If you are sorting things into 2 piles; a good pile, a broken pile. You throw away the broken things and keep the good things. "good sort" = desirable/"A keeper" "Stood down" = suspended

There is still a stigma towards women with anorexia too, though; changing the name isn't going to solve that.
