Dietitian here. I'm a big fan of keto diet, that consist in avoiding starches and sugars. Unless you are a really active professional athlete, I would recommend keto diet. It prevents type 2 diabetes, and it's used to enhance cognitive function (specially in Alzheimer's and epilepsy) Fruits are to be kept in one a day if so, and preferably non banana due to high content of starch/sugar. I just watched it: long story short the grandmother has to raise the grandson in order to make him independent. She forge him with responsability despite of the difficulties (or thanks to them). In the end he has to choose one pretty hard decision... But you will have to watch it...
