Who won?He didn't, if you watch the video there's no point where he intentionally touches her. The girl was jumping around, I don't think it was intentional | /r/PussyPassDenied | 24/11/20 01:33 PM
Next time try supporting your own?If you read my other comments in the thread, I acknowledged that my points are just anecdotal and that there isn’t any way to prove anything that I said simply because employers aren’t always transparent. That being said, I don’t think I’ve ever seen men get praised as geniuses for having ‘tantrums.’ In environments that I have worked in, men that act up get fired immediately because they’re not fit for the job. Women are, like you said, considered to be more emotional, and in my experience mana… | /r/PussyPassDenied | 13/02/20 10:34 AM
Next time try supporting your own?Oh no, I don’t mean that male-focused movies are bad. I’m just talking about how movies that aren’t male-focused don’t receive any attention. It is, of course, the free market, and I don’t think that some sexist entity decides what movies are popular or not. I’m not saying that that’s explicitly bad. I just think it would be cool to see female-oriented movies in pop culture as well. In other words, I meant the “male-only” focus of movie production as a whole. I didn’t mean to imply that male-ori… | /r/PussyPassDenied | 13/02/20 04:39 AM
Next time try supporting your own?I’m simply guessing about the whole thing and I’m not trying to debate or anything, but I would say because the movies that cater to teenage boys are the highest grossing. Look at Marvel’s movies like endgame and star wars- it makes sense that boys would be more interested in the industry. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 13/02/20 01:33 AM
Next time try supporting your own?I would say that neither of you are completely right. Sure, some women aren’t good directors and some are mistreated until they give up, but right now the most famous/influential directors are people who have been making movies for a long time. Younger candidates who are being given equal opportunities simply haven’t gotten enough experience and exposure to be popular yet. There are lots of female directors that are making new movies. 2019 was the best year for female directors yet, and I’m sure… | /r/PussyPassDenied | 12/02/20 10:02 PM
Next time try supporting your own?Yeah! I don’t think this will be a big issue in 30 years. Society is simply changing, and pop culture is going to lag behind until younger celebrities that were given equal opportunities replace the older celebrities that weren’t. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 12/02/20 09:59 PM
Next time try supporting your own?Yeah. That could be an issue, but sadly it’s hard to see data on stuff like that because producers will always claim that “they picked the more qualified candidate.” Which, to be fair, might be true. The male director might be more popular and better qualified. Hopefully that bias will simply fade over time as women directors slowly make names for themselves. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 12/02/20 09:58 PM
| -1 | Next time try supporting your own? That’s true. Hopefully in the future more women will be interested in movie development as the male-only focus of movies fades out! | /r/PussyPassDenied | 12/02/20 09:54 PM |
Next time try supporting your own?I’d say that a more likely answer is that less women want to be directors. I know several boys that, after watching a movie filled with nonstop explosions and action, want to be a part of that. Lots of boys see these movies and want to be a part of it, and those high-grossing action-filled movies simply don’t appeal to women as much. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 12/02/20 09:11 PM
Woman starts a fight with a man, doesn't end well. The point is the fight started way before the guy did anything. It’s not that the teacher stopped the fight, it’s when he stopped it. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 25/01/18 03:50 PM
Woman starts a fight with a man, doesn't end well. The guy isn’t allowed to defend himself? I don’t see anything that the guy did wrong. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 25/01/18 03:47 PM
