It's because being called something you're not, regardless of what it is, is seen as defamatory. If someone calls you gay when you are straight it has the same effect. Someone mentioned to me that other day that there are two kinda of laws in Sweden. No-one over 18 can sleep with someone 18 or under. The age of consent is 15. I wouldn't use any of the averaging methods if the data was as sparse as the examples given. They are too outlying to give accurate representation of data. Averaging only works when the data is non-extreme. I don't know the data of the rest of the earners in the example OP gave, but the only safe statement that can be made is that over half the male population are not earning. I think that the direction of this statement is stated in the wrong way. By stating Males get "longer" sentences, it looks like we're trying to alter the male's sentence, which we shouldn't. That's post-birth. An arguably separate discussion. If a man decides he doesn't want a baby and the woman decides she does, he should not be financially responsible if the woman decides to have the baby. I agree that the woman should be able to choose, i.e. not forced to have a baby simply because the man wants one - but I also agree that if a woman wants to keep one, then she should also be able to keep one. As long as the man can safely opt out of responsibility.

The reason that this is not quite the same is as follows: For a man, after sex there is nothing further for him to do for a baby to be born. For a woman, she has to nurture for 9 months, sacrifice certain life choices (smoking, drinking, eating unhealthilly etc) and actually give birth. It was satire from a very serious issue, you should be able to take some form of comedic value at how bad certain situations are sometimes. Yes the situations should be faced and discussed properly but if you are too serious about things sometimes then the world can seem like a dreary place to exist in. Taking the light-hearted humour on things is an important part of not turning into a cynical hate-filled person angry at the world. :)

Personally, having seen this gif before. I think the woman thinks he is throwing up based on his awkward holding of the cup and the way he angles his mouth before taking the drink. Not to say he didn't take the moment with wit and class, but rather than gender shaming the woman here, it personally looks like she is trying to avoid being thrown up on.
