Wanted to add to this. Even if your girl SAYS she likes guys who aren't too muscular, skinny, pale, Korean boy band type- this principle still applies. What those baby-faced idols lack in muscles, they more than make up for in looks, social stature, money, talent, and IDGAF attitude. Even then they are in extremely lean shape. It doesn't matter what a woman says. They can be into the whole dad-bod thing. They can whine about "You're too stern, you're too masculine, you're not soft or feminine en…

Agree. Always maintain frame. Keep quiet. Firm handshake and direct eye contact. No one likes an overly nice guy. You'll fall out of the circle even within your guy group if you offer services without people earning them. Learned this the hard way and am still teaching myself to hold my tongue. Personal restraint and discipline goes a long way.

Its called the "Door in the face" effect. If you're going to self-proclaim yourself as the TRP psych/marketing guy, at least make an effort to be credible.

Glad I'm not the only one that thinks so. I'm not 30 yet but I've come to the realization that even if I do get to 30, I'm still at a higher value than most women 30 or younger. The wall is always impending doom for them. Men? Not so much. I could come out of professional health school at the tender age of 40 and still not worry about landing a plate.

No prob. Its not oneitis. Thinking in RP termonology was something I had to stray away from to help me think in more simplistic/efficient ways without overthinking everything in terms of RP. To me it was this: I may think she's the best thing that's ever happened to me before, but I CANNOT DENY that she has flaws, and that there are other women out there who are slightly better at other aspects than the ones she has. Think of it that way instead of kicking yourself over being a BP oneitis staged…

Thank you. I've still got a long way to go and probably a lot more challenges ahead that I havn't even thought of. Just thought people like you could use this.

Agreed. I still havn't come completely to grips with my enthusiastically religious upbringing. There are pros and cons. To be RP to the bone means to be amoral (completely agree with) but I like the moral adjustments that come with my religion and how they helped me through some really bad times when nothing else could. Devoting 100% of myself to the religion however is beyond me.

Thank you. I'm trying to maintain what I have right now. A year from now hopefully I'll have made improvements big or small.

Agreed. I used to be the guy that acted like the perfect girl would come along and invest in me if I just sat here and did my own thing. It doesn't work like that. I had to learn how to focus on my studies and how to lift properly, how to block out all the nice tail at the gym to focus on my exercises. At that point, even if girls did approach us, we'd be able to call them out on their bullsht. Its so easy figuring girls out. They're easy to read but think they're entitled to a high value male w…

Thank you. I still have farther to go. All of this really did happen (and yes I guess I am showing off my accomplishments) but there's still a lot about myself I want and need to work on.

Same. The anger was both a good and bad thing. Good in a sense that it pushed me to be better. Bad in a sense that it warped my perception of women and limited my game. Instead of adapting to situations and being open to new experiences, I was being a bitter little dick. Letting go of the anger was the biggest part of moving on.

You can do it. I dated this girl thinking I'd marry her. Made plans to. Even brought her home to the family. Receiving the burning heap of sht that was the end result of that wasn't fun. Didn't think I could do better either and gave up on it for a bit. But the more you keep yourself busy and the more you improve yourself, all of a sudden you forget why you were so bummed about it in the first place because you're having so much fun being the best you can be.

More power to you. I'm actually 3-4 years behind career track wise. Still making steps to get there.

Had to face this one. It was hard at first. But the more I sit on my ass thinking she'll just walk up to me and we'll end up happily married, the more time I'm wasting on experiencing other things such as advancements in my studies and career.

Understood. I reformatted. Put the summary/TL;DR in one sentence on top, followed by body of text and lessons learned. Anything else I need to fix?

Yeah. Again this was my first time approaching a stranger. I have lots of girls in my social circle who I know wouldn't mind dating me. IOI all over the place. Always hanging around me, smiling, kino, asking when I'm free. Stuff like that. This one I could tell wasn't all that interested. I went through with it just to see what would happen and get something from it. That and I couldn't stand the fact that I'd regret it if i didn't just man the fck up and do something lol

No idea. Someone help this man out. I'm not very good at finding material. One thing that's helped me is to notice details about the person you're talking to. What is she wearing? What kind of friends does she hang out with? How does she carry herself? Does she have rough hands or smooth hands? Are her nails done? Does she carry a no bs attitude or is she easily flattered by compliments? Stuff like that then fine tune your conversation/tone to it.

Understood. I knew my opening was generic. No idea why I didn't think of anything else, just seemed like she was absorbed in the game. Could tell she was bored so I went with it. Also I didn't face her directly in the opening. I was facing the same direction she was and asked her. I will however try to do this more often next time. And yes, I didn't know about mirroring at all. Will definitely put this into practice. Me backing off was on instinct. I walked away like 2 more steps and she was sti…

It didn't feel like I hit it off. I was actually surprised she kept the convo going and didn't shut me down earlier. I have huge self esteem issues so I was expecting a shutdown right after the first question but when I followed up she responded and actually stayed and talked. No IOI whatsoever. Nothing special and like the top comment said overall result I didn't get anywhere. Sad day but gonna keep lifting.

Thanks guys. I've never really approached women on a consistent basis enough to be comfortable, especially when its strangers. Friend of a friend I have absolutely no problem with but stuff like this was completely new to me. Will continue to talk to more women.

Lots of good points in here. And yes you are right, I'm still in semi monk mode. This was my first time and it wasn't all that great. I still have a lot to improve on. She might not have been enthusiastic but she stuck around even when I was trying to leave, so I take that as a miniscule level of interest. The hardest part for me personally was gauging her interest. She made eye contact the whole time and didnt seem annoyed but she wasnt smiling or nervous (fidgety hands feet). She held the conv…

Great point. Really didn't think about this. Kind of a spur of the moment thing. University gym. Don't know if that changes the context.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
