You forgot the part where you aren't getting laid during this wonderful education experience.

Meanwhile 57% of college students are female. There's a male education crisis.

They apparently find it hard enough to complain often.

I don't think you comprehend. Neither sex has it 'easier.' Women get used for sex (pump and dumps). So yes, they get attention, but they have to sacrifice emotional investment for the chance of a real relationship every time they accept someone's interest.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/15 09:16 PM

Attention without sex?

Solipsism, from your perspective yes, from theirs, no, because both genders are after different things, sex and commitment.

They are all related. It's true it requires investment to raise kids, but they grow up, pay taxes, and support the economy.

Look at this horrible population pyramid and compare it to other countries like the US. http://populationpyramid.net/greece/2015/ The greek people are dying, just very slowly. They stopped reproducing at a rate that can sustain their population in 1982. The negative effect of that is now apparent and will grow worse as the population gets older and older. The median age is 43 and over 20% of the population is over 65 and growing. This is a disaster for public finances and economic growth.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/15 02:18 AM

Oh no they do, Greece has one of the lowest birth rates in the world, even lower than Japan surprisingly. It's obviously not the only problem you have, but it is certainly a major unaddressed problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/15 02:06 AM

Your faith is not very comforting, especially considering the economic troubles that Greece and other nations like japan are currently facing. There is no other system that is proven to provide prosperity for the highest number of individuals. Greece is dying, literally.

Because the human race cannot survive in the long run with most women having 2 kids, some have 1, and some having none. You need a significant percentage of women to have 3. This is simple mathematics.

Please see this discussion we had in /r/economics. Work-feminism and materialism is an incredibly destructive element of our society. People have to recognize that 'things' and deriving meaning from careers is not a solution and will not result in increased happiness. Indeed, since the 1970's women have lost ground in terms of happiness. Women must recognize that they exist to reproduce first and foremost, and men exist to provide for their families. This is the natural order of things which has…

That's sort of a chicken or egg argument. More women entered the workforce, putting pressure on traditional households to follow suit or fall behind in purchasing power.

The problem is the other subs are heavily moderated already. Post something controversial in /r/TodayILearned for example and watch how fast it gets removed. /r/science will remove any research post that's over 6 months old. there are by far more reliable ways for testing testosterone levels than digit ratios. I explained you don't know what you're talking about. Digit ratio is the best proxy for the level of testosterone you were exposed to in the womb. This has nothing to do with testing for blood serum testosterone currently in your body.

Yes we could speculate all day, but until this mystery is solved I will continue to assume the worst about the promiscuous. That is the safest course for any individual worried about a future divorce. It's not just a matter of being hung up persay, it's also matter of, wow I could do so much better if I got a divorce and have fun again, in other words she realizes her life is boring and may have never loved her beta bucks in the first place. How many women get married because just because she th…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/15 12:09 AM
1

It's a matter of losing attraction to the beta, which is associated with a lack of sexual desire for that person. Many people get married just because it's time, and not because they think they've really found their soul mate.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/15 12:03 AM
2

Women also sunbathe and go for tanning treatment much more than men. Men don't seek tans like that. A man that works in a office 9-5 is getting very little sun daily. Unless you're some sort of manual laborer, we can expect men to age slower than women in general. Sun is very important though, I agree, look at Sarah Palin from Alaska for example. This is why I consume 12mg of Astaxanthin daily as a natural skin protectant.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/15 09:47 PM
1

If that is true then why do promiscuous women divorce their husbands more often? The promiscuity shouldn't be affecting the health and happiness of the relationship that much, but apparently it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/15 09:39 PM
2

No, there are many issues associated with being BBed by a woman, you have inadequate pair bonding, infrequent sex, and higher divorce risk.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/15 09:35 PM
2

If the age difference is too great the relative change in the SMV curve over time is increasingly disadvantageous to the younger person, precipitating a get out while you still look ok strategy. Partner count and divorce is a problem because it reduces a woman's capacity to pair bond and you have psychological issues such as being spoiled by alpha cock or alpha-widowing.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/15 09:31 PM
1

Not sure, but I'm only interested in 7.5+ women.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/15 09:29 PM
2

TRP is not interested in low smv women. High smv enables promiscuous behavior.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/15 09:29 PM
1

About 25% are, many of them with higher smv.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/15 09:28 PM
2

That is often the case. Inevitably a promiscuous person will be fucked very well by someone her husband will never be able to match.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/15 05:46 PM
1

I explained, they will inevitably be spoiled by their relative SMV advantage over men while riding the CC.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/15 05:46 PM
2

Not saying all women follow a strict AF/BB strategy, but as you say, 25% is a large number, and nearly all of these women will end up AF/BBing. Promiscuity is their defining trait. It's not necessarily pining, but that is sometimes the case.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/15 05:21 PM
3

Not saying you are settling, you will settle though when you get married (relative to the hottest/funnest guy you can or did fuck), that is the point. BBQ is delicious so that isn't the issue. It's about something that is less satisfying in comparison, and you have to eat it forever.

I'm afraid your user name is outdated then.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/15 04:33 PM
3

Ok, here's why you're wrong: When women are in the young/wild phase (not necessarily looking for commitment yet, or often even if they are) can access a caliber of man for sex that is above their sexual market value. This should be self-evident, but I will explain why. The reason is that men want sex more than women do, and they want it more without giving up commitment as well. This disparity gives women an (arguably destabilizing) SMV advantage in any hookup scenario in their 20's, when they a…
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/15 04:20 PM

The only women we can definitively say fall outside the AFBB model are ones that make more money than their husbands. However studies have shown that as a wife's income reaches and exceeds her husband's the risk of divorce increases for all household income levels and socioeconomic categories.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/15 03:59 PM
2

Yes, this is why men who lose their job or get fired are at a drastically higher risk of divorce, but women who lose their job are at no higher risk.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/15 03:51 PM
3

The whole point of the second link is that if a woman is dating your primarily for your wealth you have failed the dating game.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/15 03:48 PM
2

That's the whole point in such analysis no?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/15 01:26 PM

Men have thicker skin and therefore the elasticity is greater. Women have thin skin, therefore they rely on things like anti-wrinkle creams. Their more rapidly aging appearance is consistent with their smaller reproductive window that begins closing rapidly over the age of 35.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/15 01:25 PM

As you say it does trick our minds. We can understand this concept while simultaneously being intimidated by the wearer of such makeup. She is wearing a mask that gives her confidence and SMV regardless of whether it is real or not. Perception is reality.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/15 01:24 PM
1

No it is not, it's saying you should not value what you value. It's not being forced, it's a concerted effort to change what people value in a mate so that being fat isn't such a detriment to finding a mate.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/15 01:19 PM
2

Not surprising, when a behavior is coddled it's goes on, when it's punished it is less likely to continue.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/15 12:18 PM

Short acceptance is analogous to ugly acceptance. That's why it's absurd. What people find attractive is not as socially pliable as people think.

/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/15 11:24 AM

Since women are the gatekeepers of sex the playa sexual strategy can only be enabled by loose legs.

No, but it means race is not their chief impediment to progress anymore. The problem lies within, culturally.

A lot of professional athletes do end up unhealthy later in life, and die sooner. Your average body builder though uses a bulk and cut method, they will periodically gain weight to aid in muscle growth, but then cut their calories and drop the fat.

Why wouldn't you want to date a (single) male friend you are sexually attracted to? That really boggles my mind. Since you're friends you obviously have shared interests and like the person, and if the attraction is there too, that has all of the elements of a good relationship.

The two aren't even comparable, one was nuanced, the other wasnt even close. If he had said black people need to go back to africa then I'd agree.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/15 07:41 PM

It was not well written but he's correct and not racist imo. It's important to recognize black people are not the only group that has suffered past injustices, and you can still succeed despite this. As we go forward black people have themselves to blame moreso than any lingering racism or white privilege.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/15 07:35 PM

He said curbing the bitchiness is one area in which men can be a help, rather than simply the object of the competition. “The only way it might change is if men stopped valuing sexual fidelity and physical attractiveness in long-term mates,” he said. Why do men always seem to be the problem?

All those things he listed and more are things people love about others. Plus, people love each other despite their flaws. Human companionship has tangible value, and reasoning above has none.

It looks so much worse you may only need to add 10 pounds to look worse than the man who gained 20. Women also have less muscle mass, so they are flabbier in general. Reality is sexist.

We're just reverting back to our prehistoric roots where most of the men never reproduced and died childless. We are all the product of 10's of thousands of years of alpha fucks. This marriage thing was just a product of modern economics that feminists have found a way to get around.

Out of 100,000 subscribers... What about the millions of women who wait till 34+ because they are prioritizing career over kids? Of course it's their choice, but it's clear what has done more harm to kids, it's feminism.

Millions of women wait till they are 34+ to start having kids because they are focusing on building a career.

Do you see RP next to my name? I'm aware some men say that, and others say never to get married/have kids. It really doesn't matter as I said, it's irrelevant in terms of the current SMP. If you want to say they are hurting their children by deciding to wait then I agree, but millions more feminists are waiting compared to the 100K subscribers of TRP. So where's the real problem here? It's feminism.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/15 11:24 PM

That's an extreme example stretched to make a weak point. Women should start having children around 23-25, no need for 20, and should be done by 30, not starting.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/15 11:13 PM
2

You'd have to ask them. But men are not having kids older because they want to, it's the SMP that has changed (specifically women's preoccupation with college and career) that has forced this change on them. Regardless, the median age difference at first marriage is like 2 years, so what they say is irrelevant.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/15 11:03 PM
1

Interesting, but this is comparing 21-23 vs 45, which is not even realistic in the current SMP. Because women are attending college more and starting careers the year of first marriage has increased to like 27ish (higher in some Scandinavian countries). Ergo, most children born today are from men 29-35 anyway (due to women's changes in mating patterns). So to get a realistic assessment you need to take the median age of a new dad in 2015 and compare that to 45. I'd also like to point out this is…

Redistribution favors women's sexual strategy because it reduces their dependency on a man, the State becomes daddy in a sense. Nobody will be evading taxes once they switch to a paperless money system (lots of talk about it lately in economic circles), it's already pretty difficult to do anyway though. The taxes are not to incentivize them, it's to be spent incentivizing others who would be willing to have 3 children instead of 1-2. But sensitivity does not lead to instability. I'll give you that much at least. It's certainly a big opportunity for the development of relationship instability though. Since men are less sensitive from our perspective it is a volatility (because it's greater than our own). From a woman's perspective it's the baseline, because it's all she has ever known and solipsistically in some cases believes men should be the same. Many more women suffer from depression than men suffer from schizophrenia, that's for sure. But the depression example is part of a wider point, that women suffer from negative emotional stimuli to a greater degree. When you aggregate these factors in a long term relationship it results in greater instability, which mainly is due to women as the unstable element. So we should not be surprised that…

In a relationship it is, which is what I'm talking about in terms of volatility/instability. Women are therefore more often the unstable element that results in a broken relationship or divorce. They are harder to please and keep happy and satisfied. They need to be romanced more to keep the relationship alive. They are needy in general. Men are simpler animals to satisfy. Very few men are skitzo compared to women who are depressed.

The problem is bad enough in France they felt the need to pass a law making it a felony for a husband to have his child's DNA checked against his own without the mother's consent or a court order. Studies have been conducted which have only been able to estimate the true percentage, varying between 5-12% as I recall. Fatherhood for this reason is legally seen as a social construct in France. Even still thousands of men defy the law each year and mail DNA samples to neighboring countries for ille…

Hypergamy, AFBB, and the dual mating hypothesis are linked. If evidence is found for one (in this case the dual mating hypothesis directly) it supports the others. If research is to be believed on the number of men unknowingly raising children not their own, women do give into these impulses and cheat to procreate. However I don't see how they can draw a long-term stability conclusion with such a young college-aged sample. I would expect this impulse to also partially drive divorce initiation in…

If they are usually only slightly less attractive I would expect the observed change in behavior to be small. However if this is not so then it provides further support for the concept of hypergamy and/or AF/BB as well. I don't see an alternative explanation for the observed gap here. But how do you quantify bitchiness? It would make sense for women to evolve this sexual strategy as their reproductive costs are higher and the supply of high quality men is limited.

In terms of reproductive success (which is the purpose of life) it doesn't make sense to have the women working the fields rather than their primary biological function. It's also less fun.

/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/15 08:40 PM

Of course height is not the only factor involved, it's just bigger than people give it credit for. However the set of criteria that most women use doesn't vary that much, therefore it's rather predictable that white men will have a sizable advantage in most cases. This is the only explanation why there are more white men who marry asian women than asian men who marry white women.

Black guys tend to be the poorest, least educated, and therefore least suited for LTR. Plus, lingering racism. Asians perform better economically than white guys, but not by a wide enough margin to make a big difference.

It does seem counter-intuitive that no decrease in male desire was found, perhaps because of the youth of the sample. If there were more men in their 30's, 40's, and 50's, then the result would change. It doesn't surprise me though that women cope better with a declining libido.

The bottom line is Asian men are much shorter than white men, ergo they are at a significant SMV disadvantage in a multi-cultural/racial environment. It's been demonstrated in studies that women prefer a man that is about 8 inches taller than her. Asian men can't meet this ideal. Men solipistically underappreciate the importance of height to women because height is less important to us. All we really care about is if she's just 1 inch shorter. Sounds narcissistic, but ok. Even still it is women who are usually ready to get married before their boyfriends are. Often women pine over the reluctance of their men to move forward in their relationships. This is because men are the guardians of commitment, and women the guardians of sex. If the milk is flowing, why buy the cow? In the past when women were less slutty and often waited for marriage men had a strong incentive to marry young and quickly.

And I hypothesize there's a genetic component to all this because such social dynamics have existed since men first started hunting in groups and fighting together as a group to protect their families and territory. Women on the other hand are very competitive among themselves, they have a catty tendency that males don't have. Anecdotally I've met a lot of women that will flat out tell you they don't like women. How is it not an example of hypergamy, when a preference is much greater than what is available in the sexual market?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/15 08:49 PM
2

It doesn't reflect most couples because the magnitude of the preference is unrealistic. Women ideally want a guy 8 inches taller, but the average difference in height between all men and women is only 3 inches as someone else already pointed out here, which is laughable and demonstrates how powerful female hypergamous preferences can be. Feel free to pay for the access to the study if you want.

I didn't read it. I would expect the tall women to be less picky about height issues because there are less taller men to choose from and they aren't compensating for any genetic/nutritional deficit of their own.

Of course, but that doesn't negate my point about women vs men's preferences for height.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/15 07:46 PM
11

The issue is the magnitude of the preference. There's an average height difference of only 3 inches between men and women. And men are satisfied with a woman 3 inches shorter, exactly as you would expect, but women's hypergamy drives them to loftier goals.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/15 07:38 PM

Matriarchy can only exist at a very primitive level. Men build complex societies via cooperation. In another study female directors were far more likely to pick an identical play written by a man than a woman. Male directors did not possess a discernible bias. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/06/24/theater/24play.html?_r=0 I think a broad study (no pun intended) on female competitiveness and discrimination needs to be done. It's starting to seem likely that the problem isn't simply misogyny or patriarchy. It actually may be far deeper. Women may simply be biologically prone to cattiness.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/15 07:06 PM

A lack of libido can have nothing to do with the health of the marriage itself, and often does. After all women do have a weaker libido, this has never been disputed. The dynamic isn't changing very fast, and to expect it to be linear is perhaps a fatal assumption. I seriously doubt we will ever reach a state where a woman is equally as likely to approach than to be approached. Women dictate the terms of the sexual marketplace. In economic terminology they are price makers, and men are price takers, because they control the terms in which copulation takes place. In other words they've cornered the market because men are more desperate for pussy than they are for cock. It is true any action is soley the responsibility of the person making it, but people don't make actions in isolation.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/15 10:19 PM
5

I don't see how it's a cop out if women respond positively to it.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/15 10:09 PM

It's what women with high prenatal testosterone respond to, not what TRP labels it as. If women did not reward such behavior it would be highly discouraged. If people were not socially penalized for going around and calling people niggers there would be more people going around and openly calling people niggers. It's women who are ultimately hypocritical enablers on the issue of masculinity.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/15 10:01 PM

It's a gender issue because men are expected to approach and demonstrate their social skills.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/15 09:55 PM

It's a matter of dominance. When I say treat like shit, I mean like not answering their texts, pump and dumps, verbal banter such as negging, etc. The alpha is demonstrating to her that he values his independence and capacity to fuck lots of other women and that she is not so high on the food chain to carry much weight with him in regards to commitment. By utilizing these tools the alpha maximizes his odds of having sex with many high value women.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/15 09:45 PM
12

Yes, there are a lot of self-described feminists that are pretty serious about gender issues, but are attracted to men that treat women like shit regardless. They can't rationally fight their own internal attraction to such masculine men regardless of how many gender studies classes they take. And when they are usually forced to settle for a beta they end up being a higher divorce risk and dead bedroom risk. I believe prenatal testosterone levels in women have some effect on this dynamic.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/15 09:38 PM
14

I think a fantasy a lot of women have is to tame an alpha, in other words be so desirable to him that the alpha wants to be beta for her (or romantic). Then she gets the best of both worlds, but this is impractical because most men are not alpha, and those that are cannot be tamed easily. So such an ambitious sexual strategy usually ends in tears, frustration, and endless promiscuity.

In some ways an unattractive man hitting on a relatively attractive woman is an assault on her self-esteem, because it leads her to question her own SMV if such unattractive people think they have a shot. The creepy feels she gets is just her internal mechanism trying to resolve this and protect her reproductive potential from genetic degradation.

It doesn't change at all unless there are outspoken feminists on the issue, like there are on other issues such as the wage gap and other causes that are unique only to women. And I don't think there will ever be. I am very unsympathetic to the wage gap even if it exists given the realities above. Women haven't demonstrated that they are egalitarian enough yet to have equal incomes. As such an increasing wage gap negates some of this lack of egalitarian mate selection, and therefore actually has…

That part must be marginalized then, because we should have seen more social change in that regard since the 1980's. Instead the 1950's narrative of a male provider lives on even in Sweden. What other explanation is there for the lack of change?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/15 09:40 PM

Even if true in Sweden, there should be a social movement to change this to reach true egalitarianism, but that requires some amount of selflessness for the greater good of society among successful women and feminists. Feminism will always be an unfinished, hypocritical, and defective project until this is accomplished. However the first step is to acknowledge it as an issue that warrants change, and that means allying with some men's rights activists. However pessimistic as I am, I doubt this w…

Sweden has a huge social safety net though, especially for young mothers with subsidized child care and paid maternity leave for example. If anywhere we should see this dynamic broken it's in Sweden. Instead it looks very similar to the US with a weak social safety net and less egalitarianism.

Then why aren't feminists there taking steps to change this dynamic and preach to young women? Also, who is applying this pressure specifically? It's certainly not men at or below median income I think, they are the ones out in the cold.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/15 09:01 PM

There's also a lot of pressure from society to conform to traditional gender roles, which surely plays a role in all this. Is there evidence of this in Sweden? This is suppose to be one of the most egalitarian societies in the world.

This can be a turn off to most men. There are plenty of pedestalizing, weak betas to choose from if they want to be in charge. Women wear the pants in many relationships as it is. I think it's interesting that the divorce risk of a man 30+ years older is less than a woman who is very successful with a husband that is not successful in my study. But I didn't need this study to tell me that, I understand age difference is a problem for divorce risk. 5-10 years should be as large as it's allowed to go. I still believe there's a good chance my cousin will end up divorce raping the ugly man she married and conceived with.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/15 10:33 PM

what do you think about the age difference divorce data? I'm sure as age difference increases divorce risk escalates a great deal. I have a cousin who's a gold digger and married her boss that's 18 years older and already has grey hair. I predicted their divorce, but they just had a baby, so now I would have to hedge my bet. But this is an argument against your theory. The women wanted to avoid rape, so she sought the protection of another man and had consensual sex with him. She avoided rape. Yes, I'm sure that occurred in many instances of the above scenario that has played out millions of times over and over, but not all. It's hypothesized that both men and women fall into two separate phenotypes (a function of prenatal testosterone exposure), one being more promiscuous, and the other more monogamous (with males on balance being slightly more promiscuous). I don't think you're reading what he means properly. If a rape produces more reproductive gains than losses then it is a net positive for the man, the woman, and ultimately the group. However I can think of another example. Consider what it was like to live in prehistoric times, perhaps before language. If a woman is about to be raped by one of the lowest status males she may run to any relatively stronger/higher status male that can prevent that negative reproductive outcome. If that male in tu…

You've dealt with some serious self-esteem issues which probably precludes you from excessive shit testing. Women that have always been attractive tend to shit test the most. Shit testing is in some sense a privilege of those who think highly of themselves and demand the same from a potential mate.

I put nothing bro, that was not my chart, the data is straight from the gss though. Race may be complicated but most people who self-identify as black are mostly black, and we can safely assume as a group they have a lower socioeconomic status. It may be best to do socioeconomic as socioeconomic, but my inference is valid.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/15 03:31 AM

Race and socioeconomic status are correlated (especially black people), why not? Because it's practical for the man to sacrifice for a woman's increased odds of reproducing. Altruism is regarded as a moral virtue as well.

They should have studied incels to see if they got the same outcome, I suspect it would result in the opposite being true. Everyone wants to be liked, but failing that, you'll take what you can get and even lie to yourself. How many betas have convinced themselves their wives are genuinely attracted to them? I imagine a lot.

Beta bucks is a valid reproductive strategy. Bill Gates could have hundreds of kids if he wanted to, impregnating strippers and all types (like Genghis Khan), and never feel the sting of child support. I know a rich guy who impregnated 9 strippers, so it does happen, but it's not culturally approved of.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/15 12:34 PM
1

Betas have been using their brains to get laid for millions of years. The first guy who invented fire was probably beta, and I bet he had more pussy then he could handle afterwards. Betas build advanced human societies. It's not necessarily inherently sexy, but the social status (and money of course) that comes with it is. Also, makeup is inherently deceptive, unlike actual self-improvement.

You may, but when the average guy asks the average girl how he can improve his prospects, they don't tell him to go lift or learn socialization techniques, they tell him to be himself. Sure, that is my biggest complaint against women in the workforce. Feminism has radically altered the balance in life, because it appears women's attitudes haven't changed as their incomes rose, therefore there is a disconnect that is culturally and/or genetically persistent. However some smart and successful women have bucked that trend because they recognize they need support in the household more than a second large income.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/15 08:57 PM
3

Of course, that's why so many women exclaim to their friends, "where have all the good men gone?" I don't expect such an attitude to change, and if it does marginally change, it's more likely to lead to divorce as she was never satisfied to begin with. These people are confused because median incomes for men have not increased in 40-something years, therefore arguably the most important quality that makes a man marriageable is stagnant at best or declining.

As I said it's pointless to have HB10 standards and few people do. But if your standards exceed your own attractiveness, that's not your fault, it's just what you are attracted to. If this is so the path of least resistance is MGTOW (or WGTOW in your hypothetical). It happens all the time.

Plenty? I'm not so sure. In my estimation about 60-70% of women are not attractive (partly due to the obesity epidemic), then when you start controlling for other factors such as a pleasing disposition, you're left with maybe 15-20%. People don't have much control over what they find desirable regardless of their own SMV. I agree chasing after 10's is pretty much pointless for almost everyone. Even if you do have sex with one she will likely be too hypergamous or crazy to keep. If you find a 7 o…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/15 02:35 PM

The only thing worse than sticking your dick in crazy is sticking it in ugly IMO. HB7 is pretty much my minimum standard, everyone else is literally invisible to me, and I don't apologize for that, just as women make no apologies for what they desire in a mate. The problem with very attractive women is most of the good ones are already taken, so you're left with the ones that are unstable and hypergamous in the dating pool.

Yes, we don't know anything about what this woman was like pre-cancer. Maybe she was a shrew and didn't bring much to the marriage anyway. We just don't know all the facts, so it's easy to say what a horrible person he is for leaving her. Maybe he was planning on leaving her before the cancer.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/15 10:38 PM
5

We still know statistically that men are more likely to leave their wife if she gets cancer than visa-versa. That's the counterpoint to a man being more likely to be divorced if he gets laid off at work and a wife being no more likely to be divorced if a job is lost. A woman's health is her currency, a man's capacity to provide is his, if either party can't fulfill their expected obligations (even if through no fault of their own) then the risks of divorce increase.

You have heard of "aging gracefully" haven't you? One that doesn't age gracefully doesn't age well. It's perfectly normal use of language and subsequently everybody understood it. Women's skin is fundamentally different from men's. When you're 60 or 70 you're almost dead anyway, so if men catch up to women's visible signs of aging eventually it's largely irrelevant. Plus, I think everyone is already aware men die sooner, but that's not the point here. The skin on a man versus that on a woman is …

You have to disentangle what it is about people who get a college degree or the degree itself that lowers divorce risk. All we really know for sure is college educated women are less likely to divorce, but it doesn't explain why, it's just a correlation with no further information. I would surmise that people who choose to get college educated have longer time horizons or conscientiousness, and I don't believe all of humanity is blessed with this wonderful personality trait equally. 1

I know it's true, I'm asking you why though.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/15 07:55 PM
1

Why would men consistently prefer women in their 20's? It sounds like aging matters more to women if there's that big of a discrepancy between what women and men find desirable in terms of age. And this is reflected in women's heavy use of anti-aging products, because it's more important for women to slow down the visual appearance of aging. Your husband probably has wife goggles though, so it doesn't become a serious issue for most people.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/15 07:44 PM

I don't think the ratio implies anything about the facial characteristics of women or how attractive they are, except for lesbians because the script is flipped. For men it's different, so a higher ratio implies a more feminine appearance, perhaps as a signal to women that he is a more reliable LTR partner.

It makes sense that more masculine/alpha men would be in opposition to feminism since it's a social movement largely supporting women's sexual strategy (resource acquisition and monogamy). Also, it wouldn't make sense for low digit ratio women to be less feminine because the have always been primary caregivers, whereas with men there is greater freedom for nature to manifest itself in more variation. Women can then select whether alpha or beta traits are better for a given environment. If day to…

It's true you may be born with a preference for betaness and non-masculinity, but self-improvement is always a possibility. We can change the way we think, act, and look, which is why TRP focuses on frame and lifting. Genes are just a base upon which we can build and re-enforce or we can go in the opposite direction by choice or socialization. A man born with a high ratio can embrace his genetic deficit in sports ability or work extra hard to become better than average.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/15 01:34 PM

Butchness is more of a lesbian trait as I understand it. Women with higher T and lower 2D:4D ratios are not necessarily unattractive like men are with low T / high digit ratio. The standard deviation for men's variation in 2D:4D ratio is also higher, so you get more examples of extreme alphas and extreme betas which both have some important advantages. As I said before many times, women are nature's safer bet, men are the expendable experiment. I believe natural selection is primarily related to…

A lack of sex can lead to a lack of validation and a desire for power, ergo involuntarily celibacy is a risk factor for rape. Most healthy people are not involuntarily celibate either.

I'm not apologizing for rape, but rape is a symptom of unfulfilled sexual urges. Therefore involuntary celibacy is a risk factor. We do have self-control, but not all of us are equal in our capacity or willingness to exercise that ability. People seek sex and indeed rape because of desire for at least four different things: intimacy, libedo, power and validation. So you agree masturbation is an weak coping mechanism for men with higher libidos? Great, glad we agree.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/15 04:55 PM

If masturbation was a good substitute men wouldn't seek sex so much or rape for that matter. So no, try again.

Women cope better with involuntary celibacy Common sense dictates that if you have a lower sex drive than I do and we are both involuntarily celibate, then I will have a more difficult time dealing with that condition. Men's self worth issue is entirely cultural, so maybe London is different that most of the United States in that regard, but I can tell you it certainly is widespread here.

After months of reading and compiling results, the answer was clear. There is a substantial difference, and men have a much stronger sex drive than women. To be sure, there are some women who have frequent, intense desires for sex, and there are some men who don't, but on average the men want it more. Every marker we could think of pointed to the same conclusion. Men think about sex more often than women do. Men have more sexual fantasies, and these encompass more different acts and more differe…

Women cope better with involuntary celibacy or celibacy in general. Their sex drives are not as strong. There are probably evolutionary reasons for this. Also, culturally a large portion of a man's self worth is determined by how and if he accesses sex. Virgin men are therefore laughed at, but virgin women are not, they are valued.

Feminism created the climate for this beginning in the 1970's (dramatically increased household income). Recall we had this discussion before about the rapid inflation of the 1970's and early 1980's which coincided with women dramatically increasing their education levels and full time employment in careers (directly competing against men for the income required to support a household). Fuel and fire.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/15 12:07 AM
1

That's because of the widening gap between rich and poor for the most part. So of course the average household is under financial stress, the rich own their mortgages and the Fed supports the value of the underlying asset (housing) by pumping money into the system. There are tons of households today, relatively wealthy ones, that are not having more than 1-2 children because it's a lifestyle choice. They're essentially greedy, self-centered, borderline narcissistic people who refuse to reproduce…

I have said exactly what I mean, but you have to listen instead of just reading, feminism pushes more women to value work/careers (and therefore acquiring income) over family/home life. This is fuel, income, because you can't buy anything without disposable income. Materialism is like fire, because it consumes disposable income, and has negative externalities like I discussed already (lower birth rates and poorer parenting/supervision). Excessive materialism would be impossible without feminism.…

It aligns with everything I see every day, whether a woman is a stay at home mom with more free time than she knows what to do with or a full time career woman her propensity to be more materialistic than her boyfriend or husband is relatively strong. But of course this is not unique only to women, as I have shown our society overall (including both men and women) is more materialistic on balance than Europe, and certainly much more materialistic than the Dutch. Some of the blame for this must b…

As I said I do not need to prove the two are related because I make no such claim, only that they result in the same effect as independent variables influencing labor market participation and demand for higher education and full time careers. There is logical support for both of these as increased materialism increases demand for disposable income. And culturally there is certainly a pressure on women to go to college and succeed in a career. There is ample evidence to support the notion that wo…

The two factors don't have to necessarily be linked directly (but it wouldn't surprise me to see someone argue for that). They can be independent cultural variables causing a similar effect. And cars are just one aspect of materialism. Anecdotally, my best friend is about to have twins and his wife wanted to spend like $5000-$10,000 (can't remember the exact figure but it was outrageous) on just the baby room in the house (it's a brand new house). Men probably waste more money on cars but women …

I am blaming 3rd wave feminists as well, I don't know why I have to keep repeating that. Part of this is a materialism issue (wasting money) which makes families need more dual income households, but part of it is an ideological issue that centers around simply being successful and financially independent that feminists have pushed very strongly in the US. The majority of consumer spending in the US is driven by women as well, whether they work or not. And most buyers of luxury autos in the US a…

The issue is that it's not simply a matter of total working hours as I explained, it's a matter of women in the Netherlands working part time versus more all or nothing in the US, and them feeling better about themselves and having more free time for family and friends overall relative to all the full time women in the US who are under work strain at their job and at home, and the low achieving women who feel left out because they can't buy a sexy new car like their friend, and they feel shamed …

Again, you are getting misleading results by focusing on averages. If 42% of women work full time in the US, sometimes as high as 50-60 hours a week in a demanding corporate or other setting, then your results comparison will skew to the upper range by these go-getters climbing that ladder. And I doubt most of the full time working mothers are happy given the pressure they're under. Also there are less happy stay at home moms because of the peer pressure from feminists to succeed so they feel li…

The US doesn't claim to have a high gender equality index score. Plus, the US does have more professional women who are strongly dedicated to ambitious careers paths that directly compete with other men trying to provide for a family, that's why there's more women in college relative to men in the US compared to the Dutch. That is all I'm arguing, bringing us back to my original point.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/15 08:39 PM
1

Average of all is a mistake because it's skewed by professional women making many times more than relatively lower skilled part timers, they need to separate out only part time which is where most women fall. And median would be better too. By their own methodology it shows here 55% of women are considered financially dependent, meaning their incomes are too low to support themselves. The New York Times article quotes that level at which a person is considered financially dependent as $997 euros…

The average full time working woman perhaps. Source? According to my source the average weekly working hours of a woman is 24 hours, and 57% of working women are considered financial dependents as their income is too low. That roughly translates to $10 euros an hour, because most of the work is probably low skilled.

And I have already explained to him: In the workforce is not the same thing as being ambitious, such as pursuing a career in a corporation, in the medical field, law, etc, etc. By looking at these metrics we see a more clear picture of their attitudes. Furthermore, most Dutch working women make less than 1000 Euros a month, about the same as a minimum wage worker in the US at Mcdonalds or whatever. Lastly, the male/female gender ratio of students in college is more slanted in favor of women in t…

The facts I used to support my arguments are largely not in dispute. Dutch women emphasize free time, family, etc, over work and success, completely the opposite of many feminists in other countries. Subsequently they are among the happiest women in the world. You have no argument, and you wish to remain ignorant by not reading the linked article. Of course there are, but they are a relatively minor element from what I can tell compared to the UK for example. Dutch feminists have accomplished what needed to be done. Now they appear to be in some sort of unique post-feminist cultural frame that sets them apart from other European nations.

No, I got this from reading this which I have already linked to you, but I guess you didn't take the time to read it. Until you do read it we can't continue this conversation. There are Dutch women being interviewed in the article speaking about their views. I wouldn't say Muslim Dutch women have no freedom at all, but it would be ignorant to say they're just as free as other Dutch women due to their cultural background.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/15 07:09 PM

Culturally Dutch women, I would think that would be obvious, but I'm happy to clear up the misunderstanding. Recent immigrants haven't had time to completely integrate into Dutch society, and it tends to be a slow process for a number of reasons. That's why there are anti-islamic demonstrations going on in Germany.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/15 06:58 PM
0

Where the Islamic women are is largely irrelevant. I guarantee you there are Muslim women in the Netherlands who are wearing garments they would really rather not wear, but because every male in their family would disapprove they continue to wear it, just like men used to disapprove of women not staying at home with the kids in Western society. Their culture is brought with them when they immigrate to the Netherlands and elsewhere.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/15 06:47 PM
0

Right. Dutch women feel no social pressure in one direction or the other (work or stay at home). But Islamic women do feel social pressure to wear the hijab whether they like it or not. So your analogy is flawed.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/15 06:40 PM
0

Islamic society highly restricts women's choices, but Dutch women feel no social pressure in one direction or the other (work or stay at home). The feminist social pressure in the US/Canada/UK however is promoting work over staying at home with the kids.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/15 06:36 PM
0

You're really going to compare The Netherlands to Islamic traditions? Women are completely free to do anything they want in the Netherlands, it's just that feminists don't like their choices. They don't like the cognitive dissonance. The Dutch women are happier and freer than feminists in the US/Canada/UK.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/15 06:31 PM

Dutch women don't want to climb the corporate ladder. That's why 60% of Dutch corporations listed on the stock market have no women at all in the boardrooms. They aren't being discriminated against, it's a lifestyle choice for them. A gender quota law for the Dutch is like trying to pound a square peg in a round hole.

At 70 percent, Dutch female employment is high — but Dutch women work on average no more than 24 hours a week. They earn 27 percent less than men and 57 percent are considered financially dependent, earning less than 70 percent of the gross minimum wage, or €997 a month — the equivalent of $1,300. Only four of 20 members of the current cabinet are female and 60 percent of the companies listed on the Amsterdam Euronext have no women on their boards. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/12/30/world/europe/…

That's most of the women between the ages of 25 and 50. Obviously if you work part-time for 18+ years while you raise your children you are not going to have a fabulous career. And that is the only relevant fact. Compared to Canada for example it's only 20% of women with dependents that work part-time, and much more working full-time and dropping their kids off at daycare or school. So my original point stands.

I mean full time workforce participation. Obviously if 75% of women (most of which reproduce at some point and become mothers) work part-time they are not directly competing with most men for resources to support a family. They are only marginally adding to family income. Dutch women are not highly ambitious about their careers like elsewhere.

What if I make $250,000 a year? What does that do to your equations? Earning power of .1 is actually a huger factor than you're giving it credit for. I made no claim about all women being gold diggers, but I think it's safe to say a significant portion of attractive women are gold diggers, how much I can't say, I can only guess. Plus, there are degrees of gold digging. If a 9 marries a 7 because he earns twice as much as her, $150K (him) vs $75K (her), is she a gold digger? Quite possibly. When the disparities in income get larger the disparities in looks tend to as well.

Many young men can forget about having sex with anyone, average or hot. That is the major source of the discrepancy.

There's a reason why the nature vs nurture debate is endless. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle which is the source of the confusion, but don't expect a resolution anytime soon. If women's lower sex drive can be explained by social factors alone (such as being stigmatized) then why does it persist in marriage? You're venturing into a very complex topic. Husbands’ SDD (sexual desire discrepancy) did not appear to change across time, but their SDD scores were significantly higher than …

The 80/20 contention was never that it applied to all men in society, only to single young men looking for sex (and most likely still in college). It's often feast or famine for young men.

The evidence is clear enough, genetic testing done on humans proves that the majority of men who have ever lived never reproduced. Beta bucks didn't exist for most of human history in which we were simply hunters and gatherers. Such primitive societies in the wild today share resources within the group. That's why women are always pining for more socialism, as it supports their sexual strategy. What attracts a woman is much more intangible and difficult to put your finger on. This is where the confusion stems from. Therefore the left is socially lassaize faire. Anything goes... But the overwhelming majority of women have not benefited and will never benefit from the ideology of 3rd wave feminism. In fact, a majority of women have suff…

No system is perfect, but absolute democracy has some pretty strong disadvantages. The concept of 1 man/woman 1 vote is on it's face false, because we know not every person is equal in knowledge, education, intelligence, and reason. How large of a disparity of these qualities exists among the population and who can/does vote largely determines the health of a democracy in the long run. Our Founders understood this concept better than anyone. That's why our Benjamin Franklin said we've been given…

They are the engine that produces the next generation and supports the current one, which is invaluable as far as I'm concerned, but it's not something that you can put a dollar figure on and reward accordingly. Yeah, I'm not so aggressively libertarian. I think some progressive taxation is probably warranted today. For example, I would eliminate all forms of welfare and replace it with a universal basic income that doesn't penalize the poor for seeking paid work, but I would restrict new immigrants from qualifying for a period of time. The only people on the same page with me tend to be a few academics/economists.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/15 04:01 PM

Well there's a lot more to politics than simply economics, although that's a huge component. Also, if the system is still theoretically accessible to anyone who wants to take the time to study and follow current events then you can technically still sell the idea as an open political system, and anyone that doesn't participate does so by choice, just like now.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/15 03:47 PM

Well the founders of our country and constitution believed something similar, so it's not a foreign concept historically. That's why they crudely limited the right to vote to landowners and men, which planted the seeds of it's downfall. Rather I would like to see another way for society to limit the right to vote to the people most qualified to do so. Perhaps a rigorous current events / political knowledge test every 4 years?

I agree, which means democracy is the problem, not a solution. But that position is dark enlightenment as well. Democracy is based on the assumption that if you aggregate the will of the voters society will improve over the long run. If this is no longer the case, then there is pressure to change the system. Our founders were well aware of the problems associated with total democratic mob rule.

Technically true (because if she didn't I'd be dead or in foster care), but deceptively misleading. That's a complex question. A woman might better answer it. I think a big part of it is cultural. Women grow up watching Disney cartoons that glorify marriage, like Cinderella and such, subsequently they often grow up dreaming of their own marriage. Men grow up watching what? Cartoons and games that glorify violence/justice for the most part.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/01/15 06:33 PM

That's true, but low income households are at higher risk of divorce due to economic uncertainty. A job loss can really impact a household's finances very quickly, so it's important to have some savings (6 months of living expenses is the norm).

That's a reasonable argument, and I have thought about it. They are often priced out of the sexual market essentially. But men who are recently divorced are more likely to remarry than their recently divorced wives. How would you explain this?

Yes we did, look again, 2000's and 1960's are the closest together at the current years into marriage. There are a wide variety of factors that increase or decrease your chances of getting a divorce. A college education is a big one that helps. Getting married at a later age helps too.

most guys can get to a place where looks are not the barrier for their involvement with women. A young beta can always bat below his SMV, that has never been in dispute, but he's disincentivized to do so. His optimal choice (though unpleasant as it may be in his 20's) is to wait till he's 27-33 and get married to someone close to his own SMV, which has risen since 18-22.

Some people are just born less attractive. Can they work at it? Of course. But there is a hard limit or range that people follow. I don't believe laziness and obesity are the primary reasons beta males are unattractive to women at 22. Plus, betas have other non-physical traits that are generally undesirable to young women, such as pedestalization. Furthermore, women are the choosers, not men. It is their preferences that have driven the increasing age of first marriage, and only their preference…

They have no leverage to do so. It's not a matter of choice for them largely, they simply have lower SMV at a young age. They have to heavily invest in their future to raise it such that women will be ready to settle for them when they're older and successful. Women would have to make that choice, but only sexual market forces would cause that to happen. The unhappiest part of a man's life is in his 20's, and this is one of the reasons for this.

Interesting, I didn't know that, thanks for the info. If you are a woman you have another genetic/survival dilemma as well. The masculine man will give you sexier sons, but he's less likely to stick around for support. The feminine man is exactly the opposite, as pair bonding is a better sexual strategy than promiscuous couplings. There's a complex confluence of factors dictating which…

Income disparity in society impairs a man's capacity to get laid much more than women. They're going to steal, deal drugs, or whatever to get the green so they can get the women too. And they'll join a gang for the status it provides. Failing that, rape is the last criminal avenue they have available to them. Korea and Japan sometimes have tremendously long work hours and are expected to go out to drink with their boss in the evening otherwise they won't advance. Most failed suicide attempts aren't genuine. Any expert on suicides will dispute that I think. Such statements are frowned upon strongly. Studies have controlled for things like substance abuse in men, they still found that women had more mental illness in general. Your 'facts' are countered by other 'facts' and studies. Narcissism is also increasingly rapidly among younger generations of women. And they're catching up fast. The current obsession with Facebook is a perfect example of this.

Given women attempt suicide more, I'm doubtful of that. Men get things done, ergo they use things like a gun to commit suicide, and women use pills which makes them more likely to survive.

Financial abortion is warranted given uneven access to birth control and post-coitus abortion access. Plus, I personally know women who have allowed themselves to get pregnant in order to ensnare a guy. http://psycnet.apa.org/journals/abn/107/1/109/ The female preponderance emerges early in life, and retrospective data indicate that at age 6, females are already twice as likely to have experienced an anxiety disorder than are males. If men have it harder then isn't it rational for them to have more mental illness? The vast majority of men are not violent drug/alcohol addicts, but depression is widespread among the female population for example.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/14 05:24 PM
4

Equally? My position is not that men are never traumatized.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/14 05:19 PM

I'm not sure, if you ask most people who deal with suicides they will dismiss that notion. I think there is such a thing as a suicidal cry for help.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/14 04:33 PM
1

As I told someone else women attempt suicide almost as much as men, yet they are more likely to be receiving help/treatment already or to seek it out. Men get the job done with things like a gun, which is another difference. Women kill themselves in ways that often don't result in immediate death, like cutting or pills, so they are more likely to be saved/helped.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/14 04:26 PM
1

Those are all unique to women yes. 'A hard live' is inherently subjective so we will never come to terms. At least if women do experience a harder life in general then that would explain why they experience higher rates of mental illness. However my original point stands, women are more fragile. The why is another question entirely.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/14 04:22 PM
5

That's true this is a bit of a circle jerk, but I will continue to stick with my original statement because it reflects what I see every day in my life. I see women who are crushed by minor incidents that wouldn't phase me or my friends for a second. Men are just stronger, mentally and physically.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/14 04:10 PM
1

Who is more likely to be injured on the job? Who works higher stress jobs in general? Who dies sooner? Men experience a wide array of disparities that justify my position.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/14 04:08 PM
1

Studies I've read about male/female differences in mental illness have controlled for the fact women are more likely to seek out help/treatment, but they still have higher rates regardless. The only rational explanation that remains for the disparity is an environmental and/or genetic deficit.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/14 04:05 PM

Good we agree.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/14 04:03 PM

There is no need for people to downvote me either, but they do. Men do have harder lives in general and they have lower rates of mental illness, which is counter-intuitive. Studies have been done that attempted to control for the fact women are more likely to seek help and treatment and they still have higher rates of mental illness regardless. Objectively it is a fact women are mentally more fragile.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/14 04:01 PM
2

Women attempt suicide almost as much as I recall, it's just men get the job done. Also men are less likely to seek help because society has taught men that their emotional and physical well-being is less valuable and they are more expendable. Rationally the solution to men's problems is often suicide.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/14 03:56 PM
2

That's an interesting theory with no supporting evidence. However we do know women experience higher rates of mental illness in general, so there's that.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/14 03:53 PM
2

Did you know women experience higher rates of mental illness? And it's not just a factor involving them being more likely to be diagnosed and treated either.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/14 03:52 PM
2

You're on an impossible mission, you have to prove that men experience emotional trauma just as much as women do via rape. I doubt anyone has studied it comparatively because men's lives matter less to society. Women also experience higher rates of mental illness in general, but of course you didn't know that did you? Why would you expect this to be any different?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/14 03:50 PM

Emotionally to the point you need therapy and support groups to recover?

Morbidly obese people are probably addicted to food, but food is often a way to sooth other problems in their lives. You have a long way to go to prove to me that RP men's sex drive is analogous to the morbidly obese. Arguably the entire purpose of life is to reproduce, so sex is pretty important, far exceeding the want of alcohol or fun.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/14 09:55 PM

That depends how you define need. Can you survive without sex? Sure. But: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maslow%27s_hierarchy_of_needs Sometimes simply surviving isn't enough. There are a lot of social and economic costs associated with current mating patterns and lower fertility rates. Children benefit from either having a mom or dad that spends more time with the child.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/14 02:25 AM
5

No, because the original study I linked analyzed the statistical information available and found that if assortive mating patterns had not changed since 1960 then the increased education/income among women would be supporting more household incomes and therefore there would be less income inequality today, but it isn't due to this change in mate preferences. Greenwood and his colleagues estimated that the Gini coefficient was .34 in 1960, or about a third of the way to complete inequality. When …

Here is the logical progression: If hypergamy exists as a phenomena driving women's mate preferences, then any increase in education/income among the female population will decrease the desirability of the men being displaced, who now earn comparatively less than they would otherwise with less total purchasing power as well. If these educated women had married more of the men they displaced to perform menial jobs like trash collection and construction then there would be less income inequality t…

The problem is women outnumber men in college, so it is not a gender neutral process. This change in assortive mating accounts for a large degree of the growth in income inequality since the 1960's when women started to enter college and the workforce. Presumably if this hadn't occurred then assortive mating would've remained the same and income inequality would be less today. So how is that a gender neutral change? And if so, what is driving it?

If there were more stay-at-home moms cooking wholesome food for their children there would no doubt be less obesity in young Americans. Again, it's a problem of women misprioritizing their lives. Hypergamy in action: New academic study links rising income inequality to ‘assortative mating’ This problem is poised to get worse because the current younger male generation has a significant disadvantage when it comes to education compared to women (except for the relatively small percentage of the male population in stem of course). Furthermore, these dual-income wealthy couples aren't having enough children to make up for the assortive mating drain on household incomes overall, which means i…

Women may have to hold back more emotional attachment to devote to their babies as well. They often love their husband, but the only true unconditional love they have is their offspring. Men of course have emotional attachment to their offspring as well, but they don't carry it for 9 months, feel it grow inside them, and give birth/nurse it. People can only truly care about so many things simultaneously, and there is a limit or reservoir that must be conserved and spent wisely.

Shattered gender roles have only really been relevant for the top 10-20% of women anyway. They are the ones pushing hardest to break glass ceilings and such. Most women would be content just raising their children, then working part time or picking their career back up in their 40's or 50's. But there's a catch-22 for most successful/educated women, they don't want a guy beneath them, intellectually, financially, and socially. And to be fair some men are not crazy about the concept either.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/14 07:45 PM
2

What most people want is not really important anyway, and that can be modified via culture. For instance, I read that 70% of consumer spending is driven by women now in one way or another. We've become a society of over-consumption and under-investment. But it doesn't have to be that way. The millennial generation has rejected a lot of this stuff already. If people stop the over-consumption then gender roles make a lot more sense because you don't need two incomes to survive as much as before.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/14 07:34 PM
5

Feminism as it exists today may end up being obsolete too, given the demographic decline of most advanced economies. Shattering gender roles have broken the engine that created this economic miracle we enjoy. Women shirking their duty to reproduce and raise children will only lead to a long term decline or crisis of some sort. See Japan for details there. Women can't escape their biology until they invent artificial wombs and we can grow children in a tube.

I do, because that is what has allowed humanity to progress to this point. Women in the workforce means less focus is on children and reproduction. This is not good for society's future overall. Children require a great deal of attention. Gender roles work remarkably well.

I am happy to see them raised in good homes that hopefully produce productive citizens, however I'm only stating the facts that complicate such efforts and should not be used as an excuse not to reproduce. Fertile couples often wait years to adopt a genetically inferior child, what a waste.

Many muslims believe it is ok, however the cousin marriages are the predominant form of incest in Muslim communities.

Only ones that have heavily inbred over the centuries. However culturally much of the Islamic world in inferior regardless of their genetic degradation. So it doesn't matter, there are complex factors involved that will suppress the formation of advanced civilization.

Cousin marriages have been scientifically implicated in rapidly reproducing genetic defects in a population. That is all that is important, and that is how I know they are inferior today.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/14 02:55 AM

A holy book means nothing if the population ignores it. They are all inbred by now given the prevalence of incest for such a long period of time.

Jews are bred for intelligence, Islamic people are not. They're inferior, their IQs are considerably lower, and they will never be highly productive members of society contributing to science or anything of high value.

My only point is that what the Qu'ran says doesn't mean shit, people can interpret this shit as they see fit, which they obviously have.

Jews are theorized to have undergone some incredible genetic selection over the centuries for the highest intellects, ergo they are now some of the most successful, intelligent, and productive people in society. Royalty inbred, but not to the extent that Muslims have been doing for centuries. There's an accumulative effect, each successive generation of inbred people gets genetically weaker. Jews also don't inbreed today. Their populations were smaller in the past.

One might think that verse 4:23 specifically prohibits a man from marrying (that is, to have sex) with his biological daughter. However, this may not be so. Hashim Kamali, one of the most eminent scholars of Islamic Jurisprudence and currently the Professor of Islamic Law and Jurisprudence at International Islamic University Malaysia writes: An example of the zanni in the Qur'an is the text which reads, ‘prohibited to you are your mothers and your daughters’ (al Nisa’ 4:23). I agree, birth control is the primary problem for the people we want to be reproducing. That's why I scratch my head when I see conservatives oppose subsidizing the health care of the poor and their birth control. We need the poorest to have free birth control and abortion-on-demand to eliminate accidents. If this could be accomplished then we could ban abortion perhaps. But with asymmetric access to birth control, banning abortion would only strengthen the negative correlation between IQ and fe…

A simple explanation is that people age very slowly. If you fall in love with a young woman and she's 20 years older now, you'll still remember how hot she once was when you fell in love. But if she waits to get married till she's 35 that will never be the case because she wasted her youth on other men.

Of course there is more you can do, such as start throwing people in jail that hire illegals. Also, drug policy has to be relaxed to put the cartels out of business and money wasted on enforcement should go towards rehabilitation facilities. People married more out of necessity for most of human history. Today is the aberration, and therefore largely an experiment as it hasn't been tested long enough with any strong indicators of success. These same women end up marrying these beta guys anyway when they're older. So it's not due to an absolute lack of attraction but rather an exploitation of different sexual markets that have values that change over time, because that path is now available.

The term "soft science" comes from the fact that social sciences are much more difficult to test and replicate, and they rely on much more critical thinking and interpretation than the physical sciences. They don't have to necessarily get married in college, but there does need to be more serious searching for who you are going to match up with, which to be fair does happen but not to the extent that it has in the past with my grandfather's generation. Money trumps attractiveness for women in the long run because they're not even fertile past 35-40 anyway, so the marginal utility of a mate's attractiveness declines as women age, which is the theoretical basis for AFBB to begin with I suppose.

Not everybody has an equal intellectual capacity to produce. In Austria this is a foreign concept perhaps, but in highly diverse societies like the US it is a way of life. And the low birth rate in Germany is unsustainable, which is why Germany is bringing in Turks and other groups that still reproduce. High investment in a declining population is untenable in the long run in a monetary system that depends on increasing levels of debt. See Japan for details.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/14 02:36 AM

No but I'll check it out. Women are better at verbal combat, they know how to press men's buttons and amp up the drama. If a woman is going out of her way to fuck with me I'd happily slap her if the laws weren't so fucked up.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/14 01:50 AM

I agree with that actually, it all depends on the situation, but it's just not worth cooling your heels in jail for IMHO.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/14 01:17 AM

That's an interesting point. I won't say a pimp is beta, but he can only maintain a flock of lower caste women. He's a bottom feeder essentially, and drug addiction is part of the cycle those women get caught in. It's an economic nitch in the sexual marketplace. But how many true alphas have never felt compelled to slap a woman? I imagine a lot. He's got pussy coming out of his ears, he doesn't need the drama.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/14 01:06 AM
1

Certainly, but too many arguably non-alphas or lesser-alphas resort to slapping/beating a woman because the woman is realizing they're not really alpha and she will leave him for someone better. If a woman has legitimately done something to him that warrants a response, that's another matter entirely. But I think there are better ways of handling that in most situations. There are all kinds of people that could use a good thrashing to set them straight.

Symantics. I admit there's a lot of violence at the top, my own father used to go out beating people up for fun on a Friday night, but he never picked on the defenseless or the weak. He was looking for a fair fight. And when he saw some Hells Angels beating the shit out of a woman on the beach he cracked the guy's head open by throwing him into the side of a steel door. Then he beat the shit out of the rest of them. That's alpha in my book. But the guy beating the shit out of a woman is not alph…

Bullies are not alpha. An alpha doesn't need to kick someone while they're down to feel better about themselves. However you're right, a victim of bullying may find themselves in a persistent lower position if they fail to stand up for themselves.

Some will never settle or jump off the alpha cock, some will settle for a lower earning beta but not till her youth is used up. Basically more of the same AFBB. Betas need money like women need beauty to be competitive in the SMP.

This is basically why American/Western civilization is in decline. So yes, I would rather live in that world than the one we have today. Rome went through a similar period of debauchery and declining birth rates, and some argue that contributed to their decline as well. The parallels are uncanny. But people are not going to willingly sacrifice their freedom to do as they wish even if it's for the greater good of future generations.

Hot chicks also have a big sense of entitlement/ego because life is so easy for them and men do all kinds of shit to supplicate them.

hotter women are crazy more often though Or the good ones are far less likely to be single because men have enough sense to hang on to them.

My high earning engineer friend married one low on the crazy axis but only about a 7 on the hot axis. Seems to work for him, but then again he always sends me images of hot young naked girls on instant messenger, lol.

I'm sure some omegas get laid, but it's clear they're at the bottom of the totem pole in terms of getting laid. You have some men that actively chase after fat women, obviously omega.

Certainly there are many sad men out there, and they resort to and accomplish suicide in far greater numbers than women. How much their suicides are related to loneliness versus other factors like a lost job is an open question. What is clear is that most men are more disposable and always have been, ergo they can't afford to be too susceptible to unhappiness, otherwise they won't survive or do well. For example, my grandfather fought in a tank battalion in Patton's 3rd army in WW2. He told us s…

I agree, but women could be doing much better than they are today. The Dutch are the happiest women in the world for example.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/12/14 04:37 PM

How Dutch women got to be the happiest in the world Men are happy-go-lucky by nature in my opinion because we have to be. Life often deals us a great deal of misery like war or injuries on the job. Men have always been discouraged from crying because we can't afford to be that weak. We have always been the disposable gender, so it should logically follow that it shouldn't take much to keep a man happy, because these traits have been selected for and society reinforces that notion. Balls empty an…

The grandmother effect, longer lifespans for older women may confer a greater reproductive advantage for grandchildren. But that is just my own wild speculation, inspired by historical male disposability. Men work jobs that are more physically demanding/dangerous/unhealthy outdoors, which I'm sure reduces their lifespans relative to women. Men also work in a lot of high stress jobs in finance/business relative to women. Lastly, men are less likely to seek medical treatments for ailments because …

I suppose there's that risk, but it's less of one if she were the older partner. Age affects women's desirability more than men.

Women are actually more likely to be violent in a relationship though. Male violence is almost exclusively at the lower end of the socioeconomic ladder, which implies it's linked to economic degradation and the need for money to access sex.

Good, always treat your man with respect as well, be appreciative of what he does for you, etc, etc. And he'll love you too much to cheat on you. Cheating is not all that common in happy marriages.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/14 12:16 AM

First you should cite the study you're basing this assumption on. Also, RPW are dedicated to remaining in top physical condition so they maintain their desirability. So there are a lot of variables to consider.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/14 12:13 AM

I guess I operate under the assumption that most men will cheat regardless of what they have at home. Studies seem to validate my beliefs as opposed to the belief that regular sex will keep a man from cheating. That would be a faulty assumption I think.

True, there is a desire for variety out there, so not all infidelity can be explained by lack of sex or fantasy starvation. Women usually prefer a mate close to her own age, but men prefer the younger regardless of their age. This is a fundamental difference that drives male infidelity too. The risk can of course be mitigated by marrying an older man.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/12/14 11:46 PM

Sex 3-4 times a week should do the trick. Also, many men cheat because they're afraid of telling their wives about their fantasies, so they seek out other partners to fulfill this. You need to be aware of this and make it known you won't judge him negatively for exploring other aspects of his sexuality. Any prudish tendencies will increase the risk of infidelity. There's no way to prove this but I suspect most of the male infidelity is caused due to women's declining sexual drive relative to men…

I don't think they're less honorable, but I do think they're less happy in general and therefore harder to please over the span of a lifetime or marriage. Pleasing a man is relatively simple. Women have actually lost ground in terms of happiness since the 1970's, both relative to men and in absolute terms. This is a paradox because women have gained ground in many aspects of society which should be increasing their satisfaction.

I've had a number of productive debates here, so it's not pointless at least for me. At the very least it's healthy to be exposed to points of view that are completely opposite of your own.

This is one of the reasons I've had to disassociate myself with TRP. I want to see a better society, not one where just the alphas bang dozens of bar sluts. TRP is largely counterproductive on an individual level and for society.

Objectively it's not, men can still have children in their 50's, women can't. Their sperm quality only diminishes with age.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/14 08:40 AM
1

If that's your question it's the wrong one because it's not taking into account all the variables of sexual/marital desirability. Men don't have a wall, it's a slowly sloping line from about 33 to 50. Look at all the women who find Matthew McConaughey attractive, he's 45 and could still pull the P card if he wanted to. How many famous women age 45+ could say the same thing? The bottom line is that women don't age well.
