Just a head's up, after reading both my take was that Atlas Shrugged was the same story as The Fountainhead told with double the words. As for what to read after Shrugged, take your pic: Fiction: Lord of the Rings Nonfiction: Iron John

Not to be too harsh, but your post is missing the forest for one particular tree (feminism). To wrap your head around the social issues of today you've got to elevate yourself above the gender divide and survey the larger battlefield. Do some research on the following: Conflict Theory- The wing of sociology originated by Karl Marx. All of feminism is nested within this perspective Critical Theory- Everything is power structures and they all need to be torn down. Rather cult-like Intersectionalit…

Given his previous tweeting about distrust in the media and Musk's obvious intelligence, my guess is that his intention goes beyond simple right wing/republican politics or men's rights agenda. Since Elon usually follows up & clarifies his tweets, but he didn't do so with this one, this further leads me to think he is venturing into deeper waters here.

Psychologists like Robert Moore and Douglas Gillette. Do: Exercise, meditation, martial arts. And always get out in nature. Forests, deserts, lakes, ocean. Fuck the socio-cultural script. There's a vast difference between "hating" someone for being a sex worker and not wanting to date a sex worker. Having standards isn't hate.

Ancient wisdom permeates throughout all world religions. From the Christian Bible, Ecclesiastes 7:28: while I was still searching but not finding— I found one upright man among a thousand, but not one upright woman among them all.

Awesome, thanks for the reply! I'm on there & currently joined to the guilds MGTOW and WatchRedditDie. One more question: Have the Ruqqus devs considered outreach to the subreddits currently under quarantine? The beauty of reddit is its variety. Subreddits like /TheRedPill defecting to trp.red and /The_Donald defecting to thedonald.win seems unfortunate to me. It would be better if they could all migrate to anther platform like Ruqqus.

If you're up to answering questions about Ruqqus, I'm curious who owns it? Does it have the commitment to free speech that reddit did when it was started? What is the plan to keep Ruqqus from going the way of Digg/Reddit/etc. once it gets big enough for corporate interests to take notice?

Men will never form anything resembling a "hive mind". We don't have the in-group bias women have. The closest thing to a hive mind for men is the military, and they have to spend months drilling that into men's psyche.

Being a cattle rancher, you've probably not spent enough time on the internet to be familiar with the acronym MGTOW. Despite never encountering this term, you've come to the same conclusion on your own that MGTOW men have. Simply put, the cost-benefit analysis on marriage in this day and age doesn't make sense. The risks far outweigh the rewards. My great-grandfather's generation was the last to pass on the age old wisdom to their sons: "There's two kinds of women. The fun kind, and the marrying…

Pre nup Hardly worth the paper they're written on. Its becoming more and more common for judges to throw out prenups if they deem the asset division to be unfair to the woman. Or why not just have a wedding without a marriage certificate? Bad idea if OP lives in a common law state. The government will treat the couple as though they are married even if they never signed a marriage license.
/r/MensRights12/02/20 09:02 PM

Wasnt it always this way? No. About 50 years ago No-Fault Divorce became the law across the country. Previously, if the wife got bored and wanted out of the marriage she got very little or nothing unless she could demonstrate to the courts that the divorce was the husband's fault. (He cheated, he was abusive, etc.)

I have strong doubts about the girlfriend being "forced" into that situation. If she really was, then she is the exceedingly rare exception to the rule. The overwhelming majority of single mothers are in that predicament because of their own poor life choices. Obviously we don't want single parent homes. just to play devil's advocate, paying money for things we enjoy should not be frowned upon. This is putting the cart before the horse a bit I think. This post and comment thread seems to be about becoming financially independent. When you are working towards that goal, restraining from costly indulgences is paramount. After financial independence has been achieved, then expensive enjoyables can come into the picture. But not before.

Guys, I think this female sex therapist just confirmed Alpha fucks/Beta bucks: Men who don’t manifest masculine presence are appealing relationship partners, but usually for reasons other than their sexual potential. Many women value men who are agreeable, flexible, and not threatening. They are terrific co-parents, respectful partners, and polite lovers: kind, and eager to please. Over time though, predictable, polite sex in long-term relationships becomes boring and, for many women, not worth …

"Having preferences" is not the same as "unrealistically high expectations". You've clearly never done your research. If you had, you would have seen the multiple studies by multiple dating sites that show men rate women on a bell curve while women rate 80-85% of men as "below average". The data clearly shows that women don't just "have preferences", women have "unrealistically high expectations".

Men, especially in IT, are meritocratic. Can you do the work? Good. Men aren't "welcomed" into IT. I'm sure there's men who aren't good at coding or whatever who "feel" like they are in a toxic work environment. But it's not because the work environment is toxic, it's because they write shit code that pisses off their coworkers. Yeah I agree. I think its ultimately a fool's errand to try to get women to "support" their man in times of vulnerability and weakness. I'm sure there's the occasional woman who can do it, and some of those even do do it. But most can't or won't. In my mind, the solution is to re-affirm the importance of male-only spaces. Only in the close-knit company of other men can a man reliably & safely be vulnerable.

I've seen both of Brene Brown's TED talks & I remember the part you are quoting from her second talk. She doesn't talk about women needing to do the "incredible work" necessary to not bludgeon the men in their lives with their own vulnerability. She doesn't explore what the "incredible work" might look like. And she certainly doesn't propose a…

The transition therapist has observed that James is not consistent, insistent, or persistent in the desire to become “Luna.” For example, a dossier filed with the Dallas court says that, under the skilled eyes of the therapist, the child was presented two pieces of paper, one with the word “James” and one wi…

How is it not objective? Does the article writer get the criteria wrong? Does the article writer get James' story wrong? Can you provide any source that disputes the facts of James' case as presented? Focusing on the source instead of the facts is ad hominem weak thinking. Trusting the New York Times is even weaker thinking.

Did you read the Federalist article linked in the OP? It goes into detail about the criteria for a gender dysphoria diagnosis and explains why James' case does not fit that criteria. This isn't about anyone being "against" trans people, it's about being against child abuse.

The more sources the better, and I agree that the chart on the wikipedia page isn't the best. However, keep in mind that the chart for mass shootings has a range from 1982 to 2018 and there's been significant demographic shifts in that time. The link below shows whites making up 79% of the population in 1980, 75% in 1990, and 69% in 2000. An average white percentage would need to be extracted to compare to the mass shooting statistics in order to do a real "apples to apples" comparison. http://w…

To determine if a particular race is over- or under-represented in mass shooting statistics, those numbers need to be compared to the population demographics. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Race_and_ethnicity_in_the_United_States A…

Not the person you're responding to but the way I read it 'self cleaning' means after you've dumped your load in the sex bot it takes itself to the bathroom & thoroughly cleans, sanitizes, & dries its orifices. Worst part about a fleshlight is the cleanup after. Now imagine instead of a fleshlight you can clean in the sink, its a 5ft tall, 90 pound mannequin. How do you clean that? Answer: You don't. You wait for the technology to advance to the point robo-ho can clean herself.

Thanks for the reply. So the scripture specifies that God commanded Abraham, but it's the Talmud that interprets that command as applying to all Jews. Is that an accurate understanding? My hope is that there is some compromise that can be reached here. Is the Talmud amendable or able to be "re-interpreted" at all? From the beginnings of Christianity up until the 1500s the doctrine was that any borrowing or loaning of money at interest was a sin (Usery). Then, in the 1500s, the doctrine was "re-i…

Wasn't Abraham like 90 when he got circumcised? Does the covenant explicitly require it be done to infants? Can you show that requirement to me in scripture? Why not circumcise the boy as part of the ritual of the bar mitzvah? The original topic is about child support, which is a legal topic. Sure, but it isn't only a legal topic. It's also a socio-economic topic. It's also a moral topic. One commenter called the COLA increase extortion, which is a crime (typically a felony). Sure, but it isn't only a crime. The criminal code is not the only document that defines extortion. The legal definition is what takes precedence. You are the only person in the thread who believes this.

The general education environment nowadays completely disregards the fundamental male dynamic of pushing boundaries within the immediate social circle and developing an understanding of ones own capacity physically and mentally though challenging behaviour. We live in a society now that actively challenges and suppresses men at their most vulnerable stages, for what goal I don't know... John Taylor Gatto quit teaching to research the answer to this question. He's had strokes so he's kinda diffic…

Oooohhh boy. Short answer: Yes. Long answer: In America, Liberal tends to be associated with the Democrat party whose policies are some kind of mash-up of Keynesian "keep smashing windows" economics, neo-marxist wealth redistribution (ever-expanding nanny states), and a multi-culturalist hatred for all of the good things Western traditions have brought about. The classical liberal idea of the sovereignty of the individual as the building block of society has been replaced with a pernicious colle…

It will simply make it a bit less unfair.

what can i do to complete my education in what it means to be a man, I've been getting into Jordan Peterson's work lately. At the risk of oversimplifying his work I would say that "what it means to be a man" is to be someone who continually lives out the Hero's Journey. He who straddles the border between order and chaos and does so in such a way that leads him upwards through the dominance/competence hierarchies. The point here is that "what it means to be a man" is not an education to complete…

Fathers of previous generations used to tell their sons that there are two kinds of women: the fun kind and the marrying kind. When society had cultural guardrails up to keep women's hypergamous impulses in check, a decent amount (maybe 20-25%) of women turned out to be "the marrying kind". In the past 50-60 years those guardrails have been systematically torn down. Without those guardrails, virtually none of the women today are "the marrying kind". Left to their own devices women have pretty mu…

Women in general are horrible at raising sons. Single mothers especially. It was a horrid day when I came to the sad realization that my own mother was never really "on my side". She was on the side of society that wanted me to conform and obey. She was on the side of the hypothetical woman that I would eventually end up enslaved to by marriage. By and large, our mothers are not our friends. Our mothers are not our allies. Our mothers are AWALT.

The headlines blur, but they invariably seem to feature men whom the media informs us felt lonely or powerless. Aaaaand she just breezes by this line as though there's absolutely nothing to unpack there. Tragically, by raising her son to be "sweet", she is dooming him to a future of loneliness and powerlessness. I'm sure she'll be the kind of mother who is on board with prescribing her son ritalin or whatever pharmacological concoction has replaced it, at age 6, so that he will be "sweet" at sch…

Over on /movies in one of the threads about BR2049 I saw this bitch complaining about the "threesome" sex scene being from the man's perspective. Apparently it was "patriarchal" or some shit that the scene didn't explore things from either of the women's perspective. Reading that comment bumped the film up a notch for me.

Good post. A black man and a white man have far more in common in today's society than a white man & woman or a black man & woman. One common trope SJWs harp on is the racial sentencing gap, where a black person gets a longer prison term than a white person for the same crime. While there is a racial sentencing gap, research shows that the gender sentencing gap is six times as large as the racial gap.

A bit of a Tolkien fan here. I don't remember the book ever specifying a gender for Smaug, but I always assumed it was a male. Tolkien himself had a rather severe case of Oneitis for Edith, his wife. He had a tendency to pedestalize & romanticize women. Aragorn & Arwen (mortal, flawed man & immortal, perfect woman) echo the tale of Beren & Luthien (also mortal, flawed man & immortal, perfect woman) from earlier in the Middle Earth lore. John's tombstone also bears the name "Beren" and Edith's to…

It's not as if what constitutes sexual harassment is some deep, dark secret. There is no shortage of information explaining and defining sexual harassment and assault. This is the biggest lie in the whole article. Sexual harassment is not well defined. The feminist objection is that sex can become non-consensual in the act. For example, both participants have agreed to vaginal penetration but explicitly stated anal penetration is off the table. Anus gets penetrated anyway. That's not cool. So a consent app needs to have a post-encounter confirmation that the activities engaged in were consensual. That should address the issues feminists have with the idea of a Consent App while also eliminating this issue of deciding months or years later the …

I was also surprised they made it this long considering they've allowed women troop leaders since '88. The feminist imperative seems to be to prevent boys from developing healthy masculinity and being initiated into manhood. I guess that was still happening in a few small corners of the scouts so the full invasion was necessary.

That full conversation was great. I love the part where Peterson talks about how there is a positive & negative masculine and a positive & negative feminine in the world's mythologies/archetypes. Our current western feminist worldview denies the existence of the positive masculine and the negative feminine. Too often I see MGTOW focusing on the negative feminine archetype. I wish we'd focus more on developing the positive masculine within ourselves.

It is because women’s reasoning powers are weaker that they show more sympathy for the unfortunate than men, and consequently take a kindlier interest in them. On the other hand, women are inferior to men in matters of justice, honesty, and conscientiousness. I'm going to take issue here. In Iron John, author Robert Bly explains the mythological significance of hair. Hair represents wildness, and the savage side of masculinity. Modern society wants tame, emasculated men. Part of the strategy for accomplishing that is through forced compliance with a litany of meaningless rules including hair length. Prior to the modern era there were always shamans/witch doctors/"wild men"/etc. Individual men who lived off in the woods away from the tribe. One of the many failings of our current society is that mothers are no longer taught how to let go and let their boys be men. There is a beautiful tradition I read about among some primitive tribe in central/south America. The other men of the tribe take the boy off into the forest for his initiation into manhood. When they return, the mother pretends to not know the boy-now-man and asks the other men to "introduce her to the young man who has joined their tribe". Of all of the traditions I've r…

In the documentary The Red Pill, Cassie Jaye speaks with one of those original feminists over in the UK. I think she opened the first women's shelter or something. Anyway, she talks about early feminism being a part of the broader leftist, anti-capitalism movement. Then the Duluth Wheel came along and replaced "capitalists" or "bourgeoisie" with "men" and "patriarchy" as the big bad enemy. When she didn't follow along she was "excommunicated" from feminism.

Asian countries are far more collectivistic than countries in the west. From the enlightenment through the industrial revolution, the west prospered because of Individualism. Since the west has succumbed to Collectivism it is in decline. As for Asian women being "better behaved", that's a product of their collectivism reinforcing traditional gender roles. Both men and women are to an extent robbed of their humanity, their individualism. The shell that remains is a chess-piece of the collective. …

The conservative right doesn't give any more of a shit about men than the feminists do. They want to use and exploit men differently than the feminist left, that's all.

Cute, but MGTOW is no place for trad-cuck 'god emperor' worshipers. We share a mutual disdain for the cancer that is feminism, and little else.

She's right that modern culture has put science on a pedestal and more or less elevated scientist to the new de facto priest class. Of course she mistakenly makes this a gender issue because she chooses to see everything through the lens of feminism and patriarchy theory. Its not a gender issue, its a philosophical issue. Take your literature degree and go read some Karl Popper.

Spring break is in March/April. You're posting this at the end of June. I call bullshit. What's the most healthy, MGTOW way to handle this situation??? Get back in touch with reality. Women are hypergamous. Stop hamstering the "there is still a lot of good left in her" BS and understand her and her slutty friends are going to slut it up. Miami is quickly becoming the new porn capital since LA/Cali legislated condom use. Don't be surprised if you see your girlfriend on Pornhub next year.

Or is the general believe that there are such women, only that it could turn out that even this women might feel entiteld to your gain (material and emotional), and therefore it is better to avoid commiting your gains to any women? This. Does modern society/culture encourage/reinforce the values that make a woman a good partner? No Does the government make marriage a beneficial institution or an exploitative one? Exploitative Even if you find a unicorn NAWALT, everything around her is bombarding…

When the broader society's Overton window is skewed so far to misandry and gynocentricity, facts and reality are regarded as "misogynist". If you live in reality, you are "misogynist". If you acknowledge truth, you are "misogynist".

Does his injury deny him the use of his mouth? If not he can still provide oral sex. Does his injury deny him the use of both of his hands? If not he can still finger her/use a dildo on her. Instead of seeing his injury as an opportunity to explore creative ways they can enjoy being sexual together, she sees it as a way to exploit him into letting her get back on the cock carousel guilt-free.

We are all of the evil, hypocritical adjectives you apply to us and more. Demean us. Criticize us. Hate us. Ultimately, your opinion is of no consequence. You got it man. I took a sociology class (Social Problems) when I was in college too. That shit was laughable. I kept my head down for most of the class, regurgitated the textbook's BS on the tests, etc. But my final paper was titled: "Sociology as a Social Problem" wherein I ripped apart all of the classes propaganda. Paper got a C, Final grade in the class an A, but the teacher knows she got an F on brainwashing me.

I love it. I bought my first kayak last saturday, took it out on the lake sunday for just over 2 hrs & I love it. I've got some shopping to do tonight after work & have to mow the yard at some point this weekend but I'll be out on the lake again at least one day this weekend, hopefully both.

If you learned something, it wasn't a waste of time. You learned that college is filled with man-hating propaganda masquerading as legitimate coursework under the umbrella of "sociology" or "gender studies". You learned how statistics can and will be manipulated to present the predetermined conclusion of the statistician. You learned how men and masculinity are under constant assault in western society.

Read this post. That is what you are asking for. You are saying you feel as though you need to pour out your heart & soul for a woman, do everything for her, & when you have nothing left to give watch her monkeybranch to another guy leaving you with nothing, not even a thank you; all to "satiate your curiosity". Some people are able to learn from the mistakes of others. Some have to make the mistake themselves. You get to decide which kind of person you are.

I'm speaking from experience. Its best to feel all the real emotions so they go away faster. Seconding this. So much of our society is wrapped up in keeping us from looking inward, facing our shit, and dealing with it. "Get drunk, get high, fuck some other chick" mentality is a part of that.

I agree with the overall premise of your post and this comment, but maybe do a bit of research about Robin Williams. He had a disease that was destroying his brain. Imagine being trapped in your body, aware that your mind is fading. Each passing day you can think less, remember less. He could spend another year or two becoming a vegetable or off himself while he still had the faculties to do so. Cutting off the ex-wives might have been an ancillary motivation but his main motivation was escaping…

Do you not at all believe in love. There's already a bunch of responses along the lines of "love is just a chemical in the brain to make us reproduce". I won't rehash that although it is in a sense true. But more broadly speaking I do "believe" in love. I think human pair bonding, "love" if you will, carries with it a host of benefits emotionally and psychologically for the individuals who "love" each other. And I think there are benefits to the culture or society that encourages this kind of pa…

Oh okay, I'm following along now. So, while texting with the guy she sends him a seductive picture, even though she says there's nothing going on but planning the hike? Sounds about right. To her, he is a potential beta-orbiter. She can tempt him with the possibility of sex or dating in order to get as much out of him as she can. The article itself is little more than excerpts from a book trying to be a click-worthy article. But, it was all worth it for the author's excellent comment in the comment section: The graphic is supposed to show what happens when men stop marrying. Since there are more single women when stop marrying, and since single women vote overwhelmingly Democrat, it means that the country turns left. Single women see the government as a husband substitute – all the providing with none of the moral and sp…
