I work in an entry level IT position doing T-SQL and help desk type things. We have one woman on are team who was formally trained and seriously knows her shit. (better than me even) But another that was employed here for almost 8 months was an utter waste of space. I know she was making more than most of us. She came in and spent most of the day making small talk and flirting. (recently divorced with two kids..) Everyone's ill feelings were ignored at first on the basis that it must be a gender…

I grew up in an obese family, watched the effects and societal implications. Members of my family won't be alive when they should be because society 'accepted them'. Its heart breaking and something that truly makes me sad when I consider my family. I hate obesity and despise the lazy fucks that let it control their lives. I'm glad he spoke out, 80% of your physique stems from diet. A little bit of blunt truth should be used to get people to take responsibility for their actions. I don't mean th…

Why are you advocating spending so much? That's not going to help you at all, cash gifts are you kidding? Every dollar wisely spent on other people is a dollar you just worked for and wasted. Charity is another thing and so are lady friends but to advise folks to spend does not "make them a creator rather than a consumer" they are totally still the consumer.

"Of course I'm trapped in my own nightmarish small time bourgeois relationship" would be the cause of your severe depression and nihilism. Take a few steps back and or out and assess things. You can have TRP and still be happy but you probably shouldn't cling to blue pill ideals of said happiness. As far as seeing the blue-pill folks at your job and in society.. Just watch them and know that you have it figured out. Try meditating a bit to relieve negative thoughts and to mentally reset yourself…

I can't advocate the MFA sub enough. Ignore the things that don't go with your style. You can ask questions there and get a really good grasp on fashion. If you're anything like me you could give two fucks about the clothes you are wearing. But the reactions I get from women when I'm wearing a pair of dark levis with a oxford button down and nice pair wingtips is completely worth the investment in time\money\energy. I agree with OP that the 'swager-jacking' is probably best left for Seddit. But …

I think both could be accommodated with some planning of your workouts and nutrition and PLENTY of sleep. I lift 5 days a week just got a new job that will allow me to start doing BJJ and\or boxing.

You mentioned reading a book called Might Makes Right. I was unable to find that with my google-fu. Who wrote it? May I suggest reading Black Swan: The impact of the highly Improbable while you're at it. Black Sails looks cool, I'll check it out. good post man.

From my reading on the subject it seems as if most seek therapy of all kinds when they feel that they have lost control of some aspect of their life. Oftentimes this feeling of control is restored by discussing the feelings more thoroughly. As a frugal and intellectual man I'd say try to work it out on paper or something first. If you still feel at a loss then go for it but know that the actual act of therapy isn't whats 'curing' you its you.

Good post man. I managed to go out alone a few times now. Its always one big anxiety issue. I feel like everyone there can see me standing there with no company or friends. I end up walking from bar to bar kind of doing rounds until I feel like I've wasted enough time. Or worse I just hole up a cancer patio and chain smoke. I want to go out and meet people, I can get all ready and get there but I break down as soon as I walk in the door alone. The down time between groups or the lack of a 'home …
