I think it's probably more about how men and women process their emotions. Men, whether pushed that way by expectations or just because they prefer it, tend to deal with their problems and their emotions on their own. I mean, I get the point you're trying to make, but they're legally different (at least in the U.K.) You don't "consent" to driving while drunk. Drunk driving is a strict liability -- you don't need to be aware that you're drunk to fall foul of the law, because it is an expectation that you do it safely and it is your negligence if you don't. Yeah they poured a lot into trying to get it sorted but an attorney in my family told them they don't have much hope and should just save their money. We know that she married him for what money he had, and unfortunately even when the wife dies they won't receive their father's possessions. She already has her own children from a previous marriage and has left everything to them. It's just scummy.

In a lot of cases such procedure would be a major hassle, unless all companies requiring contract signing were required to hire their own internal notary. I love how it's not their responsibility to verify the signature. They'll happily perform the procedure so long as the form is signed, but it's not their responsibility to check it was signed by the right person.

I didn't really interpret it that way. I saw it more as giving Serena babyish features to emphasise how immature her behaviour was, and taking Osaka out of the focus of the cartoon to represent how Williams stole the limelight (how much have you heard about Williams' tantrum vs Osaka's smashing victory?). It's all up to the reader's personal interpretation of course but I personally don't see it as a racial thing.

Exactly. In fact you can tell how seriously they take it because they're willing to imprison innocent people based on one woman's word. There's no excuse for not reporting a crime. I'm not saying it's their fault it happened, but if they neglect to report it it's their fault their assailant was never caught, and possibly their fault other women will be assaulted in the future.

I had a conversation with a few women about your second paragraph. Everyone thought I had no compassion and it's just not that simple. I don't understand it. It's like not reporting a burglary and expecting to catch the criminal a year later when you mention it on Twitter. How do you expect to catch your assailant if you're not willing to report them or provide any evidence against them? Any convictions based on the victim's "good word and character" are a fucking insult to the justice system.

I get your point, but the origin of the term comes from when men legitimately did have a societal advantage over women, e.g. suffrage. The definition of feminism is about bringing women's rights forward so that they become equal to those of men. This isn't entirely true. I'm male and a feminist -- I believe men and women should have equal rights. In everything. You seem to be referring the militant, SJW-brand of "feminism" where every problem is blamed on a bias towards men and the solution is to reverse the bias and make women have more rights than men. Can you imagine the shitstorm that would have followed had that been a man? I could see bouncers, other fans dragging him off the stage, most likely an eventual arrest. Yet somehow, after this incident, I feel that a man will challenge this. Look out for a man deciding to do the same with Katy Perry at some point. I'm sure we'll see it on the 6 o'clock news.
