Well - nice to see it's not only men who treat their spouse shitty from the military. You need to lawyer up. You are entitled to her retirement as well. Don't ask another question here - get a lawyer TODAY. If you are in San Diego - I have a great one for you. Prior military spouse as well.

Hire a lawyer and NOW - and one you think is mean. You seem like a nice guy but you'll need someone to be a little mean for you - I say this not out of bitterness but you can see right out of the gate, your soon to be ex isn't going to play fair and nice with you. I believe couples can divorce nicely (mine was) but if the games are starting that soon, and tie infidelity into the mix - you will need someone who can truly be an attack dog, on your and your Childs behalf.

Listen - as much as I hate to admit this, but readily do. I was "that" person in my marriage. I faked it, I thought I would figure my feelings out, and not even out of being mean - I just kept up a facade. Then when I couldn't do it anymore.... I regret deeply not being honest with my ex. She and I are really good now - but it is that some of us, have perfected the art of hiding. Pm me if you want details/analysis as I ended up doing behavior analysis for a living. I have some guesses about your…

Dude - so sorry man. But know one thing - and I'm not saying this to be mean or cruel. Your wife has been planning this a long time - so what is an even that happened quickly for you is something that she has been planning, and lying to you about. I know it hurts - and it probably doesn't help, but you have been blindsided by someone lacking in integrity. I'm sorry - I wish she could have just sat down with you, and looked you in the eye like you deserved and told you she wasn't happy. That woul…

Why would she leave? She gets what she wants in an affair partner and has a guy she's married to that lets her.... you have to, sadly, embrace the fact that you're going to have to stand up for yourself and the sake of your kids. What kind of example do you want them to see? Someone who gets walked on? You don't have to be mean...let the lawyer so that. Get a lawyer, file, serve her papers. She doesn't have to agree....i mean, she didnt ask if you agreed to her screwing another man, did she?

My XW was similar. I worked a ton (and am in biotech). So when she basically said she wanted it "all" I gave it to her....low and behold it took her 4 months to burn through her cash and realize she couldn't afford the house, cars, etc and not work. It actually helped her a LOT - selling the house gave us both over 100K in equity and she, for lack of a better term, "grew up". And honestly, since I took the "higher" road, stayed good with the kids and didn't go out and make a new life - my kids a…

So...you work hard, make the money - she doesn't work, have sex, and throws life to the nanny? Next time she threatens to leave, open the door for her. You will be poor, (unless you get a good attorney) but you will be happy. I'd say meet with an attorney first...seriously. Just to get an idea of what could happen in your area. If you are halfway as decent a guy as you make yourself out to be...let her go and "live her life" her way....it won't be easy for her either....

Looking for attys? What area? And the best advice you will get is....get an atty fast. Before you do anything. Get solid legal advice. Be willing to pay for it if you can...because if you don't pay for decent advice now - you may pay a lot for it later if she gets a good lawyer. And by a lot...I mean a lifetime. My ex gets spousal support for life......

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
