It’s tough being south asian and vetting divorced. Im India Punjabi/Sikh to be specific I’m The first person in my family to get divorced. Take it slow, use this situation to find out what you need to do to better yourself learn how to be alone was something I really needed to do. Hit the gym grow your muscle if it’s meant to be someone will come into your life dont go out looking rn cause either you will get hurt more or you’ll hurt others.

Shes 29 and im 31 years old. Most if not all of the issues we have are caused by family drama on either side. When you to the core of it we dont have that many actual issues of our own

It just sucks im indian so when we get married its not just us getting married its families getting married and divorce rates are so low that its almost taboo. I dont think my parents or hers understand they look at it in the old Indian born mindset whereas me and her have a more americanized view. I mean we kinda talked to maybe well try to see someone like counselor because we did identify all the stuff that was kicking shit up between us and it was all external third person drama and bullshit…

Man im going through something similar just started talking about divorce i got my wife same 10 k engagement ring with a 4k band and a emerald and diamond bracelet (im indian so there is alot of jewelry giving in weddings not dowry im talking gifts we dont do dowry in my family tradition) i was making $600 biweekly when i started saving for the ring. It stings but she said she doesn’t want anything from me financially. All my shit is in my moms name always has been that way
