfs and like basic white feminists are out of touch but there are a lot of situations in which feminism has a purpose today.
