100% this! I will not hit on someone while they are doing their job unless they explicitly tell me they are interested in me. I have a lot of friends that are waitresses and the first thing they tell me is that they flirt with customers to get a bigger tip. I guess it works!

I have a terrible fear of rejection. I do extremely well with girls I'm introduced to, but I can't approach one for the life of me. I've started reading The Game, a book recommended to me countless times by members here, and it's great so far, but in the field I don't know what to say after hi. It takes a while for a conversation to roll for me. All I need are a couple of solid lines and I think I'll be OK.

16 here. Facing the same problem as you were in your article. This girl is a senior and I'm a junior and I never really talk to her. But, we both hang out with all the same people. I'm not awkward, been single for a year ang get my kicks out of parties/raves and whatever. But that article really hit me. Like, really, what do I have to lose?
