I feel like most people in this thread are missing that this is a completely accurate example of privilege in western (at least American) culture. Dresses aren't very high stakes, but it's proof that sexism originates from and is perpetuated by women just as much as it is from men.

Calling out anti-woman sentiment where it's present is not the same thing as equating men's rights with sexism.

You can't be cheated on by a woman you aren't even with. I'm very confused.

Could you please quote the portion I seem to have missed?

People are so butthurt they can't digest the fact that this article doesn't mention child support.

But the question is: What is the point? The company clearly doesn't support what he said. What are they trying to accomplish?

I think it has to do with the negative view of the men's rights movement. People say it's just a bunch of bitter dudes who hate women, all bitching about women. When a bitter dude who hates women hears about that, he thinks he's found his people. That happens enough times, and here we are. The mods are to blame for not removing this kind of thing.

Without context we can't tell if this is PPD or not This is why it should be removed. If you want to have a sub with a certain topic, you must enforce that topic. If you don't want it to have a certain topic, that's your own business, but saddle up for more reports and complaints until the original userbase has completed its exodus.

Do you suppose the OPs of threads like this are actually trying for that effect?

That's not going to happen, but I'm glad we have people like you to try.

You're not always wrong, but I don't like reducing prostitutes to victims like that. They can be just as empowered as anyone else, or even be the ones instigating exploitation of men.

You're describing a means of obtaining money like it's proof that women don't need money.

I know it's just another anecdote, but my experience matches yours. Some men are into social work, and some women are into engineering, but there's a trend for the opposite. Fighting bigotry doesn't mean making everyone have the same interests; it means accepting everyone for who they are, without forcing stereotypes on them.

Can I please go live in your world where I don't have to care about paying rent or buying food?
/r/PussyPassDenied04/07/17 07:34 PM

"Women" aren't whining about anything. We aren't a hivemind, thanks. Plenty of men spout the wage gap bullshit.

I feel like kids these days have cast aside the golden rule of the internet: Do not feed the trolls.

You're forgetting that western countries employ Asian women to work the fields, usually as seasonal hires for harvesting. There's not a lot of work open to you when you have poor language skills, and are too weak/old for construction, but you can always pick a berry. Though I want to point out that it doesn't matter whether more men or more women work in the agricultural industry. All sexes and all labor should be respected because society can't exist without them.

It's not shitting on women. It's shitting on this woman, who was being a shitty person.

I really love bookish guys. They always have a lot of interesting stuff to add to any conversation. Bonus points if they have glasses, because glasses are hot!! vs I want an intellectual man, not some gross caveman who only thinks about sports. One of these things is expressing a preference, and the other is being a hateful asshole.

I was doing really well until I got down to the organized religions. Ended up about 2.3% though. Do I win something?

The point is that this post isn't misogynistic, and saying it is is crying wolf.

I can't be sure about the others, but PETA was crazy right out of the gate. They used to steal people's pets and murder them to "save" them from captivity. Edit: I was googling it to make sure I wasn't misremembering something, and they're STILL stealing and murdering pets!

The removal of the foreskin is a sacrificial practice, meant to show devotion to Yahweh. The idea behind doing it to a baby is that said baby would receive the same divine favor the father has, but that doesn't translate well to modern practice, where Yahweh never does or says anything. He used to have conversations with you, sabotage your enemies, etc. The Bible also specifically states that the covenant is not for gentiles, and circumcision is an empty gesture for anyone not of Abraham's loins…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
