Literally myself and every single one of my girl friends cared about potential. I never even considered dating a guy who wasn’t doing well academically; and both my exes (who I dated at 18 and 21) were in engineering and law programs. I think you are massively underestimating earning potential.

That is impossible. When there is a law, there is enforcement, and hijab laws have not changed yet.

First one. Being in a long term relationship it is pretty normal to have fantasies about other people from time to time. Mind is a free place and all kinds of desires and thoughts can pass. What shows someone’s commitment and how they respect you is their ACTIONS. If he put a lid on those fantasies and never stepped out, he is a loyal man, and THAT’s what I value most.

Exactly as I described. Someone who is a match with me personality wise and we care about each other; but there is no sexual attraction between us. I don’t date my friends though.

The answer to your bold question: that’s exactly what they would be, my FRIEND. I love their personality and we click really well but there is no sexua attraction = friendship. We don’t click that much but there IS sexual attraction = hook up/ FWB We click well and our personalities match well AND we have sexual attraction = relationship BOTH personality and sexual attraction are required for a good relationship in my opinion.

For me personally, visual attraction is REQUIRED but not SUFFICIENT for attraction. If a guy is NOT physically attractive to me, nothing else matters. We can be friends but thats that. Because physical attraction is required. But if a guy IS physically attractive, I MIGHT be attracted to him. There are many guys I find visually very attractive but I don’t feel any attractions toward. It’s not sufficient, I still need to be charmed by them lol (voice, smell, charisma, personality…. All those othe…

Isn’t that exactly same as friend zone? Fess up your feelings, if it’s not reciprocated move on. But men purposely lead on and give a lot more romantic material to keep that person hooked.

25-30 I’d be a bit wary. After that it’d be actually weird.

I personally don’t mind; what’s in his spank bank is his business (of course there are exceptions like if it’s a person he knows IRL). But if a guy tries to creat a double standard around it then that’s a deal breaker for me. What’s fair to one is fair to all. I personally prefer erotica but when I watch porn it’s male-centric, I’m not turned on by other women.

Woman here. If I find someone attractive enough to fuck, he is attractive enough to date. What distinguishes hook up vs relationship is our compatibility outside of bed. If Im not attracted to someone I won’t hook up with them, it’s basically a 0-1 binary system. Anyways, I estimate I find 5-10% of men hot enough for either.

I think this scenario only applies when she is not in love with him. If she only got with him because “well he’s basically great on paper and gives me everything I want so might as well date him” then the moment that that statement is not true, and he is a less than perfect boyfriend, then it’s ground for break up. Not to mention “something” always felt missing anyways so she’s not too devastated to leave. As a girl, I can tell you when a girl is in love, she only leaves when truly there is no o…

Lolll I saw Renata Ri was rated 5,6,7 by everyone on a subreddit… I literally thought she was the most beautiful girl on tiktok. Like, have these people seen normal humans in real life?

It’s too harsh to just say : sorry I don’t like you and never wanna see you again- especially when you guys are already friends/ were becoming friends. Saying “I just see you as a friend” is just the polite thing to say and let the ball in their court, so they can determine the parameters of what extent- if any- they want to stay in contact knowing dating is off table.

Uhhh guys do that all the time. I don’t know what you mean by “stringing along” when she has already closed the door on any possible future romance. If they take the friendship to change her mind and get hurt because she didn’t change her mind, it’s completely on them.

I think intentional friend zone can go other way around: when you are super clear that you don’t wanna date someone and like them platonically, they agree to friendship just to try to change your mind. And get mad and feel used when you don’t change your mind.

Never. Personally I’m in the group of “instant attraction”. If I don’t feel it right away it’s a no for me.

I would say be willing to listen and show empathy towards other groups of people’s problems and not just your owns. (Other gender’s, races, sexualities, etc). A lot of people have a “we have it worst” mentality without ever trying to genuinely understand others experiences. It’s not a competition, there is enough problems go around for everyone. Also, being misogynistic or misandrist is a red flag for most people of opposite gender. No one wants to date someone who hates their entire group of pe…

Exactly. That’s why I said anyone with any number of options can leave. It includes 0 options. There is never a guarantee that anyone will stay, and a part of being in a relationship is knowing that, and knowing that it won’t be the end if the world if they do.

To an extent. But I think it more so brought down the value of money and job in men. Whereas before women NEEDED financial support from men, and they had to compromise on all else (attraction, personality, loyalty, etc) for financial stability, that is not the case anymore. In the past, a man who offered nothing other than financial stability could get away with almost anything, but now women are not so dependent so that isn’t the case anymore. So now the main thing that men brought to the table…

I have options too. I rather a guy who has options, and CAN leave, over a guy who just stays with me because of lack of options. Point is to CHOOSE to stay with someone. And anyone with any number of options can leave. It’ll suck but it’s not the end of the world. I still rather have someone eho has options and chooses me.

I have never orgasmed with a partner (I’ve been in 2 relationships). And it takes me ~2-3 hours to reach there when I’m masturbating.

For me personally, ick is a person, not a behaviour. If a guy I’m really attracted to trips over their untied shoe or does something cringy, that just makes them more endearing to me; and their imperfections make them more human to me. If a guy I’m not into does same cringy stuff, I feel a bit repulsed and get the ick. Especially if it’s someone I’m not into that I’m forcing myself to be into (he checks boxes on paper) or someone who is trying to get with me but I’m not into. That makes the ick …

Maybe. I don’t think most times people walk away from someone they are attracted to over over a minor flaw though, but rather they saw something that in their minds is a sign of incompatibility and the likelihood of relationship working out is low. I think a lot if guys ignore those signs in women and decide to just “play by ear and cross the bridge when we get to it”, whereas it’s not a great strategy for women.

I’m in my mid 20s; and I’m realizing if I want to have kids and family, I can’t afford many more failed relationships. Pretty much I have to find mr. right the next couple of years or else the window gets really slim. I get that no one wants to waste their time but time is a lot more valuable for women and being in the wrong relationship is more costly. Also, evolutionary speaking, mating is a lot more biologically expensive for women than it is for men; so it makes sense for us to be more picky…

Short answer: No. Long answer: No. I have actively tried. I have friends who fell in love with me who I knew if I could bring myself to date them, it’d last forever and they treat me like a goddess (I have been very close to them for years so I’m not just fantasizing) but I just couldn’t. Personally I know within minutes if Im attracted to someone or not, and while it is possible for me to LOSE attraction upon getting to know them, I can’t gain attraction if I didn’t feel it from get go. Even if…
