My dog has interest only in getting from point A to B, excluding the sniffing of everything and the frolicking at point B. She has growled at passerbys twice in her near-eight years, when I have been speaking with someone and not seen the new person coming, and both times was pressed into my leg as if trying to coil around it like a snake. She also presses into my leg or runs to my other side if something barks at her. She has had more untaken chances to bite than days alive and no taken chances…
