1	Why you recording? Police are able to seize a number of things without a warrant. Emailing the video may suffice if they allow that. That’s why i said it may vary depending on the area. I don’t feel like anyone should have to intervene in a crime taking place. That wasn’t my point. 1	Why you recording? My concern with that is that if the police then deem they need that video as evidence that they’ll then just take your phone. 1	Why you recording? You’re absolutely right. However, I guess I don’t get the mindset of pulling out your phone and recording it. Like out of all the possible things you could have done to either help or stay out of the way, you pull out the phone and record it. You’re close enough to the action that you’re either in the way or could be in the way if the situation changes, yet you’re not helping anyone in the situation. If convicted, she could face up to one year in jail. Because she's 17, we chose not to identify her. She has only been charged at this point. She hasn't been convicted of anything.
