Of course they are. They openly value the lives of men and boys at a lower level than those of women and girls.

That's true, but the details don't really matter. When the left consistently pushes blatantly sexist policies like exonerating all young women from prison, that naturally causes a back lash amongst young men.

And we're surprised that young men are running to the right wing all across the Western world? How does anyone think this is okay?

Yeah I think female infidelity is a whole lot more common than we're led to believe.

When the alternative is a less stable world led by the likes of China and Russia, yeah it's pretty fucking bad. Idiot.

I mean there's a pretty massive pile of evidence that he has countless political and financial ties to Putin. He's almost certainly going to realign American foreign policy away from European Democracies, and toward autocracies, especially Russia. It's not just rhetoric, NATO is under serious threat. And it's been reported in the past weeks that our allies in the EU are considering severing existing intelligence sharing deals with the US, because they expect Trump to pass all their intel along t…

I mean Trump wants to move us away from Europe, potentially leave NATO, and cozy up to dictatorships like Russia. Seems pretty massively different than Biden and Obama, who both opposed Russia. Sorry man, but if you think Dems and the GOP are the same on foreign policy, you haven't been paying attention. Also Republicans have largely been worse for the economy this century, particularly in regard to the 2008 financial crisis. I admit, it's a matter of debate as to how much of the the Covid reces…

This is purely anecdotal and unscientific, but I can say that in my many years on Reddit I've seen hundreds, if not thousands of comments from women saying some version of "never approach us in public under any circumstances" (though oftentimes with the proviso that it's maybe okay if you're hot) I have no idea if that's representative of the common opinion among women today, but I can attest that I see comments like this a LOT.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/24 11:45 PM

Yeah in my experience the degree to which women care about politics is massively exaggerated. I'm a left wing democrat, I've voted blue in very election of my life, I even attended the women's March after Trump's inauguration in 2016. Despite the fact that I almost exclusively date liberal women, literally none of have ever cared about any of that in ten years of adult dating. Ironically enough, the only time a woman ever seemed to be attracted to me for my political beliefs was the one time I c…

Yep. Women, especially young women, consistently identify sexual attractiveness in men with quality of character and moral fiber. She'll bend over backwards making excuses for the fuckboi that pumps and dumps her. But the shy homely nerd who made a polite (albeit awkward) approach in the university library? Yeah, he's a creep and predator, and she's considering reporting him campus police for making her feel "unsafe." It's shocking how ignorant women are of their own natures.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/24 11:10 PM

Bernie is a true leftists, but he's kind of a unicorn. AOC started out with a similar platform, but she has largely abandoned that for a more typical neoliberal and social justice platform.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/24 10:57 PM

I mean, I'm a life long democrat and Harris voter and I agree with some of what OP said. He's being reductive, vengeful and close minded of course, as you would expect from a disaffected Trump voter, but that doesn't necessarily make him wrong. I've been a part of the "left" for my entire life, and I think it's absolutely absurd to pretend that left spaces haven't become increasingly intolerant to men's opinions and men's issue over the last decade. There is a very real problem with casual misan…

In the United States, secularism is literally enshrined in the constitution, separation of church and state is fairly intrinsic to who we are. Unless you're taking about social/societal secularism, in which case I'd be interested in hearing your argument. Personally, I'm an atheist, but I have long thought that many of social problems we face today (especially in our politics) are due in part to the decline of the American church.

Biden has been pretty pro-labor, but in general terms I agree. The democrats are usually far too conservative on most economic issues for my taste.

I'm basically in the same camp, the Dems lost me on social issues years ago. I do think they generally do a better job at managing the economy, foreign policy and the environment than the GOP does however. Not to mention how openly authoritarian the right has become lately.

For real. When did it become unreasonable for a man to want his partner to choose not to dress in provocative clothing and drunkenly grind her ass on strange men at the club? I can guarantee you that none of the women I've dated would have accepted that behavior from me, so why should I accept it in them?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/24 09:26 AM

Exactly. It's the "going out dancing" thing that really gets me. I mean how many women around here would honestly be okay with their man going out "with the boys" to the club every week, getting wasted, and dancing with other women? I bet it's not many. But for some reason if a man is uncomfortable with his girlfriend getting drunk/high and grinding her ass on other guys junk at the club then all of a sudden he's "controlling" and "insecure." It used to be that people understood the idea that dr…

Exactly, men are generally pretty honest about it when they date a woman for a reason other than (or even in spite of) her personality. Women are the ones who claim to only want good stable men, and then turn around and throw themselves at a Chad who treats her like trash, but they put up with it just because he's hot.

I haven't done speed dating myself, but I've spoken to men that have. Every time I've heard that the dynamics more or less perfectly match those of online dating. That is to say that the men meet a variety of women they find attractive and who they like to date. But on the other hand, that basically every woman in the place will only positively mark the same two or three "hot" guys that every other woman wanted as well, leaving the vast majority of averagish male participants to go home empty ha…

Yeah I am a left leaning man and I see left wing women call men incels all the fucking time, usually for pretty mild disagreements or for having some trouble with women. I'm a liberal, but I 1000% understand why men are fleeing from the democratic party in this country, considering how so many women on the left have made it abundantly clear that they absolutely fucking despise us, and because the left in general treats almost any attempt by men to bring attention to men's problems as misogyny.

This is a horrible perspective. When you write shit like this, you're basically telling men who read it that they should give up on dating and be lonely forever, because otherwise they risk potentially making women uncomfortable. We need to stop treating women like perfect fragile little flowers that will wilt if anything goes wrong. Women have agency too, and they're more than capable of saying "no" if someone makes an unwanted advance. As long as the guy accepts it gracefully and takes no for …

This has to be troll bait right? No one is so fucking delusional that they really think this is rude right? I mean the woman in the clip is just blatantly asking for it. He never would have mentioned her age if she hadn't brought it up first in such an obnoxious fashion. Maybe OP just looks old and this clip makes them feel self conscious?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/24 05:50 AM

Pretty much the same for me as well. I slept with one fat girl when I was like 23 or 24, just to lose my virginity, after that I was celibate all the way until last year when I was 29, when I basically just got lucky, and was able to hook up with three girls over the course of the year, including a couple who were pretty attractive. The last one was over a year ago now and I've had zero dating success since then, including a couple really painful ugly experiences. I've all but given up at this p…

"Single" women don't have the same lived experience as single men do. Women like OP might not have technically had a boyfriend, but if she ever got lonely or horny, attractive men were always just a few swipes away on tinder. Single men on the other hand will often times go years without experiencing a single intimate touch from someone outside their family (assuming they even have one) and will be painfully aware that it could take years before their next relationship opportunity presents itsel…

It's all relative. Women will put in work as long is the man is dramatically better looking than they are. That means for average and cute girls they'll only make an effort for Chad. However, as an average looking guy who takes decent care of himself, I've had heavy girls put in a big effort to try and keep me around. Fundamentally, women today only seem to really value man if he's way out of her league.

I got harassed and bullied a lot in school. I had exactly one case where a popular girl stepped in and spoke up for me. Most times they were completely apathetic, and oftentimes would join in on tormenting me.

This isn't true, I see women brag about being "the choosers" all the time. And they make it abundantly clear again and again, that men aren't worth their time unless they put in the work to improve themselves dramatically. They use different language, but it's fundamentally the exact same idea.

Eh, I'm not saying it's great or anything but it's like comparing stepping on a lego with getting your finger nail torn off. Like sure, both things are painful, but one hurts a helluva lot more than the other. An alarming number of women truly seem to lack capacity to imagine a situation from a man's perspective. I think they might not have the requisite theory of mind for objective thought. I just don't believe so many of them could be this dense otherwise.

I match with attractive women on Hinge a few times per month. I'm not ugly by any means, but I find that at my level of attractiveness/wealth it's not realistic to keep a good looking woman interested for long when that have 100's of other options to pick from, no matter how hard I try, even if they're superficially attracted at first.

There's a reason why societies historically have never given women these kinds of privileges before. Basically it just doesn't work. Civilizations only propagate themselves through reproduction, and our Western misandrist gynocentric societies are really bad at inducing people to make babies. Even when they do, it's disproportionately likely to be a single mom who got knocked up by Chad, rather than a happy successful family unit. I think it's basically inevitable that inside a hundred years the…

This is my experience as a 5'8 averagish looking white guy. Western women love to sneer about how foreign girls will only ever be interested in guys like us for money and a green card. Of course those are factors too, but beauty standards absolutely do vary globally, and colorism is VERY real. Girls in East Asia, Africa etc absolutely have a preference for fair skinned men, not sure if it's the legacy of colonialism, or just because they watch a lot of American movies but it's VERY real. This is a real thing. I've personally had discussions with women from places like Thailand who were absolutely furious at how Western women talked about them. The way they saw it, white women treated them like they were just poor desperate gold diggers with no agency of their own who only dated foreign men out of desperation. They fucking hated that narrative. And why shouldn't they? No one likes being put in a box, and why would anyone want to be judged by people from the other side of the plan…

As a man, I don't think I've ever met a man who was interested in Asian women because they're submissive. I know I sure as hell am not, I like Asians girls a lot, and one of my favorite things about them is that they tend to be highly opinionated.

This is me. I'm like a 6 (at least on a good day!) so I'm in this weird sexual no man's land where I can occasionally date above average attractiveness women, but because those women are mostly chasing 8's and 9's it's hard (impossible) to actually find a relationship with a woman in my looksmatch range. Of course far girls love me, and on the rare occasion that I date one they're always really into me. But I take decent care of myself so I don't want to be with someone who's unhealthy. The thin…

Right? Women are so intent on this idea that men just want to manipulate them for domestic labor... and that seems like total bullshit to me? I know that I sure as hell have never wanted a woman to cook and clean for me. And I can't recall a time when any of the men I've known have expressed a desire for such an arrangement either. I think it's just a straw man argument women like to use to make themselves feel oppressed, even though they know they aren't.

That's my experience. I would never dream of asking a woman to clean up for me, it's embarrassing! But I had a Thai girl stay with me for a few days last year, and when I came home from running some errands I found her on her hands and knees cleaning my bath tub lol Honestly I was mortified, and told her she could stop, but was happy to keep on doing it. She spent a lot of the rest of her stay with me doing laundry and tidying up my apartment. I told her she didn't have to, but after awhile I ju…

So true, I love my mom but she's one of the most sexist people I know. She spent my entire childhood (and for that matter, my entire adult life) saying how all men are stupid, and abusers etc, but if you tried to call her on it she's scream at you until you dropped the subject. And of course if you tried to talk to her about her own a suite behavior she'd just call you a misogynist. Even then, I still considered myself a feminist for a long time. That is, until I grew up and actually tried to da…

Isn't it amazing how seemingly the vast majority of women in the West chase the same handful of men who are out of their league, get treated badly by them (because of course they do) but they completely unaware of the dynamic they're participating in? It's like they're just wholly incapable of having enough introspection to evaluate their behavior and figure out what they're doing wrong. Either that or they're living in denial, and they actually prefer to get pumped and dumped by chads until the…

Most women consider it misogyny if you even dare to claim that feminism doesn't benefit men. But of course, then if you ask feminists what they're doing to support men's interests, then they'll just turn around and say feminism was never intended to help men. The double standards never end.

Exactly. Today's culture makes it obvious why women were never allowed to have equal freedoms in regard to working outside the home, having careers/earning an income, and in choosing their own relationships. Because to be blunt, a society such as our own where women have all those freedoms essentially ceases to function. Women's freedoms have created a situation where fewer and fewer people are choosing to start families and have children. That's a problem when one considers how does a society p…

I admit, I may have gotten a little carried away there. But you have to admit, that the phenomenon of supposedly "modern" feminist women expecting their partner to pay for everything despite the fact that she makes her own damn money is very real.

I think it's a little more nuanced than that. This is something I as a left wing man struggle with. I believe in a woman's right to choose, equality of the sexes etc. I don't want a "trad wife" I want a partner who I can build something with. So if both of us have jobs, then why is it that I'm expected to pay for every date, buy her gifts, hold the door for her etc. She's a career woman and she has her own money, but she sure as hell doesn't reciprocate any of my generosity. So if she's not meet…

My experience has been that those women are vanishingly rare these days. The exception is if you're one of the very few men with the looks or wealth to incentivize women into treating you properly. If you're a "catch" then she will put in the effort to keep you, but if you're just a normal average (or merely above average) she will act like she's doing you a favor just by spending any time with you at all, and otherwise treat you as disposable refuse to be cast aside at her convenience. Men are expected to be calm, confident, fun, spontaneous yet also stable, respectful but aggressive, and self assured when in the presence of the women we date. Literally 0% of people are "really" liked that, but unless you're exceptionally rich or handsome than putting on a show is the only way you'll ever get women to be interested in you. The alternative is being alone for your entire life, so of course men act like something they're not when they're courting a woman. Then what happens is aft…

Right? She's just saying "Women are cold manipulative, heartless bitches. Deal with it." I guess she's being honest, which is more than most women would be. Maybe my standards are to high , but I’d rather be single then with someone like that More and more this sums up how I feel. In my heart, I desperately want a fulfilling loving partnership that enriches my life. But my actual experience has been that the standards for women's behavior are so low these days that it just isn't worth it. It feels like you're just excusing the behavior of women who say heinous hurtful things to their partners because "girls are gonna be girls." Yep. I'm all those things and I'm far from ugly, but dating has still been practically impossible for me. Women will almost always deny that they have unreasonable standards but it just isn't true. The lived experience of millions of men of our generation is that you can be a good person will all kinds of conventionally positive traits, but that if you're not exceptionally good looking or exceptionally wealthy, women aren't going to give you a chance. Before I found this forum I spent some time in other more "red pill" oriented spaces because it seemed like those were the only places where men could talk about their issues. But I was very quickly repulsed by some of the grossly regressive and offensive opinions that many of the conservative men in those communities would vocalize. Why should I care about their problems when they don't care about mine? I do still believe in a woman's right to choose and of course I always vote Democrat, but I'd be lying if I said it was an issue that I'm really passionate about. Didn't work in my experience. The last woman I was with had a death in the family and I did a LOT of emotional labor for her to help her deal with that along with a number of other things. I thought that meant that we'd reached the point where it was safe for me to open up with her. So I shared some (pretty tame) concerns I had about the nature of our relationship and where it was heading. Women seem to have dozens of deal breakers, mostly over utterly meaningless minutia, and if you trip over even one of them she ghosts immediately and just disappears from your life. It just comes down to supply and demand. Men like me have very few options so I put in effort to make relationships work. Women have access to literally hundreds of options at all times, so I…

It's 100% damned if you, damned if you don't. They just want a reason to feel vindicated for dumping a man who loves and cherishes them. My experience with women has been that at the very beginning, they're attracted to those qualities but then the "new car smell" of the relationship goes away and there always seems to be a moment when I make the mistake of acknowledging one of my insecurities and it kills th…

This is how I look at it. I'd love to get married, but I've been hearing horror stories for my entire life about how badly and regularly men get screwed over by the family court system. I guess it's plausible that the situation isn't quite as bad as some men claim it to be, but there's no way they're all wrong. There has to be something to it. It doesn't help that like so many millennial aged men, my own experiences with dating women in my age group has been that consistently terrible. My experi…

Yeah there was an infamous clip of it going around years ago from one of those awful daytime talk shows for women, I think it was The View? They were taking about a recent story at the time where a woman drugged her husband with a paralytic and then when he was helpless she cut off his dick with a kitchen knife and tossed it down the garbage disposal. These women though it was hilarious. They thought it was the funniest shit ever. I don't know if any of them explicitly supported the perpetrator,…

Women like money and a lot of women like drugs, drug dealers offer both. I've known plenty of drug dealers in my life and none of them ever had any trouble finding female companionship. Even the gross fat ones always seems to have a pretty girl or two hanging around. I completely agree with you that it's gross. Drug dealers prey on the community and cause a lot of misery, women claim to be turned off but that, but the truth is that they're attracted to wealth and status which drug dealers can of…

This is really interesting to me. I always assumed that modern dating culture was more or less equally horrible in all developed Western countries, but I guess not? As an average looking American man I've had poor experiences dating in the US, but I've had experiences travelling in places like the Philippines and Kenya. As you'd expect the women in those places treat me a LOT better, than American women do. I always kind of assumed that it was because I'm a white guy and these women associated w…

Thanks. There's wayy too much alt-right misogyny style thinking on this sub. I dislike modern feminism, and I think that men are pretty blatantly disadvantaged in society today, but that doesn't mean that we have to lean into hate and right wing none sense to communicate our message.

Don’t assume that I lack a skeptical mind. I read the guy’s whole Wikipedia article earlier, I thought he might have some really interesting perspectives on feminism/men/etc I also saw that he’s a trump supporter who has accused LGBTQ people of grooming children. I’m a democracy, just because I’m critical of feminism doesn’t mean that I give a free pass to right wing thinkers who support fascist demagogues and accuse gay people of child abuse. This is so true, these terms are so often incorrectly utilized that it makes just having a discussion difficult. But I agree, true socialist minded leftists, or what misandrist media personalities used to call "Bernie Bros" are easily the most reasonable and open minded contingent among the American Left, especially where feminism and men's issues are concerned. But on the other hand the "woke" types who only seem to really care about social issues and culture war nonsense are completely unreach…

Doesn't James Lindsay refer to LGBT people as groomers? He might have some reasonable ideas about feminism, but I don't think anyone around here should be lending too much credence to what guy like that has to say.

What an absolutely fantastic comment. A true joy to read. I feel like you’ve expertly described a problem that I’ve been aware of for as long as I can remember, but which I always struggled to put into words. I have a lot to say but it’s late and I need to get to bed, so I’ll just say that I really appreciate you taking the time to type all that out, and I’m sure you must have some fascinating thoughts on a wide range of subjects. Cheers.

Without a doubt. I’ve heard female coworkers speak in excruciating detail about their sexual experiences more times than I can count. In my experience men almost never do that sort of thing, despite the stereotype.

It’s because women called each other sluts constantly. It’s endemic in female culture in the US. Growing up in the North East I can honestly only remember a handful of times in my entire life when I heard men call women sluts. On the other hand, I’ve heard women use that language referring to other women dozens, if not hundreds of times. Women slut shaming other women is completely ubiquitous. But for some reason men get blamed for it? It must be really nice to have “the patriarchy” as an excuse…

Totally agree. I don’t think Democrats in Washington really understand the damage they’re doing to the party’s future with all the radfem rhetoric. There’s an entire generation of progressively minded young men (especially young white men) who would happily vote Democrat if they thought the party cared about their issues. But to be blunt, the party does NOT care about young men’s issues, and in the case of white men, many left wing women will openly celebrate the fact that they’re struggling. So…

Yeah I think my politics most closely align with the so called “Bernie Bros” who supported Bernie for his progressive stances on healthcare, the economy, tax policy etc but who were mostly uninterested in the social issues that distract problems and which have been losing elections for democrats for decades. I’m quite progressive, further to the left than most democrats, but not as far as say, Bernie Sanders. I also think that the way feminists treat men is abhorrent, and that they have very effectively lobbied the Left to change laws that blatantly favor the interests of women and to the grim detriment of men, all in the name of “equality for women.” This, despite the fact that anyone with an internet connection could tell you that men are falling behind more and more each year and that basically a…

I couldn't agree more. The fact that we have to pretend that women are oppressed despite their obvious and glaring privilege infuriates me. It would be so easy to imagine a gross conversation like this happening between two men at work in like the 1950s, talking about how they need to use physicals force to make their wives respect them, and then just laughing it off. Oh yeah, I know about how white guys get fetishized in Asia. They don’t like to admit how crazy they are Caucasian men. I’ve had literal models throwing themselves at me in both Asia and Africa. That’s pretty shocking for a guy who often times struggles match with decent looking girls on tinder here in the west. Of course that was true in some times and places, perhaps even in most of them, but also it certainly wasn’t true in others. Human history encapsulates thousands of years and probably 10’s of thousands of different civilization. I believe very strongly in women’s equality and if I was 3p or 40 years older I think I’d be a loud and proud feminist, because I don’t think women were well treated in the mid twentieth century, and more recently the overturning of Ro was an outrageous attack on women’s…

Yeah I’d didnt want to get into it in my post but I do think the general claim that “women were terribly oppressed throughout all of history” really aught to be subject to scrutiny. Thank you for posting this, you’ve articulated a thought I have been having for years but for which I could never seem to find the right words to describe. For a long time I’ve gotten the impression that feminists have been using exclusionary language to not only vilify men with a lack of reproductive success, but also to intentionally push them out of the dating market so that they just won’t have to deal with them. Well, of course there are many people and organizations that have exploited teenagers for profit, but Beats by Dre is a particularly ugly example of using a clever marketing campaign to manipulate young people to buying substandard headphones at a premium price. Either way that particular sin pales in comparison to the woman beating.

Dre is a human garbage. He has a long (and extremely well documented) history of beating women and he made his money pedaling wildly overpriced head phones to impressionable teenagers. I have serious problems with the alimony system, but this is one ruling I'm not going to lose any sleep over. My only concern is that I doubt the sum of 2.5 mil a year will actually put a dent in his bank account.

The funny thing is that all the other Democrats seem to despise her, but personally she's probably the only member of the entire administration that I kind of like. The problem with this subreddit (and really the entire Men's Right's Movement) is that while there are obviously serious issues regarding male equality in our society, there's a huge portion of the user base here that are genuinely shitty, sexist, right-wing trolls which give the rest of us a bad name. Well, I think that people at the time were mostly (and still are) upset with Trump's blatant lack of professionalism. The man was running for the highest office in the land, an office which he ended up winning, so Rosio O'Donnal may well be a pig but that doesn't change the fact that Trump uses language that would probably get him fired from your local Dairy Queen. C'mon, be fair here. I never said that women needed to be defended. However, in the this instance i so happened to be doing so. Obviously, people as individuals will vary greatly in their opinions from person to person.
