So i only intertwine femininity with independence because i feel as if when men see you handle everything they dont know where they can help and it makes them feel less masculine. And i totally agree, its just hard because i was single for so long and had horrible dating experiences and he and i get along great and i really like him but the work ethic thing is getting to me

Wow thats a really good point. Id MUCH rather the latter lol. Before you met your husband, did you attract more feminine men?

He makes enough and has a good job but calls out a lot, and up to this point has been financially irresponsible and went long periods not working. Thats where the work ethic thing comes in- he doesnt seem to try to better his financial position. So when i say the appearance thing i mean he spends more time on his hair than i do getting ready altogether

Very true. I agree, the only reason i mentioned my independence is because i feel as if when men see that they dont feel needed anywhere and that makes them feel less masculine.

Ugh you think so. Since we were friends beforehand it does feel like much longer and we have amazing compatibility. Except for this

Girl its fine lol. You were young and everyone makes mistakes when theyre young. You dont have to disclose your body count to anyone even if they ask. I went through these same emotions and its not worth it to beat yourself up over even though ik you want to. You have different values now and thats okay. Our society glamorizes having a "slut phase" which causes a lot of young girls to do this and then regret it. Its okay

and they would 100% be talking about how hot she is That would be rude and unethical imo of your fiance to say with his friend

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
