Yeah, but who's making fun of you, chief?

I would love to hear this IRL.

Interesting that even they know they have to conceal it.

I don't have an issue with the jargon, I get that every group has terms they use (even though I see more of it here and among incels, pick up artists, etc.), my question is if this jargon has become so prevalent that it is now part of conversations with people that are not specifically participants in these communities.

I get it. But I'm wondering if it bleeds over info regular social interactions. I occasionally hear the terms used by comedians and once a girl asked me about "negging" but I am curious about others' experiences in the "wild" so to speak.

I get that, I'm not debating the concepts, I'm just curious how prevalent the terms are outside this space.

Yes. That's exactly what I mean. I'm curious if it comes out in ordinary conversations that you have with guys IRL?

This is very, very stupid. Collective action by all men against women because this worm feels like he may at some point be rejected or worse "humilliated"? How is this even being taken seriously by anyone over the age of 16 who has any life experience at all? Taking kids like this seriously just leads to more of this nonsense. FFS, the premise of this is so silly that one does not even need to get to how unrealistic this proposal is to see that it is complete and utter gobshitary. Oh the upside,…

Isn't worrying about how some other random asswipe views your own personal relationship choices, and letting yourself be governed accordingly, the very definition of weakness?

This is right. A social interaction (especially an initial social interaction) is not the appropriate place to apply theories about double standards. If OP thinks women are boring and have no hobbies, this is going to become apparent almost immediately. It's not charming, and negativity (or even a smirk) can be off putting doing the few seconds you have to convince someone to continue conversing with you. It really works to actually be interested in someone as a person, and if you can get them t…

I don't know if they are sensing misogyny as such, it's probably more likely that the man in this situation is giving off a negative vibe, coming across as tense, or not at all comfortable in their own skin. Also, just imagine the look on someone's face when they are talking to someone they think is boring or doesn't have any hobbies, it's going to be obnoxious at worst and off-putting at best. And of course women are more cautious, I don't remember who said this, but I think most women inherent…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/23 04:27 AM

I'm having a hard time buying any of it, to tell you the truth. I just wanted to make sure I'm not the crazy one and that a break up is warranted here. Thanks for the feedback, you guys have helped a lot. I'm still mad at her, so I'm just going to send her a text tomorrow saying good morning it's over, and then I'm going to block her.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 06:43 AM

Yep. Hammer comes down by text tomorrow. Thanks for the feedback, much appreciated.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 06:38 AM

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 poor Miami. You're not wrong, though. The consensus is that she's not telling the truth or at least not all of the truth and I just don't have the time or the inclination to be with someone that makes me feel like I have to police her online activity or phone or whatever. I've never done that before and I don't intend to start now. I just wanted to make sure I'm not overreacting or being unfair. Her scene asking for another chance was pretty convincing. I appreciate the time you took to r…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 06:37 AM

You're probably right. Some of the things that are said on here are dangerously seductive, especially in the heat of the moment. I will not let this one bad experience make me bitter or hate women. As for the profile, it was active and the pics were recent (especially painful was seeing a pic I took of her last week, ugh). You are the first person that says it's not a big deal. It may not be, but it is certainly a major red flag. Worse is the nonsensical story that a friend made it. I really wou…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 06:29 AM

Well it's not really to do her a favor. I would actually prefer not to say anything and just block her. But if I don't tell her and just block her, she would use that as an excuse to pretend to be worried and have a bunch of people call me to make sure I'm alive and find out why my GF hasn't heard from me. Annoyance I do not need. Thanks again for the ups. Means a lot.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 06:18 AM

I'm dumping her. I just wanted to get some feedback to make sure I wasn't being unfair to her or overreacting, never had anything like this happen before, so I figured some due diligence was in order. On another note, your friends suck, man. I was embarrassed that my buddy saw it, but grateful that he told me. No friend of mine would go behind my back like that or go and tell other people my business. Fuck.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 06:13 AM

I just wanted to do some due diligence to make sure I'm not overreacting if I end it. I know it's not exactly on topic but I have gotten fantastic advice on this forum and I am grateful that people took the time to read and comment. I hate that this happened but this community is pretty cool and I intend to return the kindness I've been shown
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 06:05 AM

Good points, thanks for taking the time, man. I was leaning in the direction of ending it, but I have never had anything like this happen before, and her scene asking for another chance, begging, etc, was sort of believable. She was actually on her knees and grabbed me around the ankles at one point. I'm not made of stone so obviously this made me think. Also, I'm not perfect either. Anyway I posted here to get some nonbiased advice because I don't want to be unfair to her or overreact. The reas…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 06:01 AM

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣, I could probably do this, I asked her 'what would you do' meaning like what would she do if the roles were reversed, but she misunderstood and said 'anything you want.' Unfortunately I don't have the acting chops to pull this off. I am way too gut-punched from seeing those screen caps (not to mention embarrassed that a friend saw my gf's active dating profile) and probably wouldn't be able to hide what I feel. Thanks though. Imagining this actually cheered me up.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 05:52 AM

Yeah! That seems to be the consensus. I just wanted to make sure I'm not being unfair or overreacting. I am grateful to you and others for taking the time to respond, I hate that this happened but this community is pretty cool. I'm gonna send her a text tomorrow AM saying it's over. I don't think it's worth doing it in person or on the phone, I do not want another scene like the one she made begging for another chance. Thanks again, you guys taking the time for my dumbass problem means a lot.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 05:37 AM

You would think, right? I go to the gym, I play in co-ed sports leagues, but usually people that I meet out and about are attached. You're totally right, but it's not as easy as it appears. The people that I meet in bars are usually tourists or hookups. Maybe I will let someone at work set me up with their niece or whatever 🤔
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 05:33 AM

Yes, all true. I hate that this happened but better sooner rather than later. Also, I am very grateful to everyone (including you, obviously) that read my post and took time to respond. I've just never had anything like this happen to me before, and her scene begging for another chance was epic. So I consider this a bit of due diligence just to make sure that I'm being fair and not overreacting. Seems like I'm not and the consensus it that this is break-up type behavior, so we're done. I'll send…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 05:24 AM

Fair. But it's how people meet these days. I live in Miami which had a pretty robust social life, but even here like 85% of the relationships start online. All of my crew is either married or in LTR, so what other options are there?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 05:17 AM

🤣🤣🤣🤣 I would totally do this, but if I don't tell her, she'll pretend she's worried and have a bunch of people we know contact me once she finds out she's blocked and I honestly don't want to hear from a bunch of random people calling to "find out if I'm alive and why my gf hasn't heard from me". Maybe a shorter text? Like: It's over, ciao
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 05:07 AM

Thank you! It's so nice that you guys took the time to read my post and respond with thoughtful advice. Hearing hard truths from strangers seems to be exactly what I needed. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't overreacting or being unfair since this has never happened and the scene she made asking for me to believe her was so epic I almost bought it. Seriously the advice means a lot to me so I hope to return it or pay it forward.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 05:02 AM

Not only not on the lease or deed, she doesn't even live with me permanently, she has her own place with roommates. So this is going to be pretty easy. I just wanted to get some independent advice because I've never had anything like this happen before and I didn't want to overreact or be unfair. The scene she made asking for forgiveness was epic and I was close to buying it. Anyway, you guys have been awesome and I am grateful for the advice, I hadn't even thought about the STD issue. I'll send…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 04:59 AM

I didn't believe it, but the scene she made protesting her innocence was epic so I figured I would get some outside input. You guys have been fantastic, really. I am not thrilled that this happened, but I'm touched by how you all have taken the time to read my post and give advice. She's done. I live in Miami, there is no shortage of potential replacements Thank you, sir.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 04:41 AM

Yep. I was thinking the same. Thanks for reading and taking the time to respond.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 04:36 AM

I know what you mean. That's sort of why I was looking for advice. The fact that she first denied it, then said she made it before we were together (which she must have know was nonsense given that the pics were recent) and then went with the friend story makes it kind of hard to swallow. But I don't want to be unfair either... Either way, whether it's friends that want to sabotage us, or she's lying, I just don't feel like I can trust her. Thank you so much for taking this to heart. I am actual…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 04:34 AM

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. I could totally do this. I asked her 'what would you do' meaning what would she do if the situation was reversed but she misunderstood and responded "anything you say". Probably won't do this though, I'm not a good enough actor to pull it off. I needed the laugh and the image totally helped. Thank you.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 04:29 AM

Thank you. I am actually kind of touched that you guys actually read what I posted and took time out of your day to respond. Looks like the consensus is to move on. I'll drop the axe tomorrow.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 04:21 AM

Thank you! It's really kind of nice that you all take the time to read what I wrote and actually respond. And good lord, I hadn't even thought about STDs. On the to-do list ASAP.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 04:19 AM

BTW - fuck your neighbor for being a shitty (literally) dog owner.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 04:16 AM

Thank you! I appreciate the directness and clarity. I was leaning this way, but hearing it from other people really helps. Onward and upward.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 04:16 AM

Thanks! Hearing it from someone else helps, I appreciate you taking the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/23 04:12 AM

Thank you. I am new to posting here. I appreciate the feedback and I am grateful that you took the time to answer. She had a Facebook account that she uses for family stuff it has 1 photo. I don't think she has any other sites other than LinkedIn. I think I'll take the well-thought out advice I'm getting. Thanks again!

Sense of humor, general kindness to the person she is dating and those around her, decency and being considerate, honesty, and good communication skills.

Basically anywhere where you are not being overly intrusive, or interrupting something she appears to be engaged with (like when she is in the middle of typing something, doing an exercise, or when she is in a convo with someone else unless there is an opening to join that conversation in a way that is not rude). Make eye contact, then you'll know. If she looks down and away, or otherwise appears to be uncomfortable or annoyed, don't approach, if she smiles, or looks interested, approach, be pol…

I completely disagree, and will add that this is very, very stupid. Things are not true just because you say them. In this instance you make a series of "factual statements" to support your theory, but those statements have no basis in fact, and you provide no support for them. Even if one gets past the objective stupidity of this, you in no way account for the subjectivity that is inherent in the choices people make for a long-term relationship. And even if you get past the subjective nature of…

This seems pretty spot on based on my own experience and observations and there is a reason arguments like this keep appearing. Of course there are major factors and important information that are not readily visible. But the best advice I ever got was don't take yourself out of the running, let the person you are interested in do that. You never know what might create that "spark", what special turn-ons, or tastes the person might have, you might be perfect for that person even if you don't thi…

I see other commentators giving responses, which essentially can be summarized as "if you feel the date is a job interview" you are doing it wrong. I concur. I would add that not only are you doing it wrong, you are fundamentally misunderstanding what dates are and what relationships are. The idea of a date is not an interview, but rather a chance to spend time together to see if you click, to have fun, to gauge attraction, etc. The idea of a relationship is to have a life-partner, not an employ…

You: "I was totally not racist or fascist, but then I realized that in reality I couldn't have any girl I wanted so now I am both. And anyone that doesn't feel the same way I do is disconnected from reality, kinda like climate change deniers."

This is very stupid. You have provided no factual or statistical support for your inferences. Seriously, other than anecdotally how could you possibly know what position "women" would take on the absurdly worded bullet point categories you provide, much less why they would take that position. Essentially, you have a grievance ('women want to avoid responsibility'), and have made a list of self serving statements as to why you are right to have that grievance. This makes no sense unless you just …

There is no magic formula. However, from experience, I can say that the most effective way to make yourself attractive to women (in addition to being in shape and having good hygiene), is to be confident, and comfortable in your own skin. Women (and people in general) like to be around people that are relaxed, that are generally positive, that do not make them uncomfortable. In a word, be likeable. Don't be an asshole. But at the same time, do not be desperate, be authentic, and try to find peop…

I think the question can be condensed down to: What does "too nice" mean? In the context of relationships, it is likely used as a way to describe someone who just wants it too much. That appears to be trying too hard. That is somehow both insecure and demanding, and that doesn't understand how to give someone space. If someone really likes you, then no amount of over niceness is going to change that. It's during the getting to know you phase that this sort of behavior becomes overbearing, and ne…

Women like men, of course they do. They just don't like "men" that lack confidence or that do not appear to be comfortable in their own skin. Imagine trying to hang out with a women that is consistently thinking that you will leave her, that believes that her sex drive is greater than yours, that spends time cherry picking articles that support her insecurity; a woman like that would be very unlikeable. Women are like anyone else, they like to be with people that make them feel comfortable, that…
