In your opinion what factors make now such an opportune time to be a bachelor, if you don’t mind?

Yes I agree! My personal philosophy is one of service to others, generally, so when I say I intend to extract value for myself, in doing so my aim is at all times to create a holistic benefit despite exploitative conditions.

This is a beautiful response, thank you for your thoughts. My goal is to extract value from the corporate world just as it aims to extract value from me.

I hear you. Because I have a professional degree, I feel like it will be worth it to work in the corporate world for a short period of time while planning my exit.

I hear you. I am turning 30 and have also had to leave behind many things that were not portable enough to suit rapidly changing circumstances. I am still learning not to overvalue objects. I made no money in my 20s, I took on a lot of debt and just accepted a job that pays well. I will stay involved in startups when I can and speak to someone who can help me to invest toward financial freedom. Thank you for your advice.

Well, the money, presumably.

Right, that’s the dynamic to which I’m referring. Obviously one could simply avoid the corporate world altogether.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
