And I know the kids see our misery when we’re in it only for them; at least the older ones see it. When I told my oldest two, they supported me because they saw everything that I thought was hidden, but was plain as day to them.

Good point. I guess I mean that if I should have another chance at it all, my kids are awesome humans, and certainly wouldn’t be a negative but a positive to that mans life in the long run.☺️

I like that you said more tenderness and care, so true! and I’m sorry you have to deal with all this garbage. I am recently divorced after a two decade long marriage. I agree, and no it’s not about me, just a thought though (in defense of some of us single mothers reading this): I am divorced too after being faithful in a two decade long marriage, and I am still mothering a few of my children “left in the nest”. I think “let the divorce sink in” is excellent advice. I’ve been divorced now for 2 weeks, and I had a new revelation even just today that I am indeed free and my own person! How exciting! It’s like the realization hits you at different times.
