lol there’s nothing special about programming. Just do it and learn a little bit at a time. The most important lesson is learning how to find answers, which means going to a search engine. Web extensions are JavaScript snippets you run on a page. Website stuff is split into front-end (stuff you make your browser do), back-end (stuff you make your server do), devops (the setup connecting everything together). All that uses multiple languages, so you’ll want to start simple and work up— HTML, CSS,…

Pick up some hobbies and/or things you’d like to be good at. Start exercising and eating healthy if you aren’t already. Drop your social media habits if you have any. Clear out your debts if you have any.

It’s a simple map. There’s nothing special about it. I can’t tell from the blurry image, but it looks like she uses “ReaCt.Component, even though she imported React as “React”. Which will throw an error. Also she’s not even using component lifecycles, so this is better off as a functional component. So, high school-level, maybe?

Fuck, it‘ll be horrible for me. NYC gun permits take at least half a year to acquire. If the NYPD go, ghetto thugs will spread out and rule the city. I wouldn’t want to be in the subway with those guys.

I remember watching the testimony of an abortion surgeon. He described it as pumping the womb with some kind of chemical and then plucking baby parts away with medical tongs. It sounded pretty disgusting so I’m not interested in revisiting that clip. So the baby should be pretty dead.

Fine. Working from home, following the same usual schedule. Actually I’ve been WFH since March 10th, when I first heard some guy at the building I work at had gotten sick.

Haha, yeah. My response came mostly from the cringing. I get that he meant well (as group encouragement and solidarity) but it also came off as LARPish. I hope no one takes offense.

No, my life’s been pretty swell so far. Sure, no GF or whatnot, but I’ve got a career that I enjoy with people who are pretty cool, some savings, retirement, and a nice life at home with the folks. Since my family grew up poor, there’s a lot of games and things I want that now I can work towards getting for myself, and hobbies that I can try out. And I’m gonna try getting a raise in a few months.

No, see if everyone is a king then nobody is. Kings require a hierarchy for them to be relevant. If everyone is a king then they’re all on an equal rank, making the point moot. They’re also required to marry and have an heir so that their lineage continues, which is the opposite of what we want. And since their power came from social machinations (feudalism) they have a very strong interest in maintaining social dynamics. So even as a metaphor, it’s pathetic. “King” has been used so many times a…

This, actually. Back when I was still in college, no one raised their hand to answer the professor’s questions. I felt sorry for them, so I did.

“Constantly don’t feel depressed” — if being depressed is your default, then figure out why first. Ideally you can fix that so you don’t feel the need for other people to validate you. Most of my college life I was by myself; the most social thing I did was talk to classmates (friendships of convenience) and post on online forums. Basically I read a lot. I learned how to write better during that time. Between your choices, maybe row team? Neither choice means you’ll meet guys who won’t screw you…

24/25 Y.O. I’m guessing? Damn... shouldn’t have to deal with this so young. I’m not sure what your living situation was beforehand, but, if your wife was the primary provider, you need to figure out your funds. Cut/mitigate costs and start finding local job opportunities; you’re effectively a single dad now and you don’t have the luxury of choice when it comes to work. It might be tough depending on what’s available, but this is one of those hard choices you’ll need to make as you need to provid…

Your options are [to break up with her] and [to stay with her]. Both are difficult but the first will be better for you long-term. I think the reasons are obvious: you have been betrayed, the one you love does not respect you, and she will do this again. You need to remove her from your life in all aspects, and then spend some time figuring out what you want out of your time on Earth. I say take a year or two considering this; answers that involve other people do not count. You must function suc…

Status. White guys are most popular race for women to date. Asian women are most popular for men to date. Rankings for others vary; generally black or Asian men are least popular alongside black women. Link

I visit this subreddit to browse... also to lend some advice to those around my age. I’ve got a few accounts and this one I made recently for MGTOW specifically. It’s really sad that some guys have to come to a place like this for advice about their future.

I haven’t watched or looked at this show, but typically this depends on who the audience is supposed to focus on. If King Philip was killed, I wouldn’t put weight on him being the character you’re supposed to sympathize with. It’s possible the Chad is the one you’re supposed to cheer on. I say this, because it’s immensely popular for romance stories involving affairs to paint the woman having the affair to be “in the right.” This is because the target audience of those stories is women, and it f…

I didn’t want to attend my graduation either. My folks really wanted some photos for the occasion though so I went to the main ceremony and skipped the ceremony for my department. What’s really important is if you have work lined up for you afterwards.

Not the weekend but for the next couple weeks: waiting on the parts I ordered to upgrade my computer. CPU was 40+% off, SSD 30%. Most other parts were 10-15% off. Once that’s done I can finally try some games I couldn’t run.

It’s hilarious because the normal guy is literally the only type of man being excluded.

The label has gotten bad press. Since MGTOW is clumped together with incel and red pill, it’s become another buzzword that gets thrown around. Eskimos have many words for “snow” because they can see differences in snow behavior; on the same vein, MGTOW is different from the aforementioned groups, but others just categorize it together. It doesn’t help that a lot of MGTOW don’t present themselves as reputable (online). You see lots of “lol these wahmen” and “THE WALL IS UNDEFEATED” and “these stu…
