Well no shit. I actually did not. I didn't think it had come out, and newegg/amazon showed 990 results in google. Plus the first result completely threw me off. It's odd they haven't done it yet, the GTX x90 dual is typical.

With more and more games actually taking advantage of multiple cores, plus you are talking about dual 990s... The extra cores do finally have an advantage. A mid grade i7 is worse than i5, and speed is still king. The 4 cores running at a higher clock would be better than 4c/8t at a lower clock. HT isn't all that great in gaming yet (despite games taking advantage of additional cores, HT adds latency into the mix waiting on thread switching and availability.)

Going to need some high end intel love to push that much GPU as well. Better get one the fancy hexcores...

The blocksize debate has the potential to fork the blockchain, which... would be painful, but no death knell. This needed to be done sooner rather than later, before BTC took off. The biggest issue that Bitcoin faces, in my opinion, is the lack of true anonymity. Governments could just regulate the blockchain and require people to register their BTC addresses (or you'll get a beating), making BTC that come from "registered" BTC addresses more valuable than the "grey" BTC that come from unregiste…

but it's actually worked pretty well for the past four years. I never stated it didn't work. I would also agree it works well. I said it has been in turmoil. There is either this minor fiasco, or that one. I see the current block chain issue no different than the Mtgox debacle. Bitcoin will continue on and work like it should.

Can buy practical goods with it. For example overstock.com accepts it. The process is quick to do the payment. More and more places are starting to accept it, and there's a debit card that you dump BTC into, and can use anywhere USD is accepted. The card simply converts btc into usd at the current market rate the moment you run the transaction.

You are missing facts. It's impossible to steal coins from your wallet. The computational power required to bruteforce your wallets key simply won't exist for a long time. We are talking (with current computers) the lifespan of the universe to crack it. Second, keeping your money in an exchange IS NOT the same as a virtual wallet. It's moving your money into someone else's wallet. At this point, it's very easy for XYZ to simple hold it for themselves.

Don't keep your money in a place the government knows about. Keep it stashed away BEFORE shit hits the fans.

Then again, it's been in turmoil for the last 4 years...

I just can't fathom why people kept that much money in any exchange, UNLESS you were actively trading it. At that point, if you were actively trading 16k, you should have a huge surplus in a cold wallet.

It's not lazy. It's smart. Holding your money in exchanges is fucking stupid.

It is impossible for anyone to get so busy they can't even read a text message. Shit... I've not read my phone for DAYS at a time. I'm even in IT. Out of the state, with no easy way to make it back before Monday? I'll sort those messages out when I get back. It's not about being too busy. It's about not needing to read them.

What /u/TempestTcup says would be my gut reaction as well. Why bother making anything he doesn't like? If he wants variety, he'll ask. If he's happy with his same half a dozen dishes, problem solved.

tens/hundreds of dollars every time you wanted to play a videogame So... Arcades? I can't remember how many thousands of dollars my friends stuck into the tekken, soul caliber, capcom, darkstalkers, etc.. whatever the popular fighting game was of the minute. Edit: I don't know my fighting games. A bit of a tangent...

It's not just the government. My vehicle insurance goes down, my ability to get a house loan goes up, etc, etc.

You don't need DPS if a Tank and a Healer outlast everything. You simply take long to beat the opponent.

I've seen women riders blow these girls away. YES, it is hard, but there are better riders.
