It doesn't. They had a comprehensive view on masculinity that a big majority of the male population subscribed to. This led to them having a very effective army, great cohesion, brotherhood and more. I think anyone at TRP will realize this is superior.

The Romans also sacrificed animals to Gods, so no, we don't take everything as gospel.
