I've seen and taken the political compass. The fact remains that most of what passes for the "right" is primarily concerned with ethnicity. That's why every supposed "libertarian" turned into a Trump supporter as soon as he announced the "wall." At -41 and counting, no one has yet answered my question. As strange as it sounds, I think my OP may have been right: on average, Muslim women may have more rights than western men; however they are also (on average) subject to harsh cultural restrictions. I guess we tend to zero in on the suffering of females and brush aside the suffering of males.
