Just tell the dude that he should leave in your own assertive style.

You did the right thing, bro. Fucked up? Don't let anyone mess with your mind like that.

8 in 9 months? Brother, your numbers are way too low. (Respectfully) approach more.

Hey, man. I feel you. I'm 38 years old and I've been in similar situations in my past and actively gird myself to avoid them in the future. How? I personally feel that a solid philosophical framework is the foundation of flourishing and happiness. I have found great comfort in hearing and applying the teachings of the late Stoic philosophers, Epictetus, Marcu Aurelius, and Seneca. Basically, the only thing that you can control in this life is how you respond to things and, while that's an easy e…

I would have just tried to make plans to see her again without the "sincere" stuff. Not saying it's bad, but it seems wise to me to let things grow organically.

Looks like OP didn't catch the video's differentiation between confidence and charisma. ;-)

I'm going to call this an opportunity and not a disadvantage.

Hands down, the best RSD instructor, in my opinion.

Wikipedia defines misogyny as the "dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against women." By that very definition, AWALT and theredpill, who supports this idea, are misogynistic. You say AWALT is not misogynistic, but it's very structure is prejudging women (i.e. prejudice). You cannot change that fact by saying it's just a rule to help you navigate relationships, as if that reasoning absolves it's prejudice nature. Stating that there are exceptions to the rule just digs your further i…

I used to go there A LOT, so I know all about the content there. I say it's poison, but it is more apt to say it's poison to me. With that, however, I would NEVER recommend that place to any young man looking for advice, especially on women. It is deeply misogynistic and it took me a long to realize that morbid fact, as it came dressed in the cloak of pragmatism. You can get the good bits of wisdom they do possess from any of the late Stoics (Epictetus, Aurelius, Seneca) and not get infected by …

Definite thumbs up for the, "So you're telling me that you want to go to the movies with me and that you want me to pay for it." :-)

Too much. Just a simple, "Would you like to grab a drink, sometime?" and a number exchange will suffice 95% of the time. Just my 2 cents.

I don't know. This WORKS, but it's gimmicky and I feel a lot of people will try to copy this verbatim instead of acting on the spirit of your post, which I feel is BE THE PERSON YOU WANT TO BE AND DON'T BE ASHAMED OF THAT. FIGURE OUT LIFE FOR YOURSELF. I am attracted to both men and women (as friends and partners) who are comfortable being themselves. Have you ever met a shy person who was confident in their shyness? They exist and it's pretty cool. The key is (again, don't emulate, but figure i…

You're actually being "fake" by not expressing your true intentions to them. Be comfortable being a sexual being who wants to sleep with women and stop being ashamed of that. Combine that with the fact that you sound like a kind person and you'll slay (more than you did before).

Your wife should know to tell the guy what's up. If she doesn't, be cool about it and tell the guy that she's your wife (and have a nice long talk with her about that). Most advice people are giving are assuming you are walking up to some guy already hitting in your wife. If you are right there, both of you have to put a line down that she is with you and if the guy is not an asshole, he'll get the hint right there.
