The thing is I enjoy a lot of the social studies because a) I'm a huge history dork and b) even if I think it's nonsense or silly, any course to do with society will help me understand how a segment of the population thinks, and at the very least I'll get to rustle some feathers being real as fuck. Thought: Increased access to healthcare = increased access to dietary and fitness education. These are actually the first programs to show up usually. I don't know about this necessarily. I have often dismal self-confidence but I'm always happy to see somebody succeed. It's just never made any sense to me to deride a friends' successes when 1) They are my friend and I'm supposed to be supportive, 2) Their increased success means somewhere down the road they might have a job/valuable advice for me to sort my own life out 3) If I someday make it to success, I'd want them to be happy for me.
